On our first night in The Bruntsfield the restaurant part of The Neighbourhood was closed so we had a couple of drinks, the bar staff are very friendly and they serve a decent selection of Scottish Whisky’s, all at very reasonable prices. For the second night of our stay the restaurant section was open so we decided to give it a try… my husband and I shared a large portion of nachos to start… homemade tortillas with lashings of melted cheese, they were some of the best nachos we’ve eaten. For mains we both enjoyed the Irn-Bru fish and chips, which were also delicious! The Irn-Bru in the batter added a subtle sweetness which was very unique! And to finish we had a couple of drams of whisky. The restaurant and bar got very busy with travellers from all over the world creating a buzz which was fantastic.

Lovely restaurant and bar below The Brunswick Hotel. Service was very friendly and the recommended dinner (Chicken Parmgiano) was a perfect fit. Quite wide drink menu and Fever Tree as house tonic that paired lovely with the Gin. Thank you for a pleasent evening.

We thought we had booked a restaurant. We entered through the hotel and took the lift downstairs. We were not greeted and not seated. The waitress was a very pleasant young lady rugby player who had clearly not been trained. The table wasn’t set properly, we had to ask for napkins. The entire experience will never be repeated.

Ordered chicken curry, steak, toffee caramel pudding. Everything tasted really great, love the gravy sauce of the steak. the chicken curry was the one that really stood out, very tasty not in a typical curry way.

I had the orzo pasta with sundried tomato, gorgonzola and pine nuts and the apple ginger and pecan crumble with creme anglaise. Beautiful food with good portion sizes. The orzo was delicious and filled me up but I just had to taste the desert. Staff were so helpful and attentive. Would definitely be back.

Very poor quality pizza. Hard to chew the dough, and I am not an old lady. Even difficult to cut it using the pizza cutter. But the staff was super nice. And the garden was good vibe. Wish they could improve the food !
