Attended a wedding on Sunday 14th December. Darren was our server. He was very polite, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and everything was fine. Was more than happy to answer any questions we had. He is a credit to Audrey's wood. A great member of staff you have.

Had a very well rounded stay here! We visited for a birthday party. We had hired a room for our meal which was so well presented and laid out! Great staff who went above and beyond to cater for everyone's needs. Especially Darren who was there for our evening meal and again at breakfast and gave a 5* service.

The history of Audleys Wood Hotel is fantastic, beautiful grounds and wild life. Food and drinks expensive but the food is nice. Staff are very helpful, especially Gary he was a very funny man with a five star attitude. Room staff are very trustworthy and keep rooms clean and topped up when you need it. Overall a very pleasant stay in a beautiful place.

Country house hotel near Basingstoke. Public rooms nicely presented, staying true to the building's Victorian heritage. My room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Nice touches with quality tea and coffee, free mineral water and proper milk in the fridge and very decent toiletries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was beautifully presented and tasty. Good wine selection. Given its setting, it's very popular as a wedding venue. There was a wedding on the evening I stayed, but you wouldn't have known. It seems very well organised so that there's no problem with noise. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes and again excellent, friendly service. The only thing I noticed was that my bathroom could do with updating to match the rest of the room. Clean, but a bit tired. Overall, a great place to stop either overnight or for a few days.

A Beautiful Wedding Venue with Outstanding Service. I recently attended a wedding here and felt compelled to leave a reviewβ€”it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived via the grand driveway, the venue made a stunning first impression. The entire day was seamless, joyful, and beautifully organized. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. A special thank you to Daz (or Darryl), Alan, Lilly, and Leoβ€”you were all not only professional and helpful but also warm, chatty, and great with both kids and older guests. You really went the extra mile to make the day easier and more enjoyable for everyone. The toastmaster kept everything running smoothly, the food was delicious, and the DJ and lighting created the perfect atmosphere to round out the celebrations. It’s clear that guest experience is a top priority hereβ€”we felt genuinely looked after and valued, not just as attendees but as part of the celebration. It’s a beautiful and, importantly, private spaceβ€”perfect for such a special day. I’m sure the couple were over the moon, and I know many guests, myself included, walked away feeling the same. Highly recommend this venue for any couple planning their big day.

A fairly good Christmas Day meal overall but a few small niggles. These may seem fussy but please keep in mind for the price tag of Β£115 per person I expect things to be spot on! Pros: Meal overall was good - the food came at a good pace and did not feel rushed. Food was generally of a good standard with good variation between courses. Christmas music gave a nice ambience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Cons: The main one! - We selected the venue for its old country house hotel style and arrived to find we were eating in a marquee in the garden clearly used for work style Christmas parties/weddings. The hotel really should make this clear when you book as you are not actually in the hotel building. It was predictably a little chilly and stark as trying to decorate such a large white space is difficult. Veggie main was poor and should have been the star of the show! The wellington tasted of lemon (almost a washing up liquid taste!), the glazed carrots were clearly boiled unless what they had been glazed in was just water and the whole plate was covered in a thick gravy which you had to eat with everything. Surely this could have been on one side of plate or in a jug. The chocolate dessert was terrible - lots of people left it - the Christmas pudding was ok at best. Honestly the starters and interim courses were so much better than the main and dessert! Overall a good meal out but as I said with the price tag I really would be expecting to give a 5 star score!

We had out company Christmas lunch here, and it was absolutely amazing. The portion sizes were perfect, and the meal was fabulous. Very nice touch, chef Leon came out to our table for feedback. Definitely want to have our next company party here as well!

Had an afternoon tea, a gift from my children for our 40th wedding anniversary. Initial thought was there wasn't enough food but I was wrong. There was plenty. Sandwiches were lovely with different flavoured breads. Scones were to die for and the cakes were superb although a bit sickly for me. The choice of teas was terrific but they didn't have my first choice. Venue is lovely, elegant and very comfortable. Easy access to restaurant and bathrooms. There are 4 or 5 steps to enter the hotel but I'm sure they either have a ramp or staff to assist. The staff were very knowledgeable of their menus and all were very polite, cheerful, kind and helpful.

I couldn’t recommend Audleys Wood highly enough for your wedding. From start to finish the staff ensured everything ran smoothly, making sure myself and the groom had nothing to worry about on the day. Zoe our wedding coordinator helped with any questions I had throughout the run up to our wedding. She’s an absolute star! Michael our coordinator on the day is a legend. A big smile and happy to help with anything! The food was incredible, all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it too. Then to top off such a great day, an overnight stay in a wonderful suite. Just stunning!

You can't really go wrong with the service and quality of food in this establishment. It is the cream of the crop and it stands as one of the best hotels in the area and rightly so. I went for an afternoon tea and from start to finish the wait service was excellent, friendly but professional. The food was favoursome and you could tell a lot of care went into the making of each sandwich or cake. It was a filling afternoon tea so do not be fooled by the size of the portions. Martin at front of house was extremely kind and courteous, giving us his time for a lovely chat about the hotel and position. All in all a lovely experience and I wouldn't expect anything else from Audleys, they surpass their reputation.
