“I would recommend Royds Cat Hotel without hesitation. Our cat Annie, is nervous in new surroundings and previously didn’t do well when left at another cattery; lost weight and continued to eat poorly even when she returned home. After her stay at Royds it is obvious that she was well looked after! Even the standard rooms are very spacious and clean. The owners are lovely and it is obvious they love cats. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Annie here again, just make sure you book early because they are often full!!”

“Our cats spent 13 nights in the hotel, they came back to us relaxed and calm. Professional and high standard care. Thanks to the fantastic conditions and care, we were able to spend our holidays peacefully without worrying about our fur babies, and Figa and Wafel spent a lovely time. “Amazing service, we went away for 10 days to Italy and knew our dogs would be looked after perfectly. We were kept updated by Lucy while away with messages/photos of our dogs and they looked like they were having a great time. She took them on daily walks and to dog parks off their own back. When coming home our house was left clean and in order which is great when coming back from a long holiday. Would highly recommend their service and will be using them again for sure.”

Oscar is a funny one who doesn't like a lot of people but he loves both Sylvia and her husband and rushes up to say hi to them as soon as he sees them :-) Highly recommended, don't look anywhere else.”

“Brilliant place. Dogs are very well looked after. My dog is happy to come here for her little holiday. Staff are brilliant and follow your routine as much as they can. They also do brushing and grooming and extra dog walks. Would highly recommend to all pet owners”

“Excellent location with parking. The room was very stylish ,clean and comfortable. The best thing was the healthy breakfast which made us feel rejuvenated. “We stayed at St. George's guesthouse for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The room was nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. The host was very helpful and approachable, and there was plenty of on-site parking available. The guesthouse is a straight 30-minute walk to the city centre, so an ideal place for visitors to York who want a quiet place to stay. We will be sure to visit this guesthouse again.”

The reception staff were friendly and very helpful with directions around York and to the Barbican (where we were attending a concert). The hotel was very comfortable, clean and tidy. Our twin room was lovely. And it was only a short walk to the train station which we discovered on our way back (a shortcut shown to us by one of Hedley House team!). We would highly recommend this hotel.”

“We’ve been using Noah’s Ark for the last 2.5 years. We found them after our nervous lurcher x Lakeland Paddy didn’t get on with home boarding. They managed to get our dogs in at short notice and saved our holiday. Since then we have used Noah’s Ark for every holiday. Sam and the team really understand both of our dogs, Paddy (nervous by nature) is now really comfortable around them and settles well. They have built a really positive relationship up both of ours. They send pictures and updates about how they are getting on. Thank you Sam and team for being so wonderful, Paddy and Mabel love you all!”

“We got married at Wentbridge in August, and we honestly couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were struck not only by the beauty of the country house itself, with its charming character and stunning gardens, but also by the exceptional service delivered by every member of the team. The staff truly provide a 5-star experience. They were professional, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. Many of our guests even went out of their way to tell us how wonderful the staff were on the day. As a same-sex couple, one of the biggest reasons we chose Wentbridge was because we were treated with complete warmth and equality from the very start. We always felt valued, respected, and celebrated, never “different”, and that meant the world to us. The food was another major highlight. There were plenty of options and the team were so flexible in tailoring everything to what we wanted. We chose afternoon tea for our wedding breakfast, and it went down brilliantly with our guests, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. A real luxury touch! Wentbridge is a perfect all rounder wedding venue. With family travelling from all over, having plenty of rooms on-site was ideal, and the variety of spaces throughout the hotel created a natural, enjoyable flow to the day. We were able to make the most of both the indoor and outdoor areas, giving us the best of both worlds. A special thank you to Chloe, Ellie, and Karen, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their support made the whole experience feel seamless. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more, and Wentbridge House played a huge part in that. We’re so grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a truly exceptional place to celebrate their big day.”

“Lacey just had a week at chaiquinta pet hotel. She always loves it there the staff post photos which is always nice to see whilst we on holiday. This time we booked a groom for Lacey too she loves been pampered and the groomer is excellent . The staff are caring and we feel very happy at leaving Lacey knowing she will be very well cared for.”

“These kennels provide a loving , caring and personal service I wouldn’t leave my 2 old terriers anywhere else . 2 weeks was the longest I left them and the dogs returned, happy clean and well cared for . They really put my mind at rest and my anxiety of leaving the dogs to go on holiday has greatly reduced to the point I am looking at another 2 week break which is something I have not been able to do for years! “I luxuriated in the Sparkle spa experience which included pool, sauna & steam room, massage and lunch. It was one of the most blissful experiences I've had in ages and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff were so kind and made me feel thoroughly spoiled and the lunch was delicious, with complimentary bubbly. Special shout out to Ellie, the massage therapist, who was incredible - excellent, deep massage given with such a gentle and caring manner, I felt in the best possible hands. It was quite healing. “We had our small post wedding celebration here in The Courtyard. We stayed the night before and the evening of our wedding. The entire staff, from Event management as my first contact, to reception staff and the breakfast greeting was superb. However, a very special mention must go to Yontshi, who made sure we enjoyed our tasting menu the night before and took charge of our reception on the Saturday.
