βI stayed at Underleigh recently in the Townhead Garden Suite and would definitely recommend it to others! The suite was very big, had a large bed, bathroom and lounge, with access to the garden. Vivienne was great too, providing local recommendations plus a slap up breakfast to start your day! Will 100% be back!β
βWe spent a fantastic week in the Cowshed which was immaculately clean. The welcome pack was a nice touch and much appreciated. A stunning location with great walks for us and our dog from the front door but also very easy to get to other places. We will be back.β

βWe had the best stay at Hoe Grange Holidays, the owners were so incredibly welcoming. They kindly showed us around as well as letting us walk their horses and feed their baby cow Ruby, was a very special experience. They provided us with maps of the area and recommended some lovely places to visit, made exploring all the more easier. The cabin itself was The cabin itself was spotless, accessible, and really cosy, everything we could have hoped for. We absolutely loved our time there and will definitely be going back!β
βWe chose Heathy Lea as our wedding venue this year and we are so pleased we did so. The location is brilliant and views amazing. Since we first looked around, the team have been so so hospitable and helpful through the whole planning process and helped contribute to a fantastic celebration for the family. We used the accommodation which was perfect and all the guests had a brilliant long weekend exploring the greenery and fresh air. Weβd highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area for a break or hosting an event.β
βStayed two years running now, bike trip to Donington super bikes. Lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms, owners really lovely people, secure parking as it's right out of the way. Very steep hill if you're not a confident driver be awareβ
βOne superb site. Well layed out. Good spacious hard standing pitches. Extremely clean facilities and to top it all off a well kept games room and a decent Drying room. Plus a coffee and Pizza van here on Fri and sat morning (for warm croissants and coffee) with a mobile Fish and chip van on Saturday night. Great work from the site teamβ
βLoved our stay here. The house is beautiful and so unique, loved the decor. We stayed in the superior king room. The owners are lovely and their dogs are very well behaved and friendly. Breakfast was nice too. There's a town within walking distance to go out for food and drinks. If we're ever back in Mansfield we'd definitely stay here again.β
βI booked a solo dining experience on the kitchen bench at the end of August. This was my first foray into fine dining and I was not disappointed. From the moment I was greeted at the door, I was made to feel incredibly welcome. The taster menu and whole kitchen bench experience was just wonderful. It was more relaxed than I was expecting which suited me perfectly! The food was exceptional - I was presented with a wide range of dishes which gave me the opportunity to try things that I hadn't before and I enjoyed every moment. Whilst the food itself was wonderful, it was the restaurant and kitchen staff that really took my visit to another level. Everyone was very warm and friendly, not to mention attentive. I was looked after incredibly well, especially by John's team in the kitchen. Thank you for such a fantastic experience and I definitely plan to return.β
βI stayed here for 1 night on a business trip and was not disappointed. The owners, Richard and Kerry are outstanding and cant do enough for you. The room I was in was very large, had a comfy bed, sitting table, living area and great shower room. There was fresh bread, milk and fruit in the room which made it so easy for breakfast in the morning. The only disappointment I had was not getting there earlier for a good look around :-). Highly recommended!β
βAlhamdulilah had a very blessed umrah journey with uncle Asif. Fantastic service, uncle answered all our questions, guided us during umrah, shared his Islamic knowledge and gave us the best advice. Thank you and May Allah accept itβ¦Ameenβ

βStopped one night on the 19/02/24, can't fault anything, from a very warm friendly welcome from Paul, then showing us our beautiful and modern room, explaining everything, lovely meal in the town, a very peaceful night's sleep. Beautiful breakfast served by our host's Paul and Sophie, we will without a doubt definitely be back. Tim (superman slipper guy) and Jayne xβ
βWe loved our stay here! The lady Laura was fantastic as we arrived slightly late as the walk we were on took longer than anticipated, when we rang she told us not to panic and she'd let us in still, and to travel safely which was lovely. The pod was very clean and tidy on arrival, mugs and hot drinks on a little table. The bed was very comfy and there was heating in the pod which made it warm and cosy. I just wished we could have stayed longer here! We will be back!!!β

Helen was an amazing host, very generous, friendly, chatty, kind, hospitable, attentive etc. The beds were extremely comfortable, large and warm too. Beautiful, spacious rooms with excellent decor too. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing, exceptional too. Cannot recommend this place enough. Immense value for money too. Thank you very much. They even had a welcome pack for our doggie ,towel, blanket, bed and poop bags just in case . I rate this 14 out of 10 and we will definitely be going back .β
βWe have just returned home from a lovely 2 night stay at Slate House Farm. We loved it. Itβs well situated with plenty of pubs and restaurants locally. The pods are clean and have everything you need. A nice touch was the addition of marshmallows so we could toast them in the fire pit. The views are amazing and the owners couldnβt do enough whilst still not being intrusive. We will definitely be coming backβ
βDarwin forest lodges is a brilliant self catering lodges. The Lodge had everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean. They is a swimming pool, soft play area. Golf, spa, pool table, restaurant. The staff are very friendly and if you need help with anything they well help you. They is some lovely walks which is easy for small children. I would very highly recommend it.β
βWe stopped for dinner at The Bull last night with my elderly and terminally ill greyhound Howard. I told the waitress about Howard and asked if they could bring us a plain sausage for him, fully expecting to pay for this. He loved the sausage. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the pub quiz in a very relaxed and welcoming environment. At the end of the night I paid the bill and realised they had not charged me for the sausage. This was a lovely caring touch to end what would be Howardβs last night with us. I would personally like to say thank you to the personnel at The Bull for everything. We will definitely be back.β
βWe absolutely loved our short break at Losehill! The view alone was enough to rate this place highly, but the service we received from check-in to check-out, the exceptional facilities, and the delicious menu made it outstanding. It was such a luxurious experience, it was just difficult to balance time relaxing at the hotel with all the beautiful nature and villages to explore in the area! We hope to come back soon.β
βWe stayed at Cheshire Mews as a group of Mountain bikers, exploring the local area, the rooms were clean, modern and well kept. There was plenty of space & good parking. It was ideally situated for a selection of great pubs serving food & drink.β
βAbsolute VIP material, great layout, separate games room, jacuzzi and heat room. Once you have sampled this type of accommodation that's it you're hooked.β
βMy second stay at The Hut and it's been just as perfect and relaxing as my first stay. Beautiful location, cosy and warm in the hut with everything you could need for a break away from it all. Will definitely stay again one day, thank you so much for everything Rachel β€οΈβ
βGreat place to stay, will be returning & using as a base for a few cities. Nothing to much trouble, allowed us to change menu to suit us, breakfast was brilliant. Being non chain they've gone for quality with service, food & rooms. Yes they could save money on quality but it's all about returning customers these days. Over the past few days we've stayed at 7 hotels & pubs, only 2 have been put on our list to return to, this is 1.β
βEveryone at this agency has been fantastic. From the very start going through the application with me and affording every opportunity to secure the tenancy. When I arrived at the home, the fence panel had come out from the wind fixed almost immediately little while later needed help with the boiler so quick to respond. For the first time taking on a tenancy myself, I couldnβt have asked for better supportβ
βDelightful - i was so surprised how lovely this wee space was when I arrived. Beautifully appointed - attention to detail everywhere - bedroom was lovely and the cooking - sitting area was a surprise and perfect. Can't imagine why I'd ever stay in a hotel again with this available. Recommended. I didn't eat at the nearby restaurant but two of the other guests did and said it was excellent. John - Dunkeld, Scotland.β
βJarvis Student Properties has been collectively our best landlord/renting experience yet. Weβve felt so looked after and never been made to feel like an inconvenience. They were always available to communicate with if needed. I would recommend renting to anybody :) Thank you Andrew and Josh!β
βIt's a quiet site on the edge of Misterton. The wardens Mags and Phil are welcoming and helpful as are the owners Chris and Phil. We've been coming here now for the best part of 3 years with our touring caravan as it's only a 30 min drive away for us and a break from town life. We love the quietness, the cycling and the area for a walk as (it's close to a river/canal). On site the pitches are all numbered and generous in size and we feel appropriately priced considering that families and awnings/ehu are included. If you don't want ehu a reduction in price is given. The summer visitors of Swallows can be watched dipping and diving around the site in and out of the barn. There's a play area with a field for kids as long they are supervised. Wildlife is noticeable we've seen Kestrels, Swallows, Robins, Terns, Common Buzzards. Close by within a 10 min walk is a great chippy, chinese takeaway, pizza place. A shop and butchers aswell a 2 pubs a short walk away if you want to eat out. We've had a nice quiet few long weekends over the past 3 weeks, and enjoyed every minute.β
