Pet friendly hotel in Reading

“Booked our rooms for a wedding party a few months ago online and was made aware that we could pre book our rooms a couple of days before so all the family did that... We arrived on Friday afternoon and there was a little mix up with the rooms as it was quite important that we were close to my parents for medical reasons and thankfully we had fantastic service from Simona who resolved it at first touch, after explaining our circumstances. Rooms were clean, fridge, tea coffee and two bottles of water, iron in the room as well. Pillows were absolutely amazing had the best sleep in ages and the beds and duvets were so comfortable. Staff in the morning for breakfast were also very pleasant and helpful. Great selection of breakfast will definitely stay at the Hilton again. Thank you Simona for your help.”

“Our Heidi loves going to see her friends at Bertie & Friends. Everytime i take her, she can't wait to get to the door, tail wagging and bum wiggling. Emma and Martin are amazing - so kind, caring and loving with her and all the dogs. Their place is a home from home, a lovely set up for pooches. I can't recommend enough! “I stayed at the Village Hotel Bracknell for a few days and was genuinely surprised by how much I liked it. The room was spotless, modern, and felt warm rather than sterile like many chain hotels. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had that perfect water pressure you always hope for but rarely get. The staff were one of the best parts — everyone I interacted with was genuinely friendly and helpful, not just polite because they had to be. Check-in was fast, and it felt like they actually cared about making things easy for guests. The bar and restaurant had a great atmosphere in the evening, and the food was really good. Breakfast the next morning was fresh, well stocked, and the coffee was surprisingly great. I also used the gym and pool — both clean, modern, and clearly well maintained. The location made it easy to get around, especially if you’re driving. It’s close to the motorway, has plenty of parking, and isn’t far from places like Windsor or Ascot. Overall, it’s one of those hotels where everything just works the way it should. Comfortable, friendly, and stress-free — I’d definitely stay again. Celine very nice and kind❤️”

“Great stay for a little escape from the busy London. Had a few meals at the Wild Carrot restaurant, everything was delicious, the dishes were full of flavour ( super recommend the duck breast and fish and chips ) and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef for such creativity and attention to detail. You can really taste the passion in every bite, Chef Tang was amazing!”

“I was blown away! How can they do this for the price? It is not a suite, it's a full on one bedroom apartment and a big one at that. Full kitchen, washer/dryer, everything and directly in the middle of the entertainment district and a quick walk from the train station. I could live there. Oh yeah, and don't forget the over-the-top friendly, helpful and professional staff!”

“Attended a wedding on Sunday 14th December. Darren was our server. He was very polite, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and everything was fine. Was more than happy to answer any questions we had. He is a credit to Audrey's wood. A great member of staff you have.”

“We had a function in the pub and it was a great experience. We had a dedicated function room separated from the main pub. The atmosphere both in the pub and in the function room are really lovely and the fireplaces give just the perfect place for a cosy dinner. Food was truly amazing. Great portions and quality food from the appetisers throughout the meal. Tagliatelle were cooked to perfection and the sea bass with the lemon sauce was mouthwatering. All through the meal, the sauces were just amazing. All the staff was really friendly and we had a great night out.”

“One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in for some time. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff is one of the outstanding qualities of his hotel. The breakfast is on par with most Michelin star restaurants. We stayed in a suite in the House Building. Quality of the furnishings, the style and the cleanliness were exceptional. . Everything was chic but luxurious . I am now looking for reasons to return to Reading so I can stay here again .”

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. A special thank you to Zara at reception — she was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and professional. “The initial review, submitted on Friday, conveyed dissatisfaction regarding a £75 charge for an early check-in, which was two hours prior to the standard check-in time. It is important to clarify that only one room was booked, not two. Furthermore, our arrival was not at 12:30; however, the primary reason for the negative review was the perceived rudeness of the individual I spoke with over the phone. Moving forward, following my stay at the hotel on Saturday, I was granted both an early check-in and a late check-out, which was greatly appreciated. The staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and hospitality. The hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and offers a diverse selection of culinary options, including a main menu and a breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this establishment and would certainly choose to stay here again. My sincere thanks to the entire team for their accommodating service.”

“One of the best restaurants in Reading I have been to so far. The prices are bit a higher, but well worth the price. Even though we had Christmas there the service was super quick and about 40 people were served under 5 minutes. The food presentation was outstanding, and the food was tasty. Free onsite parking. Having said that it is worth spending time here.”

“We attended the fabulous Winterwonderland Ball in the Marquee. The Alpine bar was such fun, and the food absolutely amazing considering there wer 200 guest. We upgraded our room and it was lovely x Breakfast is the very best produce sausages and bacon outstanding x”

“We arrived at 4. Just found a space as the car park also serves several retail outlets and restaurants. But if had arrived a little later, there wouldn't have been an issue, with ample parking later on. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a bath and shower. There are eateries, including Nandos and Burger king outside, but there were queues outside the door so we opted to eat in. The menu was extensive and catered for everyone. The food was tasty and fresh. Recommend the burgers and chocolate torte”

“Had many a meal at the Wee Waif, but after our most recent visit on 11/08 Jamie looked after our table of 13 diners. As usual no problems with any of the food and drinks, great value as usual. But special thanks to Jamie, Job well done.”

“Lovely hotel and the themed suites are pricy but a novel treat if you want some space with a different ambience. Fantastic breakfast. No parking on site but there is a multistory on the opposite side of reading train station, so it's only a five minute walk. Great location of you want the reading night life.”

“Have stayed a few times. Always very friendly service and clean room. great value for money. Decided to have a bit of a works get together. 12 of us had great food. (it is very good). Happy friendly service. Would recommend the place and somewhere to stay so you can have a drink and enjoy yourselves.”

“My family, friends, and I had a great time. We were staying for a wedding nearby at The Old Mill, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful with everything. The food was fantastic, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Would definitely recommend!”

“Great location in the centre of Reading. The staff are friendly and helpful. The gym is open 24 hours, which is a great bonus. Parking is a little expensive, but that is expected for a hotel in the city centre. You will need to park a 2 to 3 minute walk from the hotel in a very secure car park. Make sure you visit reception first and scan the QR code for 40% off parking, as it is definitely worth the saving. You can also pull up outside the hotel to drop off your bags and scan the code. The rooms show a small amount of wear and tear, but they offer good value for money and I had an excellent night’s sleep. I would happily stay here again. Plus point, the lobby area is very stylish and welcoming for a drink in the evening.”
