   We came for New Year’s Eve and it was a great night. We had the set menu for £45 and it was superb! 2 of us paid £10 extra to upgrade to Chateaubriand which was perfectly cooked. Every dish was delicious. Despite being extremely busy the service was good and the food was hot. £45 for 3 courses of delicious food along with a welcome glass of prosecco on NYE represents great value. We had an additional 4 bottles of wine and our bill was £400 for 5 people. This has been our local village pub since we moved here in 1991 and so glad to see the pub offering quality, value and doing well!

   Visited the pub for an early dinner with my Grandchildren. The main meals were a bit pricey, ham egg and chips at £16.95 but kids meals were £1 each course from 5pm to 7pm and a good size portion. Service was a bit slow with a delay on one meal but it was busy with Christmas parties. Food was lovely. I would go again and recommend.

   Had Sunday lunch at this attractive inn , great service and atmosphere. The roast beef was amazing and lovely veg. One of us had the Nut roast which was delicious. Good size portions. Would really recommend!

   Great pub, brilliant service, lovely outdoor area, dog friendly. Terriaki Chicken superb - loads of chicken with sauce and red chilli's plus Spring onion for about £6.50 - great value. However I would not recommend the Hanging chicken skewer at £20 as you only get 4 measly pieces of chicken thigh which take up about 25% of the 12" skewer, rest taken up by thick slices of courgette, onions and red pepper. One of the tiny chicken pieces included the end gristle. It was terrible value. There were more chicken breast pieces in the starter than this over priced skewer!

   As with any of our travels ‘dog friendly’ is a absolute must, the Bunk Inn possibly being the most dog friendly place we’ve ever stayed at. From the dog menu and ample water stations to the dog beds for your room on offer. We ate last evening and had breakfast this morning both meals being fresh, well presented and very tasty (recommend the salmon and eggs for brekkie). Service was on point for both myself and my dog. Rebecca, Pete and their team were all both welcoming and hospitable. We were shown to our room which was equipped with just about everything you need for a stay away from home. Smart tv, dab radio, coffee machine, fridge, local info, fan, usb sockets and a comfortable bed. Using the map downloaded from the pubs website we discovered a great 1hr circular walk from the pub through horse meadows and woods seeing ample deers, squirrels and rabbits. The sign on the arch above the front door reads ‘A pub with rooms’, and thats exactly what it is, but as we discovered it comes with its own charm and quaintness that you won’t find at many ‘hotels’. Did i mention its dog friendly?

   Lovely country pub. We were in for a family dinner on a Saturday night. Easy to book online, great menu and well looked after with dietary requirements catered for. Food was great, service with a smile and good selection of beers. Would definitely recommend

   Stayed here recently for 2 nights whilst visiting our son who lives about 6 miles away from the inn. Great room, every comfort included, dog friendly too. We didn't book for bed and breakfast but decided to have it on our first morning. We found the cost quite high and we weren't sure if you could just have just some eggs on toast for example, so a little disappointed it wasn't a more flexible and reasonably priced menu. All the staff were incredibly friendly throughout our stay and would recommend friends to stay here when in the area.

   They had really overbooked on the 27th of December and couldn't handle the numbers. We had pre-ordered food, it took 2 hours to arrive and the order was wrong. Children's pasta was so spicy it wasn't edible. The menu didn't mention allergies and nobody asked about them, my son with an egg allergy couldn't eat the burger as it had a brioche bun. So not great...

   We are local & only went for Sunday lunch, 4 adults & 2 very young children. This was a disaster. We arrived at 12, we were seated in the conservatory which was extremely cold with one little faulty plug in heater which was eventually taken away. Our food finally came at 1.15 very small portions, one large carrot which was uncooked. So disappointed didn’t stay for dessert. We can only assume the kitchen was understaffed for the numbers they had booked in.
