“We recently hosted a private function at Divine Restaurant in Shirley, Solihull on Saturday 30th May 2025, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re a team from EH Smith, and we had exclusive use of the restaurant for the evening – and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The team at Divine went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant felt welcoming and vibrant, perfectly suited for our group event. The food? Outstanding. Every single dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and authentically Indian. From the starters to the desserts, everything was top-notch – our whole team was raving about it! “I recently visited ME YOU / Desserts & Burgers and was blown away by the quality of the food and drinks. The burger was juicy and full of flavor, the karak chai was perfectly spiced and soothing, the Oreo milkshake was creamy and indulgent, and the pistachio milk cake was incredibly moist and delicious. Each item was crafted with care, and the combination of flavors made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving great food and desserts!”

“Found this by chance when walked near the Victoria Town Hall. I saw good review on Google map and never regret with my decision to give a try and the influence of the good reviews. The lamb is super yummy, when I start eating I was doubting was I ordering a beef steak but it wasn’t, is lamb. I’m very impressed with the texture and the taste of the gravy. Excellent! The appetisers and snacks are all yummy and served in style. This is a place where you see the restaurant manager guiding the trainee students and they execute their role up to standard. I’m not sure who is the lady that guiding the trainees but I just very certain she is a great person to take care of the restaurant and the trainees. She oversees the overall services and the training. Impressive! And Appreciate!”

“I been to the one in tyseley and enjoyed the food their, then they moved their branch to ladypool road. I had the lambo which was chicken steak my meal cost £17.90 as I got the large size and a mocktail. as a nice gesture they give you a dipping tray and nachos to try out the unique sauces to pick for your dishes, I picked the Naga mustard flavour for my steak. The food was really nice, only issue I had was the place was kind of stuffy during the hot days and surprisingly the place seems quiet compared to how it use to be in tyseley so highly recommended to try. The lighting is kind of dark so not sure if that puts people off when walking past. And the large portion doesn't seem large.”

Talking on my last visit I must say this is a epicentre in not only the midlands but also the UK that all food and wine lovers must attend. We enjoyed the Chefs Table along with Wine pairings and it truly was an amazing experience. Every piece of food so thoughtfully made within eyesight and explained by the accompanying chef. Wonderfully enjoyed beyond words, needs to be eaten to believe. Each course served with a perfectly matched wine from the truly knowledgeable Sommelier with a knowledge base far reaching every question asked! The kitchen staff themselves being an amazing team working together in a fluid atmosphere with the real life day to day, and the amazing teamwork to create the most amazing food all under the eye of Chef Adam. “Had the Bottomless Brunch here as a birthday treat, and we received great service from start to finish. It was my first time here so wasn’t sure what to expect but we really enjoyed it. A few more dishes could be added to the menu but what we had was delicious. We also had 2 cocktails each and a bottle of Prosecco on the table. I’m sure they would have bought us another bottle if we could have finished it but we were taking it slow due to a heavy one the night before! Definitely recommend and would come again!”

“We came here with a big group of family - meeting from different parts of the country - in the gap between Christmas and New Year and had a lovely welcome. They had no trouble accommodating our big group and brought a selection of delicious dishes, tej (honey wine) and beautiful traditional Ethiopian coffee and spiced tea. They really made our occasion special.”

“Went for a birthday meal on Tuesday 25th June. We were seated upstairs. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The tapas dishes we had were all delicious especially the pork belly each dish were flavoursome had 6 dishes in total between the 2 of us. We also ordered pratas bravas, chorizo, harissa chicken, casa med salad and bread with balsamic and oil. It was very filling so had no room for desert. With the 15% it was well worth it. I was pleasantly surprised how much it was so I recommend going on a Tuesday. This is the place to go for a special occasion.”

“Our first visit to the Olive Garden. We visited on the recommendation of a relative and it was fairly good. We ordered the grill platter and Iskender Falafel. The grill was more than enough for two and had a good amount of variety. Did find it somewhat bland, but that's because we normally prefer spices. However, the Olive Garden does offer a good alternative to the standard Indian grills. So it's probably a great option if you prefer less spicy foods. We were served by Hannah and the level of service was excellent. Most likely will visit again to try other menu entries. The restaurant is very clean and is furnished to a good standard. The only small issue was the latch on the male washroom: it doesn't lock.”

“We celebrated my spouse’s birthday with a wonderful dinner, enjoying perfectly cooked steak and delicious kebab both were incredibly flavorful and very satisfying. The birthday light show prepared by the staff, along with the beautifully presented baklava and cake plate, was truly impressive and made us feel very special. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. “It's a lovely resturants with a great atmosphere. The food was absolutely beautiful. We asked for a quiet corner table,as it was our wedding anniversary, which they catered for. They even surprised us with an anniversary dessert. Our server, Armahdo, was diligent, pleasant and catered for our needs. I would 100% recommend this resturant.”

“By far the best fish n chips in the whole of birmingham. Better than Bedders all day long. No weird greasy aftertaste, no smelly smells in the restaurant. The chips cooked to perfection. Fish was lovely and flaky no skin or off putting veins in the fish no bones, good decent portion size, average price. Service was friendly, atmosphere was relaxing, a great place to dine with plenty of seating either upstairs or downstairs. Overall 10/10 definitely worth going and has become our regular for fish n chips.”
