“What a superb place! Everything about it is wonderful. I had a lovely welcome gift on arrival, my dog particularly enjoyed his treats. The huge, secure garden was wonderful! . The Stable was so beautiful, everything you could possibly need was in there. Hilary and Mark were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others.”

“We arrived here after a long walk in the heat. The lady behind the bar was friendly, accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The views were beautiful and shandy refreshing. We were so impressed we collected our car and returned for lunch and were not disappointed. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Thank you so much. “We only popped in, we weren't overnight guests, but this is a lovely little pub that really is the heart of the local community in this rural area. There are lots of walks around, and beautiful views across the nearby reservoirs. Still close enough for a drive into Sheffield centre, Meadowhall or further into the Peak District if you want. The wasailing (Carol singing) is very traditional and of a high standard too. It's lovely to hear, and some of the carols are very old and individual to the area... interesting!”

“Amazing 90 minute bottomless brunch. The food was delicious, great quality, beautifully cooked and presented. Great selection of cocktails. £38 was good value for the level of quality and service. We were looked after by Katie who was brilliant - attentive, friendly and helpful. I hadn't visited the Psalter since it was taken over a couple of years ago. I'd really recommend it for bottomless brunch or food, especially the small plates.”

“Stayed at HEX on a coach trip from Cornwall. This is a fantastic hotel the concept of the hotel is fantastic. Rooms modern very clean well equipped. A separate resutrant and bar fantastic to be seperate from rooms. Great to have wildlife park on the complex no travelling. Also a complex of shops places to eat and coffee shops. The staff are wonderful so friendly can't do enough for you it's all the extra care to detail to make your stay great I have stayed in a lot of hotels Hex is first class. Highly recommended. Thanks to all staff see you again.”

“We organised a group booking for our Curry Club at The Station Hotel, Parkgate. What an amazing night. The quality of the food was exceptional, fantastic value for money and lots of variety. “I booked the spa and overnight stay for our 20th wedding anniversary. The spa was wonderful so relaxing and the staff were amazing even preparing us a surprise dessert after our wonderful lunch. The hotel is a beautiful place, our room was perfect. A lot of work has gone into this place to achieve its grandeur. We spent a lovely evening in the bar/restaurant and the food didn’t disappoint and the service was excellent. Thank you all at ye olde bell and spa for helping make our 20 anniversary one to remember.”

“Called in to Forest Lodge about 4-15 on Sat 1st Nov for drinks and food.Was served by Scarlett in what was a very busy pub with people watching sport.She seemed to be working the bar on her own but was very efficient and polite.Great to see a young lady doing a fantastic job in a busy environment with a smile on her face.5 stars from us”

“We had a great stay at the Ibis Budget. For a budget hotel, the rooms were great, with good bathrooms. Lovely bar area. Good food and drink. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Good location for everything we wanted to do. The Moor car park is a little bit of a walk with luggage but we brought the car to the back of the hotel which made it easy. Thanks to all the team.”

“A hidden gem. Every member of staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were pristine with snow white bedding and bathrobes. The bathroom was very spacious with a large shower. We had dinner and the meals we had were very large and tasty. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it .”

But it’s the staff who make it such a great place to stay, always happy to help, to provide great service and always with a smile. It’s a great team. I would however agree with one of the comments that the breakfast is overpriced. But overall I would highly recommend it.”

“I have been staying with the pastures hotel for around 2/3 year through work purpose. I have to travel around 2/3 hours sometimes to get there, The staff are nothing but warm and friendly, they are always happy to help and super approachable. The rooms are always made up lovely, I have been fortunate to stay in a few of the suites, last one being the bridal suite which was absolutely amazing. Sometimes I can be there for a few weeks at a time, I have always felt the staff were very hospitable which is reassuring when you’re away for a while in an area you’re not totally familiar with. I’d like to mention that Sharon and Michelle in particular are a credit to the hotel and have always been super welcoming!”
