“Very warm welcome from the staff and a great location for this for this very charming hotel. I found the decor fascinating with an eclectic mix of paintings, statutes and vintage furniture in every corner and wall. Our double on suite room was finished off with a very comfy 4 poster bed! The staff can't do enough for you, everything is just an as away. The manager (Martin) was very professional and looked after us throughout.”

“Stayed for 2 nights and loved it . The rooms were comfortable and warm , it is an old building so rickety in places , but this added to the charm . The food was wonderful both at breakfast and dinner and the staff were very kind and accommodating.”

“I have given 5 stars because as we were only at the hotel for one night the couple of little things that were not perfect we didn’t highlight to staff. They were the plug for the bath that only kept water in if I kept my foot on it and the toilet seat was in need of tightening up so it didn’t come off. The room was a great size and very comfortable, nice to have a footstool to use with the chair. We had an evening meal in the 1779 restaurant and the food was very nice.”

“I attended a Christmas party at the hotel yesterday & the catering staff were incredible. I eat gluten- & dairy-free & they went above & beyond, providing a fresh GF bread roll, cooking part of my main course from scratch, & even creating a custom strawberry cheesecake (off-menu) for dessert. I've never been so well looked after! Highly recommend this venue for their attentive, knowledgeable staff & accommodation of dietary needs.”

“Had a great stay - staff were all lovely and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished with a rain shower. My only issue was that it took 45 minutes for my dinner to be served after ordering even though it was a Wednesday night and the restaurant was very quiet, but it was delicious when I eventually got to eat it! Short walking distance from the train station and taxi rank! I would definitely stay again in the future!”

“It was pure chance that I ended up at this hotel, late at night. However, I must admit it was a lucky coincidence, because everything was fantastic. It was so pleasant, friendly, clean, and welcoming that I extended my stay in Wolverhampton and at this hotel. I must especially commend one of the night shift staff, who very efficiently checked me in on the night of my arrival and took care of all the extra amenities related to using the bar and kitchen. During my stay, I noticed that this particular lady, Kaja—that's her name—showed that, although she primarily manages the reception desk, she is an invaluable support to the rest of the staff. She was constantly helping someone with a problem, which usually stemmed from a lack of experience or knowledge. However, Kaja would solve the problem in a heartbeat, with a smile on her face, so you could feel the positive and friendly energy that emanates from her and spreads to the other staff. I definitely recommend this hotel, as it is truly comfortable and clean, and the staff are very friendly, helpful, and above all, professional. I would especially like to thank Kai, who from the very beginning of my stay demonstrated commitment, extensive knowledge and concern for the satisfaction of her guests.”

“I recently had my works Christmas party at Park Hall hotel’s festive party nights. It was absolutely fantastic! Very well organised, hard working staff, beautiful decor, great food and entertainment. All guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly and I will be booking again for next year (especially as I won 2 bottles of Prosecco!) thank you to all the staff who made everything run smoothly :)”

“Had a wonderful overnight stay. Very clean and the bed was amazing. Bath was just pure heaven and suite was very spacious. Only negative was bulb was out in bedside lamp and they had put towels in the bathroom but not shower room and toilet paper in shower room but not bathroom. As we were only there one night it didn't matter but its attention to detail and as it was the honeymoon suite, only because nothing else was available we took this room. For the extra cost to a normal double you expect it to be just rite. But lovely stay and would recommend it.”

“I've seen reviews here that people were unhappy with their rooms. I can see their point... But I stayed here for a night out drinking... Bed feels like the most comfy cloud when you've had a few. Walking distance from bars. What more do you expect? Personally really liked it. I'd come back.”

“I stayed here on the 17th of December and found the hotel not too bad. The gent on reception was polite and welcoming and I couldn't of ask for more for the price payed. People have to understand that these hotels lost a lot of support during the pandemic with ten of thousands of pounds lost. I have stayed in alot worse than this hotel and would return. It was clean, it was warm and I had a good night's sleep. Keep up the good work staff and thankyou for a nice stay. Room 212. D.P.”

“I don’t usually leave reviews, but The Connaught Hotel truly impressed me, so I had to. We stayed here for a wedding and booked multiple rooms. From start to finish, the staff were absolutely amazing, their communication, helpfulness, and hospitality really stood out. Some of our rooms were booked through Booking.com, while a couple were reserved directly over the phone. We found that calling the hotel directly can often get you a better rate, so it’s definitely worth checking. The hotel even upgraded our rooms for free, which was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay extra special. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt really well looked after throughout our visit. A huge thank you to all the staff, we’ll definitely be using The Connaught Hotel again in the future!”
