βFirst time having a carvery here and it was from a recommendation from my mum, who doesnβt usually like carveryβs. This was the best carvery weβve ever had. Great choice and really generous portions of meat. Friendly staff, good service and lovely atmosphere generally. Will definitely be backβ
βNineteen years ago, we held our wedding reception here, so returned on our anniversary for the night. The Inn has been updated sympathetically, and really enhanced. The room was quirky and well appointed, and the staff couldn't have been any better. Utterly friendly and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. Supper was delicious, the chap making the cocktails was a delight, and breakfast was spot-on. We won't be leaving it nineteen years till the next visit.β
βHad a flyer through my door with great photo's of their Thai food, so I thought I would try them. I thought my Thai Green curry was pretty good but after having one from their menu I was amazed ! it was stunning, so good I went back the following week and then also with the girlfriend and then the following weekend with 2 friends, we were all very very impressed with the superb menu stunning food and great service, give them a try you will not be disappointed. βIβve been here twice now and the staff are really friendly and clearly a strong team. I had the truffle burger and chips option in the meal deal with the room and it was gorgeous. The burger was cooked just right, the chips crisp and fluffy, the mushroom done just right so it wasnβt leaking juice everywhere. Staff were attentive and genuinely seemed to take pride in the service they offered.β
βWhat a great find , quaint , charming in a beautiful setting , the room was modern with a studio style and the bathroom was wonderful ! We had breakfast on both days which was really cooked well and very good from a budget perspective . I would just like to say a special thank you to Peter the general manager for being a great host , and super helpful . The hotel is in a beautiful village with 3 great pubs , all in walking distance . " We shall be back " Steve and Dawnβ
βFound Ashbrook apartments after a search for a weekend hideaway in a wider area. Could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The village of Blewbury is absolutely idyllic and most probably a well kept secret by its inhabitants. The apartments form part of an old barn conversion and have been created very well. The forecourt/parking area is off the main road and the apartments are consequently quiet and secluded. Everything inside was clean and well thought out and the arrangements for the booking and communication could not have been better. Will definitely return when next in the area.β
βA fantastic place to stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming when we arrived. Had a quick drink whilst waiting for the room (we were early). Great selection of drinks on tap and in bottle. The room was clean and stocked with great facilities (coffee machine, TV, kettle etc etc). We went for a Sunday Roast that night. Although at 1st glance, it may seem expensive, for what you get it is very good value. Truly a huge meal with clearly high quality ingredients (how can you not love roast beef that are basically just 3 very good sized sirloin steaks). The continental breakfast was a lovely treat, showing up in a hamper. A perfect start to the day. There is lots of places nearby to see (we visited Henley-on-Thames and Hambledon Lock). Although the pub is not open Mon/Tues, the staff were more than happy to provide us with recommendations locally to eat. Very highly recommend and look forward to visiting in the future.β
βVery nice. Took about 45 minutes for my food to come out but friends came within 10 minutes. But tasted lovelyβ
βReally great experience.... Loved the food. I never knew I would like boiled baby potatoes like I did. Either I was very, very hungry or the food was just so very good! I am sure it is the latter as my wife confirmed her burger and sweet potato chips were the bomb too! Never knew we would find such a great meal in a place that was totally unknown to us until just a few weeks ago when we were invited to a birthday party in Marlow. Really highly recommend this pub/restaurant.β
βHad Sunday lunch at this attractive inn , great service and atmosphere. The roast beef was amazing and lovely veg. One of us had the Nut roast which was delicious. Good size portions. Would really recommend!β
βWe had a lovely night stay at this lovely hotel. The drive up to the house through the arch way of trees was beautiful. The gardens and views are perfect. The price was fantastic for staying in such a beautiful old historic building. The gardens are wonderful for a stroll after breakfast and thereβs a lovely old church In the grounds. It was quiet and peaceful. Food was good and plentiful. My only negative was the room where breakfast was served was very corporate and wished it could have been in the restaurant we ate in the evening as the views are so beautiful and a shame not to see it in the morning whilst eating our breakfast.β
βMy girlfriend and I loved our stay at The Miller of Manfield, in October. Breakfast was fantastic, the staff were super helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make us comfortable. We loved the room, the retro-modern decor, the fantastic bathtub and the location, in the village. The pub and restaurant were also great places to come in the evening, with live music one night of our stay and a good atmosphere throughout.β
βHighly recommend for private events. Rosie, Claire and team are excellent, highly efficient and organized. They make large parties easy. We've now had two 60-80 ppl events in their private space and have zero complaints.β
β*Restaurant review* Food was absolutely delicious. My partner and I shared the camembert special for a starter which was very well prepared and came with plenty of bread relish, garlic and butter. We had the salmon and the pie of the day for our mains which were both enormous portions which we really appreciated. Very well cooked and seasoned. Shared the chocolate torte for dessert as we were stuffed after the generous portions which was also great quality. Service was timely and polite despite it being very busy. Strong recommendation.β
βWe needed a campsite to stay following our crossing from Europe on route to visit family in wales. We arrived after 5 so the office was closed but the site team called and explained the process for checkin when we arrived. We were allocated a pitch close to the facilities block but due to the low level and the slight incline of the pitch we were unable to use it. We called the pitch and the team quickly answered and moved us. We were so pleased with the service we have booked to return next weekend. Thanks for the excellent service.β
βGreat room, had a breakfast bar area, fridge, nice big shower. Very clean too! - no parking really on the street in front unless it's for like 2/3 hours but there is a rugby club 10 mins walk that let you park for Β£4 per day which is great.β
βThe friendly and welcoming atmosphere at badgemore Park is first class!! The golf course is one of the best I've played as it is constantly maintained. Highly recommend badgemore.β
βThis house /home is a wonderful stay im writing this because of your heart. I can Only thank you for everything you did and didn't have to . For this im indebted all my love jamie Claughton β₯οΈβ
βAbsolutely great little Pub with very well equipped rooms. Food was great especially breakfast. Staff were excellent. Anyone thinking about a place to stay, whilst visiting Bombay Sapphire, should definitely put this place top of the list. Overton is a lovely friendly little village.β
βWe just had our wedding at Bartonβs mill and it was incredible. The staff were amazing and helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and they set up the tables with the decor we provided beautifully. Flo our co ordinator was so lovely and took away our stresses and Chanelle who looked after us in the morning kept us updated and on time with the order of the day. Absolutely worth every penny and a gorgeous venue to hold a wedding.β
βFantastic stay and rooms was so clean. Comfy nights sleep. Highly recommend Gemini Guest Houseβ
βGreat value for money. Rooms super clean, comfy beds, great breakfast (although a little pricey if you're not that hungry - but if you are, then full your boots!). Very friendly team too!β
βOn arrival a beautiful entrance, we stayed in our own campervan so I canβt comment on chalets. We arrived at 18.30 and reception was closed , the gate code allowed us access , and our pitch was easy to find , each pitch is beautifully marked with a very clear number so there is no confusion, on whatβs yours .Site is well maintained, and although there was work in progress, we feel that this can only improve a lovely site with a fantastic lake , walks childrenβs play area pet and cycle friendly.β
βMe and my girlfriend decided we would try out the food in this fine establishment. We bought a drink at the bar then was taken to our seats to order food. It happened to be steak night and our waiter (Luke) was absolutely amazing, with good old British banter but also very professional. I always get a Rib/eye steak, but like recommended something else by like and I was not disappointed at all. My other half got fish and chips which was cooked to perfection, and oh my god the beef dripping chips are to die for! We will 100% be back, and give Luke a raise because he deserves one!!β
βBooked very last minute when we found ourselves in the area. Had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the Thames. It was a very hot day but the hotel had catered for this with a quiet Dyson fan and by ensuring the curtains were closed during the heat of the day. Amazing setting, really lovely food. Especially the breakfast menu. Highly recommend.β
βReally nice hotel rooms. Ideal for a business overnight stay. The 1560 lounge and bar in Mansion House was a nice place to dine and relax. Breakfast in the main building was great too. Highly recommend, would go again. Special thanks to Ellie at reception, great customer service!β
βEvery time we visit has been a very pleasant time. staff have always been polite and friendly and very helpful and food has always been perfect and christmas we have been in last two year now and meals for christmas have been lovely.β
βI'm a regular visitor here for stays with work. Rooms are nicely done out and breakfast bag is sufficient for what I need. Location is great in central Reading. Can be a little noisy from the bar below if you're on a lower floor but it quietens down later on and has not affected my sleep.β
βWhat a place - it understandably attracts a lot of custom and has a real "buzz" about it!! ... stayed one night and had dinner & breakfast. The rooms are "dated" but clean and quite comfortable. The staff are amazing - don't know how Wetherspoons do it. I interacted with five different staff over our stay and they were all polite, helpful and confidently spoken. Extensive menu and food served within 10 minutes of ordering. The service and value for money can not be faulted - I wish Wetherspoons could run the NHS & country! A great location bang in the centre of the charming town of Henley-on-Thames.β
βHad a lovely Sunday roast. Service was excellent. Food was lovely and plenty of it. Nice country pub atmosphere. Also, the nice lady who served us, Amanda, pointed out we could use our Tesco Clubcard vouchers which saved us Β£60 for our table. Result!β
