Stopped off at the Flower Pot for a pint during a walk around the area. Beautiful old pub, nice outdoor area and friendly staff. Plan on coming back soon to try the food!

Found this place on a long walk from Henley and we diverted as we were starving. Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Lovely the open fire and the marshmallows are a nice touch. Food on the pricey side but good sized portions. Sadly had to knock a star off as there was no vegetarian roast option. In 7 years of being veggie this is the first time this has ever happened to me! Had to settle for the pasta instead which was nice but I had my heart set on a roast!

The Flower Pot is an absolute gem of a pub — effortlessly cool without even trying. The décor strikes that perfect balance between rustic charm and modern edge, with great music that gives the place a proper buzz. The staff are brilliant — friendly, sharp and genuinely seem to love where they work. The food though… that’s where it really stands out. Peking duck in a pub? Yes, and it’s outstanding. Alongside a few other unexpected dishes that feel more high-end restaurant than country inn. Whoever’s in the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing. It’s also mega dog friendly — they welcomed my four-legged mate like royalty. Easily one of the best spots around for great food, good vibes and a proper relaxed atmosphere.

A business lunch turned into a fabulous dinner. Our business colleagues were so enthused by the lunch, they invited their partners to join us for the evening. The location is lovely, the food at lunchtime in the garden was perfect, and dinner in the dinning room was even better. We all came away commenting on a lovely venue with excellent service and superb food. Highly recommended. (by six of us)

We stopped here while walking along the Thames Path from Henley. There is a beautiful garden and we went inside to a lovely log fire. It was quite busy for a Thursday lunchtime. We sat comfortably outside and had a snack with our drinks. Prompt friendly service and most outstanding of all were the chips my husband ordered - crisp on the outside and soft inside - the best chips we've ever tasted!

Stopped here for lunch while on a river kayak trip from Moose down at Bisham Abby. Lovely pub, food selection was really good and service was great. Their grey parrot has a great whistling voice. Highly recommend going to this place.

Stopped here late morning after hiring a canoe and paddling up the Thames from our campsite. It's an old world pub with some real ales and a good selection of food. The service was great and the guys were really friendly. We stayed for lunch which was quick to be served and pretty good value. My only disappointment was that the rabbit pie had a really soft pastry like it had been reheated in a microwave, but it was still tasty and nice to have rabbit as an option. Plenty of space, both indoors and out. We wondered why there were a pile of small door mats by the door until a couple of locals came outside carrying them to put on the picnic bench to sit on. Obviously locals in the know. Saw several having sandwiches and baguettes that looked really good. Recommend as a stop on the river. About 5-10mins walk from the jetty.

A beautiful setting only a short walk from the Thames. Sitting in the garden on a sunny day or warm evening is very popular with families and walkers. Internally there is probably the most extensive collection of stuffed fish from bygone days in the country. It's unique!

Took a walk from Hambledon Lock and discovered this little pub. Full of old world charm I love this sort of old-style country pub. I didn't eat here, just enjoyed a couple of beers in their expansive beer garden. Will definitely make an effort to get back here again as it was a very enjoyable couple of hours spent in. The afternoon sun.

Lovely place. Nice and friendly staff. Lovely walk to pub, decent size outdoor area. No play area unfortunately but we've had no complaints when we've brought a bat and ball to play with the kids
