“We recently hosted a private function at Divine Restaurant in Shirley, Solihull on Saturday 30th May 2025, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re a team from EH Smith, and we had exclusive use of the restaurant for the evening – and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The team at Divine went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant felt welcoming and vibrant, perfectly suited for our group event. The food? Outstanding. Every single dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and authentically Indian. From the starters to the desserts, everything was top-notch – our whole team was raving about it! “We absolutely love pizza triangle. It is genuinely nice pizza. I always say, you know a good restaurant from an average one by the consistency of food. The pizza is always a solid 9/10 every time and if anything, it’s often a 10/10. It just gets better. Eating in is okay just with where it is and the inside.”

“My partner and I have recently visited Platform Three a few nights back after it was recommended to us. We always looked for places that have a warm and welcoming environment. The food we had was exceptional and the waiting and bar staff did a wonderful job of looking after us before and after our meal even though they were very busy, they couldn’t of done more for us. I would very much recommend this place to anyone who would like a relaxing evening. 100% would visit again!”

“The entree was AMAZING ☺️ Very friendly atmosphere. The staff accidentally flipped the open sign 20 minutes early because they were cleaning, but let us sit inside reviewing the menu while they finished opening. It's a hidden gem with great food, worth checking out. Only downside was parking, it's really limited out front, the near by supermarket parking is too short a duration, but the menu mentioned restaurant parking at the rear, though we didn't confirm how much was there ourselves.”

“Me and my wife decided to had lunch at five guys yesterday since we had not had it in a long time. And i must say it did not disappoint. The lady who served us was very nice to us. And the food was just on point everything from the burgers to the fries were nice. So definitely will come back.”

“We visited today for my daughter’s birthday and Dan and his team are amazing. They were friendly and efficient, double checking all orders, and checking we were all happy. It was so lovely to feel so relaxed and to see a team that is clearly well led by Dan. I’ve always loved zizzis but this experience sets it leagues above other restaurants in Solihull. I’m sure restaurant workers get a bit bored of bringing out birthday cakes, but it didn’t show! Thank you very much!”

“Always had good experience at this Nandos - especially since the refurb. Chicken is never dry and restaurant is clean. Also found, compared to other branches, they’re very organised and make a big effort to get everyone seated as soon as possible. Fatima (manager) especially adds to the experience. Always friendly and goes above and beyond for all customers. Also, she always remembers my nut allergy and double checks with me.”

“After trying many of the other local Currys houses I found Box Trees Indian. Box Trees Indian is a real gem! From the moment you arrive, Syed and his team make you feel so welcome – they are friendly, attentive, and always happy to go the extra mile. The service is outstanding and really adds to the whole experience. The food is just as impressive. Every dish is bursting with flavour, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality and freshness in each bite. Whether it’s a classic curry or something a little different, everything is consistently delicious. They are always willing to advise and tailor a dish to your taste also. With amazing staff and incredible food, Box Trees Indian easily deserves five stars. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an authentic, friendly dining experience. Cameron”

“Very nice decor, large restaurant with plenty of different seating and levels. Staff was very attentive and sat us very quickly, it was a quiet day. The table was big enough for all our food, there was salt and pepper at the table. We used a buyagift voucher with a set menu, this was very easy to use. Food was great, served quickly, staff checked on us regularly and were very nice and polite. We parked in the Asda car park as we did a little shopping afterwards (3h free parking).”

“Brad at The village Bar and Grill was friendly and gave us a great lunch recommendation. The chicken wrap with salad and chips was tasty and good value. Highly recommend for food and drinks if you're nearby.”

“Came here for my birthday, enjoyed a nice meal with my mom, dad and brother. I had the chicken pasta which was really yummy. As it was my birthday the staff sung me a happy birthday song which filled me with joy and happiness. Got given a handmade balloon hat which I put on my head for the duration of the time we was there. I also got given some cake with cream which was delicious! I was able to use my student discount but the signal here isn't really the best. Amelia was really nice, polite and friendly. Thank you :-)”

“We came here for an anniversary dinner and we had a lovely time, thank you! The food is superb and staff were brilliant. The veggie menu was great and my partner loved his pork main. If I could make one suggestion, the wine list seems to be mostly 'easy to drink' wines, it could do with some more advanced, adventurous options. Especially reds, I wish there was a proper smoky red to go with the beef and pork. It's a beautiful place, so jealous of the walled vegetable garden, ! Would come back for sure”

“Really lovely lunch one day and brunch on another over the weekend. Food is well cooked, presented and tasty. Varied and interesting food and drinks menus. Average ‘gastropub’ prices. Staff really friendly. Great outdoor space and a large pergola with fire and ping pong table (noticed they also have tv presumably for sports and hire the pergola out for parties). Weird thing to say on a review but appreciated nice and clean toilets with free sanitary products in the ladies in case you’re caught short. Small thoughtful gestures like this are always a winner imo.”

The Vada Pav was the highlight for me—perfectly spiced, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It’s easily my favorite item here! A special mention to the restaurant manager, Mr. Omkar, who was very warm and welcoming. He personally served us and made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent service and great food—highly recommended!”

Not just taking our orders but generally making conversation and helping us to feel as though our custom mattered. Food was crazy delicious! Had the Chicken Palka which was divine. “Great steak, ribeye was cooked to perfection and the tomahawk was really good value for money. One of the best old fashions i've had in a while. We were so well looked after by all the team and especially our server, she was great!”
