This was our second visit here. While we were largely satisfied after our first stay about 2.5 years ago, everything felt different this time around. The room (#6) was larger than last time, but unfortunately, it lacked a foyer. The room door itself was made of glass, and there was a path light about 1.25m away that stayed on all night. Despite the 'curtain,' it illuminated the entire room. Additionally, the neon green displays on the radiators were incredibly distracting and further brightened the room at night. The breakfast had also changed significantly, which we confirmed by comparing photos from our previous visit. The portions were smaller, and there was no longer a vegetarian option, only vegan. Overall, the quality was lower than before. Furthermore, while our dogs were given sausages during our first stay, they were completely ignored this time. Overall, a rather disappointing experience compared to our last visit.

Wanted to thank the staff at Bartons Mill for a great stay on Wednesday. I could've stayed at a big chain hotel but this place was cheaper, much nicer, cleaner, more comfortable; a great breakfast freshly cooked as well. Large yet cosy rooms, comfy beds, and nice staff. Will find a reason to stay again.

I stayed for 3 nights. It was perfect. The food was great. The room was very quiet at night. I slept deeply in the king size bed. The rooms are very spacious. The bathroom had a bath and shower, and they were so clean I am almost certain I was the first person to use them. Everyday room service remade the room. The staff made sure I was looked after well. I went alone and enjoyed a lot of walks. I cant wait to go back. It's a gem.

We just had our wedding at Barton’s mill and it was incredible. The staff were amazing and helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and they set up the tables with the decor we provided beautifully. Flo our co ordinator was so lovely and took away our stresses and Chanelle who looked after us in the morning kept us updated and on time with the order of the day. Absolutely worth every penny and a gorgeous venue to hold a wedding.

It's a beautiful setting and really worth seeing. We just felt a bit put off by the staff and the food. On arriving at the bar, two members of staff were chatting and didn't acknowledge us for a while which felt a bit awkward, and the waiter was a little bit quiet and distant. The food was surprisingly basic but this wouldn't put us off coming back, we would just order different things. Might've been an off day and for the setting alone, we'll definitely be back for hopefully a better experience.

I stayed in rm 2 with my mam. We were thrilled with the room. Clean, not cluttered, fresh and very warm. The bathroom was very spacious. From check in to check out all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The price for bed and breakfast was well worth it. Will definitely return.

The accommodation was superb. I stayed in a deluxe room (all rooms are located in the converted barn next to the pub). The room was spacious with a large double bed and good quality pillows, and a duvet. There was another, smaller room, where the wardrobe, desk and coffee facilities were located. Side note – I stayed two days, and two bottles of complimentary water were replenished on the second day. The bathroom was huge. The heated towel rack was working great, and the water pressure in the shower was spot on. The shower cabin was not leaking! This is usually the issue in hotels where after taking a shower, you step in into a puddle of water. Not at the Bartons! The WiFi was working well. The breakfast selection was limited, but the quality of the food (full English breakfast) was superb. A fantastic place overall. Thank you

The food overall was of a good standard. We mostly all had roast dinners, the only let down were the potatoes which were meant to be crispy but were instead soggy and seemingly fairly old. There isn’t much service to speak of as you go up and order at the bar but the food was brought out quickly and the staff friendly.
