“A faboulus 11 hour monster tour to the Highlands fulfilled all our expectations. Our safe and never tired driver Ken was far more than that with his excellent historical knowledge, which was a welcome addition to our visit to the Edinburgh National Museum the day before. So this trip became an unforgettable encounter with both Scottish landscape and its history.”

“AI is topical at the moment in discussions with friends and family so I took my earpods and listened to two podcasts while Grace beavered away during my second root canal treatment. She was able to find a fourth canal which had eluded her in the first session. Such determination paid off. Dentists' daughters such as I must make the worst patients! I am grateful for the forbearance of Grace and the rest of the team at Hope Park Dental Practice who have looked after me so well for many years. Happily, after the recent two sessions of root canal treatment I have been pain free.”

“I would like to thank Dill for treating my BPPN and my vestibular problem. Dill said I was the worse patient she had seen. Most people only go once or twice but I had to have more sessions. Before I went to Dill I had a few bad episodes of BPPN on one occasion I had to call out the paramedics as I was so dizzy. It was a big worry to me and I felt lost not knowing what to do the Doctor only me medication which masked the symptoms. Luckily a friend of mine knew two friends who had been to see Dill and told me about Th Balance Clinic. Dill is an expert and is so knowledgeable about BPPV she took the time to explain everything in great detail. Thank you so much Dill for everything.”

“On a Saturday my old Vokera boiler stopped working and by that Thursday I had a new and stronger Glow Worm boiler installed, with minimal fuss, by Adam. I phoned Adam on the weekend and he came out first thing on Monday to have a look. The gas valve was broken, so Adam sent me over invoices for the broken part and for new boiler without pressure to choose. In the end, given the boiler’s age I opted to have it replaced. He and his colleague came out on Thursday and within a few hours my boiler was installed, and they were so clean with the instal! So so rare with tradespeople. Would 10/10 recommend and will be having him service my boiler annually.”

The family run farm is friendly and welcoming and the kids just loved getting up close with the animals. There's hand washing facilities, toilets, picnic tables (if you want to bring your own snacks and lunch) and a hut with refreshments available to buy too. Well worth a visit!”

“My partner and I have visited many dog parks (at least 15/20) and we’d say this one is the best one! We live over an hour away but make the journey as our wee beagle loves it here. Definitely one of the biggest ones we’ve been to and has everything (lots of space, sensory garden, lots of equipment, fresh water, poo bags, toilet facility etc). We’re wary of some parks in terms of safety and the wee one escaping but we have no worries with this one. Will be back soon!”

“Took my BMW in for an intermittent issue with the Power steering several times. The garage took an approximate 10 hours of work time to look into the issue for me and unfortunately couldn't locate the issue. At the end of it, they only charged me for 2 hours labour which was very generous considering the amount of time they spent on my car! They also adjusted my handbrake (which was needed) without asking me or charging me. Very pleasant experience and will definitely be going back for my car needs.”

“I have just finished Invisalign with Elaine. The service was second to none. Elaine, and all the staff at the practice were welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to make me feel comfortable. The results are great and the process was extremely simple. I also had quotes from two other practices in Dunfermline and Comely Park were the best value for money. I have moved to Comely Park as my usual dentist now as I was so impressed with the service. Would definitely recommend.”

The very northern end of the crag affords a most intriguing panorama of the Royal Mile from Holyrood Palace all the way up to Edinburgh Castle.”

“One of my favourite gardens in Edinburgh, it’s enjoyable to walk around or inside the park. The garden has a collection of different kind of flowers, either wild flowers and blossoms planted by gardeners from spring to summer. The garden is not huge but enough size to be awesome. Apart of that, the park has a coffee shop, playground area for kids, area for skaters and bikes, basketball and football fields and beautiful interior gardens with fish tank included. Everything in one place, what else you can ask for.”

“Barklay Park Dog Daycare is an absolute gem. My dog Benny absolutely loves it there - he has the best time every single visit and comes home happy and tired from all the fun. The staff are incredible; so friendly, caring, and always go above and beyond to help. It's clear they genuinely love what they do, and Benny clearly feels that too. The location is brilliant, and really easy to get to, which makes everything that bit smoother. I honestly couldn't recommend it more - it's the perfect place if you want your dog to be safe and loved, and have a ball while you're away.”

    Pittencrieff Park

    ★★★★☆ 4.7
    Open

“Beautiful park, great for kids and adults, bring some nuts as the resident squirrels eat them right out of your hand, The parking is free, disabled parking is next to the bandstand, drive through the first parking lot and follow the road through, You could also park in the main street and get access to the front entry of the park, just be mindful of any parking fees or time limits, it is easier to park in the parks, parking lot, There is an old church with an old cemetery, look up to the big square tower of the church and see king Bruce, carved at the top, im not entirely sure but there is a connection to robert the Bruce, from the cemetery the views are absolutely stunning u can see the 3 bridges over the firth of forth Next to this church is the ruins of dunfermline abbey its stunning i prefer ruins, it is free to visit both the church and abbey but for the Abbey they said u had to go online and book your ticket and show the arcade to the staff member You don't need to go into the Abbey grounds to appreciate it, u can look down on it from the cemetery, dogs are allowed into the Abbey but not the church, it is worth going into the church its beautiful beyond words inside A wander around to the glasshouse its full of exotic plants from around the world there is also formal gardens right next to the glasshouse, a bit further up the path heading towards the peacock cafe is a sunken Japanese garden it sadly is a bit over grown and the pagoda thing is falling to bits, its still worth going down there though, Near the cafe, which seemed popular on the day I visited, you will find the peacocks wandering around freely, so its best to keep your dog on a lead in this area, from the cafe its only a short walk back to your car, Overall this park is a must visit especially if you are a history enthusiast, all around the park is hidden remnants of historical buildings My only problem with this park is the chronic lack of signs telling you where to find certain areas, so its just a matter of wandering around until you stumble along something historical There are some pretty steep hills and steep paths made of rocks, but most of the main paths are in good condition but not really suitable for someone in a wheelchair There is an old train engine that kids can climb on, as well as a few large kids play parks There is loads of benches or grassy bits to stop and have a picnic, just keep an eye out for rogue squirrels they really aren't afraid of humans The park is big, around 75 acres if I remember but u can do a short or long walk depending on your fitness Stepping into this park feels like u have stepped back in time, u can feel and imagine how it was like back then, take your time and enjoy the atmosphere of this park xx”
