Campground in Edinburgh

“Site staff are friendly and very welcoming, the site is clean, shower and toilet facilities are immaculate. The site was packed but there was still a relaxed friendly atmosphere about the site. We will visit again on our next excursion north and would recommend this site. To the staff……great work guys it’s nice to see people that understand the value of customer service.”

“Clean and quiet and fun We went with our 3 children all under 10. The wigwams themselves were clean and comfortable. They look out onto a hay field. There are animals on the farm, but you can choose to interact with them or not. Once my 3 year old discovered there were sheep she could be face to face with, that was it. The owners are all extremely patient, friendly and knowledgeable. If you have any questions about places to go and things to do, they can help you out. The kitchen has almost everything you could need for cooking. There is an indoor entertainment room with games, a TV and table tennis. There is an outside playground. And the toilets and showers are all very clean. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay outside of the city.”

“The Owner was friendly and the Lady who was looking after the caravan park whilst I stayed was very friendly and helpful. (It’s terrible but after two and a bit months I’ve forgotten her name). The shower and toilet block were very new looking and clean. The kitchen was well set-up and modern also. The wifi was great in the kitchen.”

“Reasonable price for UK standards. Really lovely location with not just the church (good enough reason in itself, about 150 m away!) but a lovely ruined castle, gorgeous walks along the river in a lovely forest. Facilities good and clean.”

“The staff was superb helping us out, gave great recommendations. Short walk to the bust stop making it easy to get to downtown Edinburgh. We have camped all over the United States and now have 10 days in Scotland under our belt. This facility has the best and cleanest bathrooms/showers anywhere.”

“We enjoyed a terrific break over Christmas. Caravan was immaculate and in a lovely quiet spot. The park itself looked suitably festive and the staff were thoughtful and helpful, even visiting the van to check we had enough kitchen utensils for Xmas day. Can't wait to come back. “One of the nicest sites we have camped at. Great pitch size. A busy site, but didn't feel too crowded. The toilet and shower facilities were fantastic and extremely clean. Great showers. Cubicles had plenty of hooks for our clothes/towel/bag etc. Nothing got wet. Plenty of hand basins, with light up mirrors, and single Cubicles as well. Well stocked shop with reasonable prices. We were 2 adults camping so didn't use the playground or games room, but both looked great. The staff were pleasant, polite and friendly. Excellent location for Edinburgh city centre. Bus stop just outside drive entrance, with regular buses. Would not hesitate to recommend.”

“Fantastic little place in the country, everything you need is provided, bring your own food and drink (fridges space allocated to your tent), toilet/shower shed for your tents use, great little find and friendly/helpful host.”
