“My sister and I really enjoyed our one night stay at the Hedley House Hotel. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful with directions around York and to the Barbican (where we were attending a concert). The hotel was very comfortable, clean and tidy. Our twin room was lovely. And it was only a short walk to the train station which we discovered on our way back (a shortcut shown to us by one of Hedley House team!). We would highly recommend this hotel.”

“We’ve been using Noah’s Ark for the last 2.5 years. We found them after our nervous lurcher x Lakeland Paddy didn’t get on with home boarding. They managed to get our dogs in at short notice and saved our holiday. Since then we have used Noah’s Ark for every holiday. Sam and the team really understand both of our dogs, Paddy (nervous by nature) is now really comfortable around them and settles well. They have built a really positive relationship up both of ours. “We stayed at St. George's guesthouse for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The room was nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. The host was very helpful and approachable, and there was plenty of on-site parking available. The guesthouse is a straight 30-minute walk to the city centre, so an ideal place for visitors to York who want a quiet place to stay. We will be sure to visit this guesthouse again.”

From the moment we arrived, we were struck not only by the beauty of the country house itself, with its charming character and stunning gardens, but also by the exceptional service delivered by every member of the team. Many of our guests even went out of their way to tell us how wonderful the staff were on the day. As a same-sex couple, one of the biggest reasons we chose Wentbridge was because we were treated with complete warmth and equality from the very start. We always felt valued, respected, and celebrated, never “different”, and that meant the world to us. The food was another major highlight. There were plenty of options and the team were so flexible in tailoring everything to what we wanted. We chose afternoon tea for our wedding breakfast, and it went down brilliantly with our guests, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. A real luxury touch! Wentbridge is a perfect all rounder wedding venue. With family travelling from all over, having plenty of rooms on-site was ideal, and the variety of spaces throughout the hotel created a natural, enjoyable flow to the day. We were able to make the most of both the indoor and outdoor areas, giving us the best of both worlds. A special thank you to Chloe, Ellie, and Karen, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their support made the whole experience feel seamless. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more, and Wentbridge House played a huge part in that. “Lacey just had a week at chaiquinta pet hotel. She always loves it there the staff post photos which is always nice to see whilst we on holiday. This time we booked a groom for Lacey too she loves been pampered and the groomer is excellent . “These kennels provide a loving , caring and personal service I wouldn’t leave my 2 old terriers anywhere else . 2 weeks was the longest I left them and the dogs returned, happy clean and well cared for . They really put my mind at rest and my anxiety of leaving the dogs to go on holiday has greatly reduced to the point I am looking at another 2 week break which is something I have not been able to do for years! “Came to the hotel for lunch. The steak and chips were superb. They catered for my friend who is a coeliac as my friend described. I had the mushroom soup and the pork scratchings with homemade apple sauce, both were perfect. The staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly. Although it was my first visit they made it feel like I was a regular with there warmth. If I lived local I would come here often.”

“We had our small post wedding celebration here in The Courtyard. We stayed the night before and the evening of our wedding. The entire staff, from Event management as my first contact, to reception staff and the breakfast greeting was superb. However, a very special mention must go to Yontshi, who made sure we enjoyed our tasting menu the night before and took charge of our reception on the Saturday. “Another great stay at The West Park. Great service, friendly staff and lovely food. The penthouse suite is a must if you fancy a romantic weekend away or just to live it up for a few days. Two en-suites, dressing room, very large bedroom and lovely living room area. The food was excellent as was the head of house team colleague Borus. I have stayed at The West Park on a few occasions now and various other hotels in Harrogate and I can honestly say this is by far the best hotel in Harrogate.”
