“What an amazing place. Extremely busy and we visited on a Monday night. We booked as we were a group of six and I am glad I did as the wait was 90mins or more. It's clear why this place is busy, the food is fantastic and the service is good. We ordered mains with rice and naan, along with small plates and shared amongst us.”
“I had a fantastic experience at Chaska Indian Restaurant in Edinburgh. The food was absolutely delicious – full of authentic flavours and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal. A special mention to Raj and Kiran, who provided amazing service throughout – they were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. Their hospitality really elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!”
“It was my first time in Scotland and first Indian restaurant in scotland and I must say that really great food. We asked them to make it Indian spicy and it was worth saying that. All the dishes were delicious. Being served and taken care by their two of the girls and they were very hospitable and good at their work. Highly Recommended”
“The place was empty on a Monday night, we had a reservation at 6:00. By the time we left it was full. The food was wonderful, the Junglee Lamb and Samosas were amazing. Butter chicken is always a good bet as well. The service was kind, made great suggestions and were attentive. The atmosphere is inviting and the restaurant was bright and clean. Great place to enjoy some delicious Indian fare.”
“First meal from here . One word fantastic from ordering, delivery and to stomach. Superb”
“Attentive service The food was so flavoursome and beautifully presented We shared a Nepalese meal and added a side and it was sufficient after a starter each Would highly recommend and we will go back Decor and toilets are basic but clean Toilets are downstairs so maybe a problem for someone with mobility issues”

“We stopped by Tuk Tuk for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent — friendly and attentive from start to finish. We shared the chaat as an appetizer, which was fresh and full of flavor, and then had Dal Makhni with garlic naan for our main course. The portion sizes were generous, and the dal was perfectly creamy and delicious. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food!”
“My brother and I actually visited twice last week such was the quality of the food and service. I tempt fate about once a year and go for a vindaloo, it was superb. My brother had the mixed grill selection and all was beautifully cooked and flavoured. We had a starter selection in advance and all was tasty. A couple of Gurkha beers too just for research purposes! The 2 waiters were most friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend.”
“Melt in the mouth lamb, perfectly cooked chicken accompanied by absolutely delicious sauce, freshly soft and crisp nan and salad. First time ordering from here, definitely not the last!”
“First time eating here and the food is fantastic! Excellent staff, generous portions, and full of superb flavour. The chicken 65 and garlic chilli chicken were amazing. Will go again.”
“I have to say that this was exceptionally good value, given the quality and portions. The flavours of the lamb dishes - Zeera and Murgh Ananas were great, with the fresh herbs and spices coming through strongly and the meat had a delicious, tender texture. What struck me was the generous size of the starter selections too, more than enough to save for a snack the following day. Bravo. We'll return.”
“We come every week, sometimes twice. I’ve eaten in Indians all over Scotland, England and abroad and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. It quite simply the best food at the best price. Amazing restaurant…!!”
“Truly Indian! Request to the management: Whatever happens don't change the chefs! One of the finest and best restaurants offering Indian cuisine as exactly as India. The first bite itself will bring back life to the buried desi in you. I've tried so many Indian restaurant in Dublin and London but this is simply The Best! Ordered achari naan, garlic chili paneer, chicken tikka and mushroom rice. All three are wholesome and must try and amazed by the long list of options available for vegetarians! Price and reasonable and quantity are enough for a single person. Great ambience and super friendly staff members. You can enjoy a great meal along with vintage Bollywood songs playing in the background.”
“The food was very nice and delicious, it filled me up very much. The service was incredible and I was treated with most respect. The waiting time was not too long and if I were to come to an Indian restaurant again I would definitely come back to Bonoful restaurant.”
“We were looking for an Indian restaurant for a while now and finally found a great spot! Full of flavors. The service here is great special thanks to our server Akash! Would definitely come back again!”
“Welcoming staff created a very good first impression, and their service throughout my dine in was excellent. The food was delicious, especially chilli fish and chicken masala on the bone. No long wait time made the experience even better.”
“We've had a few great meals from the Khukuri. Very friendly, well organised and a great selection of dishes. The food is great and has been very reliable for us. The Nepalese dishes are a nice change from the standard Indian ones. Their timing is accurate.”
“5 stars all around. Lovely restaurant inside. The lady was so very friendly and kind, and the food was delicious and came quickly. Very good prices. Two very happy customers!”
“Simply amazing. Best korma on the Isles so far :). Great people and service. The samoosa started was also super tasty with some interesting chickpea companion.”
“Didn’t try many items, although the ones we tried were really good, South Indian food( masala dosa and mendhu vada) was very traditionally cooked, so was the indo-chinese chilli chicken. Service is a bit slow, waited 40 mins although there were just 2 people in the restaurant other than us. So make sure to order everything at once so that you don’t have to wait midway through for additional dishes.”
“I recently visited Rustam Restaurant in Edinburgh and had a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with elegant décor that makes it perfect for both a relaxed dinner and a special occasion.”
“We visited this place on July 30, and from the very first moment to the final goodbye, it felt truly wholesome. The food was absolutely delicious — it reminded us of the authentic flavours of home, Nepal. It was also my friend’s birthday, and the team surprised her with a lovely gesture. I know this appreciation comes a bit late, but a huge thank you to the entire team for making it such a memorable experience.”
“Shinwari Restaurant in Edinburgh offered a truly delightful experience. The taste of the food was exceptionally good, with authentic flavours that impressed the whole family. Portions were generous, and the service was attentive, making for an overall very good and memorable family meal. Highly recommend for Pakistani cuisine lovers!”
“The restaurant is bigger than it looks from outside ! It has an incredibly varied menu including the usual Indian favourites but also a vast choice of speciality Nepalese dishes and even British choices for the less adventurous. Attentive and fast service. There were a few steps down to the tables area within the restaurant, but I saw a gentleman with a walking frame negotiate them.”
“The food was amazing. The curry's were flavourful and a great recommendation. The brownie was soft and so rich, a perfect end to the night. Will definitely go back.”
“Eventually got around to a Peppercorn carry out last night. Loved it. Mixed Pandora was lovely and the Lamb Rogan Josh/sauce was tasty as, rice also, good portion of meat which is definitely not the case these days in many takeaways. Although I do think Indian takeaway breads in general can be thinner/tastier no complaints about it.”
“I rarely give out 5 stars But it's so hard to find authentic food here. They deserve it. It's authentic, it's well executed, and honestly, I couldn't find a thing to complain about with the dosa, it came so quickly too. Absolutely delightful, all the 3 sauces were good too Tandoori roti was stellar too, very crispy and flavourful enough Their curries are a lot more mild, the ennai kathirikai was alright, but nowhere near as impressive as their breads Mango lassi was solid too Must try Second visit: Paneer dosa filling not as good, also, don't get the main portion, because the starter portion is crispier Garlic naan strong garlic flavour, not much oil, well executed except that it lacks a bit of body and seasoning on its own”
