“Had an excellent brunch on a drizzly Saturday morning - coffee was good, food looked and tasted delicious. Lovely staff too. My BBQ brisket was delicious, and friends had vegetarian options that they also devoured.”
“Went for dessert withy family, served by Elysia. Gave excellent recommendations and was prepared to have a laugh. Would recommend. Also they take blue light card 20% off.”
“Very nice Sunday roast with grass-fed beef. Better make reservation before visit.”
“Popped here for lunch and we chose from the set menu which for 3 courses for £22.95 is such a bargain. The food was excellent, the ambience lovely and the service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back soon.”

“What a lovely find. Food good priced and top quality. Highly recommended.”
“Fantastic place, plenty of free parking. A nice airy entrance way with counter to order at and very friendly staff. Plenty of good sized tables and booth areas so it does not feel cramped in any way at all. There is a good selection of options on the menu and reasonably priced for the portion size. We had a small breakfast and pancakes with bacon with a coffee and a hot chocolate. The drinks came out quickly and the food was brought out about 5 mins later, delicious and hot. The cafe is also dog friendly. Overall a great cafe, great food and great staff.”
“On a grey winter day, it was great to take my mother somewhere cosy for lunch. An open fire, home cooked food, friendly staff. Being busy with regular customers on a Tuesday tells you a lot. For beer lovers, they have a good selection of real ales. I recommend booking, we were lucky to get a table.”
“Highly recommended: the food is superbe and it’s in such a wonderful setting with a stream running through the garden. They are kids friendly too.”
“Met friends for lunch, our first visit. On a windy day a warm welcome. Friendly welcome and fabulous food.not rushed either which was nice. My wife loved the bao buns. Good vegetarian choice. And didn't mind elderly relative eating from children's menu as smaller dish. Would return”
“Excellent service with very helpful staff. Had the breakfast Burrito and chunky chips. Really tasty. Chips must have been twice cooked as crispy outside and fluffy inside. So delicious.”
“We were very impressed by the food and staff at the Earl of March today. We both had the scallops starter from the al a carte menu and the dish was perfectly cooked with delicious flavours We then each had an open sandwich, these were al a carte sandwiches at normal pub prices, I had Brie, beetroot and homemade pickle, my husband had beef, both came with pickled vegetables, remoulade and brilliant homemade chunky chips that as delicious as roast potatoes, the sandwiches were thoughtful, tasty and great value for money, even though we were full we couldn’t resist sharing the sticky toffee pudding dessert and we weren’t disappointed it was gooey but light, with great ice cream on a bed a crunch. The staff were friendly, there was a lovely fire burning and I expect we’ll be back.”
“My boyfriend and I were on a weekend getaway and looking for somewhere special to eat before seeing a play at the Festival Theatre. This did not disappoint. It was delicious food, and the service was excellent for pre theatre - very quick. We are still talking about the dessert - a banana and peanut butter trifle, which was frankly delicious. The setting also feels slightly retro, in a good way. Would thoroughly recommend.”
“Great service, really good waffles and a decent selection of ice cream. The coffee is good too”
