“Fantastic team. We have a Romanian rescue and he wouldn’t be the dog he is today without the amazing staff at Rose Cottage. And when I thought they couldn’t get any better, I arrived one day with the dog having vomitted on the way to day care - they took his blanket, washed and dried it and returned it to me on collection. 5 stars is not enough. They just go above and beyond.”

We were looked after by Katie who was brilliant - attentive, friendly and helpful. I hadn't visited the Psalter since it was taken over a couple of years ago. I'd really recommend it for bottomless brunch or food, especially the small plates.”

“We only popped in, we weren't overnight guests, but this is a lovely little pub that really is the heart of the local community in this rural area. There are lots of walks around, and beautiful views across the nearby reservoirs. Still close enough for a drive into Sheffield centre, Meadowhall or further into the Peak District if you want. The wasailing (Carol singing) is very traditional and of a high standard too. It's lovely to hear, and some of the carols are very old and individual to the area... interesting!”

“I had a lovely dinner here this evening. The food was really tasty. The staff were attentive and friendly. Especially, Joey, he made us feel welcome and were always there when we needed something. “I booked the spa and overnight stay for our 20th wedding anniversary. The spa was wonderful so relaxing and the staff were amazing even preparing us a surprise dessert after our wonderful lunch. The hotel is a beautiful place, our room was perfect. A lot of work has gone into this place to achieve its grandeur. We spent a lovely evening in the bar/restaurant and the food didn’t disappoint and the service was excellent. “Stayed at HEX on a coach trip from Cornwall. This is a fantastic hotel the concept of the hotel is fantastic. Rooms modern very clean well equipped. A separate resutrant and bar fantastic to be seperate from rooms. Great to have wildlife park on the complex no travelling. Also a complex of shops places to eat and coffee shops. The staff are wonderful so friendly can't do enough for you it's all the extra care to detail to make your stay great I have stayed in a lot of hotels Hex is first class. Highly recommended.
