“We stayed for one night with a four legged friend, en route to see friends. A lovely quiet site, fabulous showers, large pitch. Lisa was really helpful in suggesting great restaurants. We would stay again.”
“Great site, likely the best ablutions I've ever seen at a camp site ever! Staff were fab, friendly and very helpful. Great location to look around the area and the local pubs where fab also for food.”
“We booked this in advanced as no bookings on gate, so happy we did, it was fantastic! We had 2 adults and 1, 11 year old with us, and couldn't recommend enough!! We turned up at 09:45 and stayed until 1400, the Q lake was super clean and facilities - shower, toilets and changing rooms all well kept too. We stopped off at the cafe on our way back to the car and had pizza and chips - delicious!!! Food was fresh and tasted yummy! Next time we visit we will most likely camp over as well to make a weekend of it. We will be back!!! Thanks for a great experience Pool Bridge Farm.”
“Nice campsite within a wooded area. Toilets and showers lovely and clean. Also washing up area with washing machine and dryer available for a fee. Nearby dog walk. Nags Head pub a good walk away but worth it as food excellent. Would not hesitate to book there again.”
“Just got back from a wonderful trip to york, the market, and Christmas lights werea joy. The naburn lock caravan site was fabulous, great staff very very helpful ( special thanks to Kevin for all his help) The amenities so so good, first time I've not used our caravan shower so I could enjoy the large brand new shower suite ;) Love adult only quiet site, with large pitches. Will go again xx”
“Lovely old pub in a beautiful setting with a good selection of beers. We visited in the winter so sat indoors but will definitely be going back next summer for a outdoor pint .”
“Fantastic hosts. Lovely campsite for our motorhome. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. Beautiful scenery too”
“We had an amazing stay at Catgill Glamping Pods! From the moment we arrived, everything was clearly signed and beautifully presented, with a modern, welcoming reception. The pods are perfectly placed on a hillside overlooking the stunning Bolton Abbey village – the views are incredible. The pods themselves were spotless, stylish, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was a real highlight – preheated and ready to go, with logs provided. We booked the over-50s deal and were pleasantly surprised with a free bottle of bubbly and a warm breakfast (fresh pain au chocolat and coffee) delivered right to our pod in the morning – such a lovely touch! The location is ideal for walks into Bolton Abbey and there are great cafes nearby. We highly recommend Catgill and will definitely be returning”
“This is an amazing place. Placed a in lovely location just outside York. The Glamping pod we had was very clean and tidy, nicely presented. All facilities were great, easily accessible. I only graded the service low, as we never saw any staff members on arrival, or departure, but I received lots of clear communication via email to direct us during our stay. We would definitely visit this place again.”
“Lovely place to stay! Really clean and comfortable with all the things you would need for a stay- really well equipped kitchen. Lovely basket of treats on arrival welcomed you to the cottage. The hot tub was fab and a a great way to unwind after a walk around Howard Castle! The location is great- we are non drivers so it was just a short Uber ride from York station. There was also a village centre around 10mins walk away where you’ll find two nice pubs and a mini Tesco. Would definitely recommend!”
“Fantastic alternative type of site . The facilities are very rustic so bare that in mind . However the bar is fabulous, live music on a Friday led by the family , Nigel and Shane . Saturday open mic night so plenty of entertainment. Site is laid back , firepits Inc logs and kindling are only 15 quid and saves you having to bring it . Decent burning logs too ! Nigel is aways full of fun and Shane the new boy is an incredibly friendly and helpful person.”
“Great place to stay, great for just adults or with children. we stayed in our camper van. Great pub on site all the facilities you need would highly recommend.”
“Great little campsite right next to the river. Walk straight from the campsite along the river. Really beautiful walk. Great for spotting Heron, Dippers and Kingfishers. Only 2 toilets and showers but they are really good, lovely and spacious and clean.”
“This is a nice campsite and is well maintained. It is in a good position to explore the local area including York. There is some slight road and air noise but it wasn't enough to bother us. The owner is really nice and willing to help if you need it. The facilities are well maintained . I would recommend getting a fire pit too, they are very nice in the evening.”
“Such a lovely cafe, dog friendly, the staff were so kind and welcoming, the holiday park is beautiful, a great place to eat :)”
“Didn't stay here, but visited a family friends caravan/lodge. Nice and tidy surround and great views.”
“Relaxed biker cafe and campsite. The food was simple and tasty. Staff were very friendly. Nothing pretentious. The camping pitches are a good size and can be had with electric for a small addition charge. NOTE: You are very close to the train line and so the campsite would not be great for light sleepers.”
