One of the highlights of my stay was the swimming pool and spa area—immaculately clean, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind. The Jacuzzi was especially relaxing after a long day of travel. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, it’s a great way to de-stress. Another huge plus was the free parking, which made things super convenient. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference. What really stood out overall was the friendly customer service. “Travelled for work, fantastic quiet spot just outside of reading. Old characterful building. Rooms pleasantly modernised, particularly new/modern bathroom. Room spotless/clean. WiFi fast for working if required. Lady who served breakfast provides a friendly start to the day, all staff in fact very welcoming and helpful. Food in restaurant is good, flavourful and a varied selection. Tea/coffee/water in rooms restocked daily. If in the area I would definitely stay again.”

“Me and my girlfriend decided we would try out the food in this fine establishment. We bought a drink at the bar then was taken to our seats to order food. It happened to be steak night and our waiter (Luke) was absolutely amazing, with good old British banter but also very professional. I always get a Rib/eye steak, but like recommended something else by like and I was not disappointed at all. My other half got fish and chips which was cooked to perfection, and oh my god the beef dripping chips are to die for! We will 100% be back, and give Luke a raise because he deserves one!!”

“We stayed for one night as a family. The hotel is in a great location with good parking. The room and hotel were exceptionally clean throughout, facilities are brilliant. The breakfast selection was great. The best thing about our stay, however, was the staff - particularly Khadija on reception when we checked in and Suleyman at breakfast. “The hotel was absolutely lovely. As a wheelchair user, I get anxious about going to new places but this hotel is 100% disabled friendly. Although I didn't have a disabled room, the room I had was very spacious and I was still able to use my wheelchair in it easily. It was very clean, the food was delicious (although slightly expensive), and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend this place for a lovely little retreat, the spa facilities were really nice and also wheelchair friendly!”

“Just had our “Surprise” wedding reception here. Staff were more than helpful in getting the room set up despite the fact we were essentially self catering. Moved food into their fridges to keep it cool and kept topping up as needed. Great room for a largish party of 100 or so and despite the 30 degrees outside the air conditioning kept us cool. The staff were really helpful including at the end when we had lots of tables to sort out and clear they did most of it for us making our evening as enjoyable as possible.”

“Great hotel with brilliant service! Arrived at the check-in time and getting into the rooms was easy and having free water and biscuits was a nice touch. Stephan also went above and beyond in accepting our request for late checkout which made our stay even better! Location is brilliant (only about 3mins from the centre and restaurants). For the price paid absolutely brilliant hotel!”
