We decided to book a last-minute getaway between Christmas and New Year for a bit of relaxation. Unfortunately, the check-in process was neither welcoming nor smooth and took over 30 minutes. The receptionist wasn't too happy we drove straight in as the barrier was up ? When I showed the lady my email confirmation, she asked for my membership card or proof on the app. I explained that we had just bought the motorhome and hadn't transferred everything from our old van yet. She advised me to download the app and log in to access the internet. By that time, I was flustered and had trouble remembering passwords. She insisted on seeing proof of identity, stating that failing to ask these questions would be discriminatory towards other site users. After turning our motorhome upside down, I found an old card, which proved to be useless and gave her the same info as the email ? I preferred to pay in cash, as it was a Christmas gift, but was told that ID was required for cash payments. This was never mentioned in the paperwork and I had never been asked for ID before? The receptionist saw I wasn't happy and tried to change her tone by offering me a dry mince pie and flat Buck's Fizz. By then, I really needed a brandy and just wanted to get out of there. I refused to return to the office, so my husband went in to ask if we could move. Despite there being six empty blue-pegged pitches, she made a fuss but agreed . On a positive note, the site itself was pleasant , with clean and serviceable showers and toilets. However, cleaning at peak times between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM was inconvenient. Although you can hear the busy road, the 20-minute walk into town makes it worthwhile, being so close to Henley. We will return and have everything to hand now we know . CAMC can you update your rules to prevent other members starting off their break miserably . Sent from Outlook for iOS

We needed a campsite to stay following our crossing from Europe on route to visit family in wales. We arrived after 5 so the office was closed but the site team called and explained the process for checkin when we arrived. We were allocated a pitch close to the facilities block but due to the low level and the slight incline of the pitch we were unable to use it. We called the pitch and the team quickly answered and moved us. We were so pleased with the service we have booked to return next weekend. Thanks for the excellent service.

Staff are attentive and nice. Site had some potholes filled with water, watch out at night. Facilities good. Path to Henley is narrow and overgrown in places with leaves everywhere. Would use again.

1pm check in, toilet block closed from 10.30-12 , why? . Is it for the convenience of the customer clearly not, surely an earlier check in and later block clean benefits everyone , average/low quality showers small. Its bang on a busy road obviously it's close to Henley so that helps. Lots of the usual caravanning club posters don't do this don't do that. A chap coming round to complain I hadn't made them aware of the pitch number id been there 20 minutes I was setting up , if it was that important he could have told reception himself . Jobsworths which is a common theme in these sites. In. Summary not a great site .

Were use CAMH sites frequently and like that the standards are pretty much the same across the board. Toilet block clean and tidy but fraying around the edges as most are these days… This site however was just a bit bland with a cool but efficient check in and no warden seen after, for the whole of the time we were there. Big contrast to Graffham Water where we stayed before that had visible and friendly wardens. For us the site was not one to return to as it was very noisy with the main road alongside and only roadside pitches left to choose from (despite getting there before 2pm) The walk to town takes 15 mins approximately but was not a pleasant experience with trucks and cars whizzing past the narrow pavement. Also, the town has pretty much the same problem which didn’t make for a relaxing shopping experience at all! Walk is nice down by the river but that’s about it! It’s a no from us

Nice site but basic. Everything is clean and tidy but the road noise it a bit frustrating. Not the staffs fault but reality of location. Dog walking area is nice but if you own a dog clear up the mess. It’s a shame low life think it’s someone else’s problem. If you own it own it all.

Typical CAMC site about 2 miles out of town with all the facilities that brings. Friendly helpful staff, peaceful at night, lots of rabbits about on the site. Facilities were clean and tidy, everything you'd expect to find on a club site.

Beautiful site. Myself and my colleague pulled over to have lunch in our ambulance. The staff here were very welcoming and accommodating. We had a little walk around, and it was stunning! Very very clean! We were so impressed! Thank you for allowing us to have our break on your site.. we wish you all the best. St John Ambulance ❤️

Not a great feel. On the positive the toilet block was good and spotlessly clean. Main issue is it is next to a main road I to Henley. Very convenient but very noisy. Swift farm closer to Henley on the same road so much better

Great for visiting Henley which is a 15 minute walk down the road. Lots of trees and wildlife to watch from the comfort on your lounge, just watch out for the Red Kites which are almost vermin in these parts, ask anyone who lives here! Excellent choices of eating and drinking venues in town to suit all budgets. I'll especially recommend the Brakspears Henley Ale Trail, it'll reach parts that other beers can't!
