“Food is absolutely stunning... Flavorful, fresh and a great twist on classic flavours eg the brocamole... Fantastic! Food and drink service was quick even though the chef had 6 orders all at once from different tables. Nice clean and modern restaurant. Our only issue was the music, some sort of solom pop... It's a mexican inspired restaurant! something more uplifting/carnival style or even some mariachi guitar would make this place perfect. Will definitely be returning, we have made it our mission to try the whole menu!”

“My only slight criticism is that the place could do with a little redecorating but I imagine after the last couple of years that expenditure isn't a high priority. I can get over that as the food was fantastic. For the quality of food, prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend the pork main and the peach dessert. We had such a great evening of eating with some lovely wine. We will definitely be back!”

“Absolutely brilliant! I was lucky enough to be the celebrant for J&V's wedding last Thursday at The Millstream Hotel. I was welcomed by the General Manager and her team with coffee and freshly made cookies. Incredibly welcoming. The team looked after our wedding guests with care abd attention ensuring my couple had THE best day. Our service went perfectly with tge GM delivering sentimental items into the service for me to get the tone just right. Ice cream was served to all the guests whilst my couple signed thier certificate, and all in all they had the best day. Thank you for looking after me so very well, I hope to be back!”

“We are here on the spur of the moment for lunch and had a fantastic meal. Restaurant was bright and stylish and the food really lovely. I was not very familiar with Thai food but had the mixed starter platter which we thought might be expensive at nearly £10.00 per person but we were really pleased with this choice. Friendly staff helped us choose a main. My daughter had an amazing duck dish with lovely Jasmine rice. Now converted to Thai food in preference to Chinese and although we very rarely eat out I would return. Thank you for a lovely meal”

“Visited for Valentines Day at 8pm when it was extremely busy. Our waiter was lovely and helpful. The cocktails (Papaya Daiquiri and Apple Berry Smash) were gorgeous. We loved our starters (Vegetable Spring Rolls and Squid Bits), they were cooked to perfection and the accompanying sauces we delicious. We had the Thai Green Curry and Thai Melting Beef for mains, and the beef was lovely. I would highly recommend, and will be returning very soon.”

“This cafe is absolutely lovely. Attached to the main gallery. Cafe has three different seating area option, main dining room, courtyard (if the weather is nice) and the little lobby area of the gallery. Cafe is dog friendly which is perfect. We loved everything we ate. Fresh ingredients and flavour. Sparkling elderflower was really refreshing and not too sweet. Very good service as well :)”

“Was my first visit to the ivy with my parents for my pre birthday treat. The food was absolutely amazing So was the service provided by the staff. We were served by an amazing young lady called Eloise her attention to detail was 1st class she always had a smile on her face & made us feel very comfortable throughout our meal. She didn’t just seat us — she practically curated our entire happiness for the evening. She recommended dishes like she had a sixth sense. I’m convinced she can just look at someone and know if they’re a katsu person or a ramen soul. Great food, great service, and Maja deserves at least 3 pay rises and her own Netflix show. 10/10 evening. Would happily let her order for me again.”

“Been to this restaurant a couple of times so thought it was time to do a review. The restaurant is not the best decorated but don't let that put you off at all. The owner is always welcoming in fact all his family are as they all work in the restaurant from the kitchen to front of house. The food is just amazing from starters to maim courses. The sauces that are used in the various dishes are all home made. Lovely cold Chinese beer and perfectly chilled wine are also served promptly when requested. Then the bill comes which is really reasonable so along with the great food I keep coming back for.”

“I visited this restaurant at the weekend with my partner and 2 year old, they were very accommodating, polite and thorough with the service, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely, they were very kind to our little shy boy and even gave him a lolly pop at the end which he was thrilled about. 10/10 would recommend.”

The hotel was clean friendly and the pool was a little gem. I would say relaxed and perfect. I really enjoyed my stay here for a 3 star this hotel was an example of great cleanliness friendly staff and overall good service. I would not say anything was bad. Great location good to visit Portsmouth like we did. Next time will prob stay longer then 3. Breakfast was outstanding to the fried choice and then the fresh quality fruit or small pastries. Decaff was cool I had a big cafe tiere each breakfast. Just over all great choice!”
