Stephan also went above and beyond in accepting our request for late checkout which made our stay even better! Location is brilliant (only about 3mins from the centre and restaurants). For the price paid absolutely brilliant hotel!”

“Lovely hotel with great, friendly staff. They welcomed us and our children extremely warmly and made our life a lot easier! The evening buffet for the children was brilliant as it meant they could eat without waiting ages and pick what they wanted and change their minds easily enough. The grown up food was also very tasty. On a personal preference I thought the food was a bit 'poncy' for my taste but that's entirely a personal thing! Would definitely look to stay here again if I was in the area.”

“Good location. Next door to Beefeater for food. Booked by company, so walk in pick up card, enter reg number of van into system to avoid parking charge. Nice room with TV, clean comfortable bed. Acceptable bathroom, hairdryer etc. Good kip. Morning coffee, drop card in box. Sorted.”

“I have to say that i am stunned by the kindness and hospitality of Sharon and her team during our stay due to a house fire. Everyone is so kind and has worked so hard to ensure that my family and my dogs who were trapped in the fire are happy. I can honestly say that ive never stayed anywhere better. Lovely family atmosphere and we will miss everyone when we leave. You will not find a friendlier hotel. The staffs love if dogs shines through. Roons and service go way beyond excellent. Highly recommend.”

From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Check-in was fast and smooth, and I immediately felt well taken care of. One of the highlights of my stay was the swimming pool and spa area—immaculately clean, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind. The Jacuzzi was especially relaxing after a long day of travel. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, it’s a great way to de-stress. Another huge plus was the free parking, which made things super convenient. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference. What really stood out overall was the friendly customer service. Every staff member I encountered, from reception to housekeeping, was genuinely kind and attentive. “Travelled for work, fantastic quiet spot just outside of reading. Old characterful building. Rooms pleasantly modernised, particularly new/modern bathroom. Room spotless/clean. WiFi fast for working if required. Lady who served breakfast provides a friendly start to the day, all staff in fact very welcoming and helpful. Food in restaurant is good, flavourful and a varied selection. Tea/coffee/water in rooms restocked daily. If in the area I would definitely stay again.”

“Stayed for the night following a friend's birthday celebration. Warm welcome on check in and everything explained regarding breakfast and checking out. Beautiful large room for 2 of us to share, everything you could need to make a comfortable stay. Bathroom with a large walk in shower, looked fairly new and sparkling clean. Comfy beds and a fabulous breakfast in the morning. Perfectly poached eggs. The evening meal was lovely everyone was impressed with their choices and portion sizes were fabulous for the price. Staff were happy to add a candle to our friend's desert for us. Definitely would recommend and would stay again if in the area.”

“Absolutely great little Pub with very well equipped rooms. Food was great especially breakfast. Staff were excellent. Anyone thinking about a place to stay, whilst visiting Bombay Sapphire, should definitely put this place top of the list. Overton is a lovely friendly little village.”

“Me and my girlfriend decided we would try out the food in this fine establishment. We bought a drink at the bar then was taken to our seats to order food. It happened to be steak night and our waiter (Luke) was absolutely amazing, with good old British banter but also very professional. I always get a Rib/eye steak, but like recommended something else by like and I was not disappointed at all. My other half got fish and chips which was cooked to perfection, and oh my god the beef dripping chips are to die for! We will 100% be back, and give Luke a raise because he deserves one!!”

“We stayed for one night as a family. The hotel is in a great location with good parking. The room and hotel were exceptionally clean throughout, facilities are brilliant. The breakfast selection was great. The best thing about our stay, however, was the staff - particularly Khadija on reception when we checked in and Suleyman at breakfast. All the staff we met were so polite, friendly and helpful. They really made the stay even better. Thank you.”

“The hotel was absolutely lovely. As a wheelchair user, I get anxious about going to new places but this hotel is 100% disabled friendly. Although I didn't have a disabled room, the room I had was very spacious and I was still able to use my wheelchair in it easily. It was very clean, the food was delicious (although slightly expensive), and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend this place for a lovely little retreat, the spa facilities were really nice and also wheelchair friendly!”

“Just had our “Surprise” wedding reception here. Staff were more than helpful in getting the room set up despite the fact we were essentially self catering. Moved food into their fridges to keep it cool and kept topping up as needed. Great room for a largish party of 100 or so and despite the 30 degrees outside the air conditioning kept us cool. The staff were really helpful including at the end when we had lots of tables to sort out and clear they did most of it for us making our evening as enjoyable as possible.”

“Fantastic stay and amazing Pan Asian Cuisine. The restaurant was beautifully laid out fresh white table cloths and sparkling cutlery. The manager was so friendly and helpful with good energy. The staff were also a delight. Thankyou to you all. The locals in the pub were so welcoming will definitely recommend this venue to everyone.
