Camped out here, great for the ridgeway and if doing king alfreds way, stunning views. Bit tired in places but that adds to the charm
Stopped for a drink and a snack, in a lovely spot overlooking the landscape. Food choices were simple, tasty and not a bad price. Service was friendly too. Highly recommended. A bit easy to miss the sign for the turnoff.
Lovely location, great views of the Vale and 200M from the Ridgeway. The café has home cooked food and is popular with cyclists, motorcyclists, and walkers. Nice place.
A useful stop on the Ridgeway. I only stayed for a coffee in the early morning, and staff were friendly and attentive. The place itself could use a lick of paint or two.
A lovely place to call in and have anything from a drink to a lunch time meal, they even do dog ice cream and chews so dogs are welcome if on a lead. Lots of walking in the countryside.the views are lovely. It's not a hotel but they do rooms I think.
Perfect place to stop for cuppa and a cake. The bread pudding was delicious. Gorgeous blustery views
Really really cozy space for a cup of tea or a coffee and a slice of cake. Perfect place to stop off while walking the ridgeway, beautiful area and very lovely staff… felt like an adventurer having a pit stop and refilling HP, very misty and atmospheric with the misty woods surrounding. Honestly one of the loos looked a bit like my first year university accommodation which was a bit weird - don’t know whether that speaks to the quality of the loo or the bad quality of my accommodation. Nevertheless, a really lovely place.
Nice staff. Foods good. Great location if you like a hike or a off road ride. You can get strate on the oxfordshire ridgeway above wantage.
Visited as part of a biker group. Rural setting which was beautiful whilst having my coffee and bacon and egg toastie. It’s marked for us to visit again. Staff were just lovely. Parking was good.
