“We recently hosted a private function at Divine Restaurant in Shirley, Solihull on Saturday 30th May 2025, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re a team from EH Smith, and we had exclusive use of the restaurant for the evening – and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The team at Divine went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant felt welcoming and vibrant, perfectly suited for our group event. The food? Outstanding. Every single dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and authentically Indian. From the starters to the desserts, everything was top-notch – our whole team was raving about it! I've discovered a new favourite dish..the Murghi Special, it was amazing, would recommend..and a reasonable price considering it includes mushroom pilau rice. Offered lime pickle (as well as the usual accompaniments) with the poppadoms, which I love..and the keema naan was also lovely. 5/5 from me....it'll be my new fave place now for home delivery. “First time visit on a Saturday. We booked, as table was for 7. Extensive menu. All the favourites. The 'signature dishes' were all unique as far as I could tell, and from this I chose Chicken Chemali. Which had a sort of soy, honey,sticky vibe, and utterly delicious. Signature dish meant it came with matched rice and a triangular plate. Standard dishes had circular plates.... Nice touches included....trolley bringing food to our table included a gas hob to ensure perfect temp for the dishes......waiters asked how much of your dish you wanted to start with on your plate, and measured it out for you.....free shots at the end with a choice of sweets/after eights/aniseed. Wonderful service and a pleasant setting right near the huge free car park of Olton Station. Update 14/1/23. Another Very Successful takeaway. Now our go-to Indian Restaurant Update 19/9/23. Another excellent meal in the restaurant. All others are now compared to this one, as the benchmark. Look out for special offer when you dine in off peak. Update 5/2/24. Still great. I think the plates are a bit bigger? We were all stuffed. Saturday evening and it was packed, but still great food. Update 22/9/24. They've updated their menu. All the old favorites of mine, and some new ones to try over coming visits...... All with dish names I don't think I've seen on a menu before. Check it out! Just remember to book on Saturdays. PS, there's currently 25% off food when you dine in Sunday to Thursday”

“We throughly enjoyed a delicious meal from Saffron. Ordering the food and payment online was very easy. The food was delivered on time and was still very hot on arrival. Great choice of food available and this meal was exceptionally tasty and provided good value for money. I recommend without any hesitation whatsoever.”

“Stopped in by chance as was staying nearby. Had the Chicken Tikka Bhuna with Mushroom Pilau. The food was excellent. Rate to find a Bhuna fine just right - the sauce was think worth a nice texture and very tasty, not too spicy so could be enjoyed. I was treated warmly and service was quick. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are nearby”

“Visited Friday 28th November 6.00pm. Great service and food. Visited with two friends. The King Prawn Madras which is my regular dish was the best one i have ever had. The prawns were big and juicy and the sauce was proper Madras hot which these days is rare. Always on hand to supply more beer and was great value.I did not tip because 10% service charge was put on which i think was enough . I will definetly come again and urge others to try this little gem upstairs.”

The Vada Pav was the highlight for me—perfectly spiced, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It’s easily my favorite item here! A special mention to the restaurant manager, Mr. Omkar, who was very warm and welcoming. He personally served us and made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent service and great food—highly recommended!”
