What an amazing find! We stayed in the Shepherds Hut. It was clean, cosy and perfect for the Autumn/ Winter season. We received a welcome pack of essentials and the hosts were fantastic with their communication, even after we had left! Car parking was close and easy for unloading. Our 3 year old loved it and is still asking to go back to 'our cosy cabin'. We had a lovely walk into Chatsworth too - it was very picturesque! 100% recommend!

Me and my daughter stayed at Woodlands for 2 nights. The huts are so beautifully decorated. I love the design. It was peaceful. Great views. Would come again. One small suggestion would be to have a microwave.

A 5 star review isn’t sufficient to describe how perfect Heathy Lea is as wedding venue. We instantly fell in love with the venue and the endless possibility it gave us to create our perfect wedding - and it did just that. Within 5 minutes of visiting I knew it was the one and also within 5 minutes, Sally and James, the owners, felt like old friends. We were able to make the weekend totally our own. We hosted a close family dinner on the Friday night, transformed the venue into a magical wedding venue on the Saturday and continued our celebrations on the Sunday. I can’t describe it better than Sally did on Instagram so please look at their page but we felt like the place was our own all weekend and nothing was too much. Every question and ask was met with a “yes of course”. The setting speaks for itself and our guests loved the cottages and shepherds huts. Waking up in the beautiful surroundings and walking over to Chatsworth in the moments of calm over the weekend. I will never be able to put into words the magic of this place or just how wonderful Sally and James are as hosts but I know we could not have created such a perfect weekend anywhere else or without them. To anyone considering Heathy Lea for a wedding venue or just a visit - just do it and share in its magic. Xx

We stayed in Stag for a few days and enjoyed it very much. A cosy Shepherds Hut with great views in a fantastic landscape. Nice walk to Chatsworth House through the park with deer sightings. Even without a car you can manage the walks to the supermarket and pubs in Baslow, there is a bus service to Pilsley and the Chatsworth farm shop. With Sally’s friendly and helpful support via text message we felt very welcome. Everything was as described, very clean, cosy and the hut was comfortable and had everything we needed even for cooking. We can also recommend the flexible tickets to Chatsworth House and Garden that provide unlimited access throughout your stay in Heavy Lea as we went more than once to see it all.

We chose Heathy Lea as our wedding venue this year and we are so pleased we did so. The location is brilliant and views amazing. Since we first looked around, the team have been so so hospitable and helpful through the whole planning process and helped contribute to a fantastic celebration for the family. We used the accommodation which was perfect and all the guests had a brilliant long weekend exploring the greenery and fresh air. We’d highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area for a break or hosting an event.

This was a charming and quaint bed and breakfast. We stayed in Room 1 for one night as we wanted to visit Chatsworth House & Gardens the following day. Our room was cozy and comfortable. The location of this b&b was incredible, only a 25 minute walk through Chatsworth Park to get to the main attractions. The walk / park is beautiful, and there was a sense of peace staying here. The breakfast was lovely, the hosts were accommodating (letting us leave our bags for longer). I would 100% come back and stay for longer.

We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception at Heathy Lea in May. It's the absolute perfect venue - beautiful views, space for our closest family to stay and enjoy the full weekend with us and the ideal blank canvas for us to bring our wedding vision to life. Sally and James were amazing hosts throughout the weekend, but especially on our big day they were superstars. They made sure everything ran smoothly, were gracious and kind to our guests and it was so reassuring to know we could trust them to deal with any last minute hiccups. We weren't around for it, but we were reliably informed that they managed the 'end of the night' brilliantly; helping guests get taxis and find their way home safely. We've been left with the best memories, gorgeous photos and rave reviews from family and friends. We can't wait to come back and stay soon!

We have stayed at Heathy Lea twice now. The accommodation is clean and spacious, in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Sally, James & team can't do enough to help - something which we really appreciated during our wedding weekend. It is a stunning, unique wedding venue which offers the opportunity to tailor the day and make it really special. Would recommend to anyone for a few nights away in the Peak District or a wedding!

We have recently got married at this amazing hidden gem, tucked away in the gorgeous Peak District. Sally and James could not do enough for us, not once did I feel like a customer this weekend, they made us so welcome it was like we were part of the family. The rooms are stunning, the breakfasts amazing and the views are out of this world. I can’t recommend this place enough, if it’s a night away, or a wedding you’re after, you will not be disappointed. Thanks again Sally and James and all of the Heathy lea team, you are amazing!! See you soon Love Tim & Maz Rogers

Wonderful place! Charming, lovingly furnished rooms. Super comfortable bed. Awesome breakfast!!! Great service! The views over the estate are cool. Secure parking, easy check-in via lockbox. I'll definitely stay here again when visiting the peak district. Just watch out when driving as you may accidentally miss the driveway if you follow Google.
