“⭐ Highly Recommended! ⭐ I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Manchurian for takeaway, and honestly, it was the best I’ve had in Edinburgh so far! Huge compliments to the chef — the flavours were spot on, and the food was perfectly cooked. There are plenty of Indian restaurants around, but this one truly stands out for its authentic taste and generous portions. The serving size is just right for one person, and tastes delicious If you’re craving great Indian food or Street food, this place is a must-try!”
“Halal and Delicious ,, we had chicken biryani, green salad, nuggets and fries also deserts,, clean restaurant and helpful staff”
“Fast and fresh with fantastic service !”
“Best Indian food we've had. Freshly cooked and just absolutely gorgeous! We came here 3 out of our 6 nights in Edinburgh. Friendly chef and waiter. Would highly recommend.”
“Just had a large order from here, was very impressed. A slightly different taste to the other Indian takeaways in the area, but really nice. The Devil Chicken starter was amazing. Will definitely be ordering from here again.”
“Highly recommend dining in or takeaway. Very tasty chicken tikka masala with garlic naan bread!”
“As a family we have eaten takeaway from here several times and each time we have been very impressed particularly by the vegetable side orders. As it is a new business, I thought I'd leave a positive review. Service was friendly and prompt too. It's very unusual to find Indian food this good without venturing into the city centre.”
“Had number 17 and it was absolutely delicious. Very unique place but highly recommend to anyone thinking about trying it!”
“Always get a consistently good curry from here and not as over priced as other local curry houses. However the Rice is way too expensive in my opinion. Delivery is usually pretty good too.”
“Excellent takeaway. Prawn dopiaza was very good, as were aubergine and spinach dishes. They prepared a potato and cauliflower dish after we asked even though not on the menu - very tasty although quite hot. Friendly service and they didn't charge for a can of Diet Coke.”
“We booked a Christmas meal for 21 of us. It was a great night. The Christmas menu was brilliant, so much food! It all arrived together, piping hot, and vegatarian options were swapped in for two of the party. The service was great from all the staff, special mention to Joe and Seville and of course, 'the Boss'. Thanks for a great night. L Glen.”
“It was my first time at Tantra yesterday and will certainly not be my last. Lovely modern restaurant with great high quality food. The food was delicious and portions generous. There was also a good selection of wines. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and I definitely intend returning.”
“Popped in after Scotland V USA rugby match as we're starving. What a place, food was outstanding and the service was fantastic. Well done.”
“Been going here for years i stay at liberton but travel there for the great food spicy chicken pizza fantastic veg curry anazing owners and staff are very friendly best in area for take away 5 star plus prices good”
“We visited Corner Curry House and had a wonderful evening from start to finish. We began with papadom and chutney, which were crisp, fresh, and full of flavour. For starters, we went for the mix pakora and chicken pakora — both served hot, well-seasoned, and perfectly fried. The chicken pakora was especially tender with a satisfying crunch. For our mains, we enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and lamb bhuna. The tikka masala was rich, creamy, and comforting, while the lamb bhuna had tender pieces of lamb in a deep, aromatic sauce. We paired these with pilau rice and paratha bread, both of which were excellent — fluffy rice and a soft, warm paratha ideal for scooping up the curries. Although the restaurant has a bring-your-own policy, which allowed my wife and me to enjoy our own bottle of wine, they also offered a good range of soft drinks. We tried a J2O and a Fanta, both refreshing and nicely chilled. For dessert, we tried the gulab jamun, which was warm, sweet, and beautifully soft — a perfect finish to the meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Extra tip: Corner Curry House also offers delivery and collection, perfect if you want to enjoy their food at home.”
“We are lucky to have such a good Indian restaurant in Haddington. The restaurant itself is huge and a little dated inside so we prefer to stick to takeaways. Food is cooked fresh and very tasty. Lovely staff too. We can recommend.”
“During my visit to Edinburgh i tried Nanyang Restaurant and was very impressed with the food and the portion sizes. We were unable to finish all the food. The service and atmosphere was also top class. Not sure why they would redo the receipt and add 25p because i requested 1 container to take away some food, was it even worth the hassle”
“I have mainly ordered takeout and I've had good meals each time. I recommend the spring rolls and the Singapore noodles!”
“Amazing pizza, very good service!”
“My husband and I had dinner on the last day of our trip and it was a highlight in every way. The food was delicious and plentiful, the ambiance was great, calming and luxurious. The service was superb. Thank you for a great last evening in Edinburgh!”
“Very good Indian restaurant with a good selection of dishes and sides. Very well situated with a view of Calton Hill while you dine. A very nice dining experience at an acceptable price. I can recommend the fish tikka, it’s stunning!”
“We read good reviews of this restaurant and since it is only 4 mins drive from the hotel we were staying, decided to patronise it. After 5:30pm convenient to park along road just after the restaurant. To start with, we had 2 masala tea. Ordered the Bhukari lamb and chicken bryani, prawn masala and garlic nan. Did not disappoint, all the food were tasty and service personnel were very attentive and friendly.”
“Best Indian I've tried in Edinburgh. Nan bread always perfect, crispy and soft at the same time and flavourful with garlic and coriander. Great tandoori, go for the mixed selection! Paneer curries always packed with spices and wonderfully flavourful. Unlike most Indian restaurants, the meat in curries is not overcooked. Would highly recommend. They offer you a discount by cutting out the middle man (just eat) and ordering through their website. Wish more curries came with a paneer option though.”
“Superb food, full of flavour and good portions. Best I've tried in East Lothian.”
“Lovely restaurant and bar below The Brunswick Hotel. Service was very friendly and the recommended dinner (Chicken Parmgiano) was a perfect fit. Quite wide drink menu and Fever Tree as house tonic that paired lovely with the Gin. Thank you for a pleasent evening.”
“I have tried many Indian restaurants in Edinburgh but now I have a stop - Taste of Delhi. Delicious food, awesome chef and very carefully delivered by the team. Makes me feel like it's worth spending money on Indian food when I order from taste of Delhi. Would recommend all to try taste of Delhi, without any delay. Cheers to Team.”
“Dangal was recommended to me by my close friend. And I’m glad that I visited here. It’s a 10/10 place for Indian food lovers. Don’t forget to order their mixed grill.”
“First time customer after receiving the flyer yesterday. We are impressed! (You guys should have put the flyer to our mailbox WAAAAYYYY before!!!)”
“Unbelievable Indian. Popped in last minute and is by far the best Indian we have had in a long time. Great service, very welcoming and happy to discuss menu in depth. Would highly recommend. Our new local.”
“Great takeaway with reliable service. The food has a homely taste and the spice levels are just right. Always a pleasure ordering from Shanaz.”
