The food was lovely however we had to wait 25 minutes for dessert. Young Man told us we had to leave and our table was booked by someone else but we hadnβt even had our desserts yet. He went and grabbed our desserts straight away and when they came, my ice cream was like water so there was no point in even eating it so we just took our bottle of Prosecco that he told us we couldnβt take into the bar area because it was too busy and we left, poor service from this young man but the older man and the lady was lovely

Good bar food at a reasonable price. A good Idea to book a table in advance to make sure. Our table had a great view over the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Our order came out in good time. The food was tasty and portions good. I had a pint of Wingman and Anita a red wine, both good.

This is a nice little spot on the shore with a good view. I had the fish and chips with a pint and it was good. I even met Micky the mascot.

I visited the pub The Old Ship today. It was cold outside, but the sun was shining, creating a pleasant atmosphere. When I entered the pub, I was pleasantly surprised and delighted by the warm and friendly ambiance. At the time I visited (around 11:15 AM), there were no other customers, which allowed me to relax and enjoy a delicious coffee. I took several photos that I gladly share with you; everything was tidy and ready to welcome customers. After finishing my coffee, I am already eagerly anticipating when I will return to have dinner in the near future. I highly recommend this place for its peaceful atmosphere and wonderful view. Don't forget to register for parking if you come by car!

Lovely food but there was a half hour wait, we expected this with it being the weekend but would of been nice to of been told this when being seated. Then had a long wait for the table to be cleared after we had finished our mains and I requested my pre ordered desert. We did however have a lovely Seaview which was gorgeous and wish our local sizzling had such nice surroundings. Free car park on site and the toilets were clean. Would return if ever in the area again.

OK. In a good position as one 'tourists' around the sea. Friendly staff I wouldn't rush to go back, but I also would not 'bad mouth' the place. The food? OK. Scampi +Chips Burger + Chips 2 soft drinks Β£20 (May 2022) All eaten

Very disappointed from this visit! Havenβt been her in a while and the food was terrible. 50% of mains that I wouldnβt even pay a Β£1 for! The food was not as described, I ordered a old faithful burger (served in a deeded and not brioche bun) as well as my partner ordering a steak. After an hour wait on food- The steak was freezing, nobody to ask for help. My burger came out without onion rings and my side of Mac and cheese, when asked where they were the staff member just looked very puzzled as if it was our problem. There was no sense of urgency. The chips were cold and tasted like they had been left there for ages. I would have rather stayed home and cooked a meal for our anniversary, this was not worth the trip. I have reported this and commented on my service today so hoping to see hr deal with this is an orderly manner. Iβve always been a visitor to the old ship prior to lockdown etc but I will not be returning. If you look at the photos you will see the fatty steak! And the non existent bbq sauce which my burger is supposed to have as well as the freezing cold unmelted cheese that looked as if itβs been launched on my burger.

This is a lovely pub with great views looking over to the solent and the Isle of Wight. We had dinner, we had the lemon chicken skewers, which were delicious and the chicken platter which was large and delicious. We were stuffed after that but managed to eat a pudding, apple caramel crumble with custard and ice cream and a sticky toffee pud also with custard and ice cream. Both really tasty. The staff were all very nice and service was very quick. We loved the food, we will definitely be going back again. *****
