“We had a great stay at the Ibis Budget. For a budget hotel, the rooms were great, with good bathrooms. Lovely bar area. Good food and drink. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Good location for everything we wanted to do. The Moor car park is a little bit of a walk with luggage but we brought the car to the back of the hotel which made it easy. Thanks to all the team.”

“I came here with a group of 15 uni students, the location was perfect and the rooms were spotless. The staff here genuinely made our trip, they were super friendly and accommodating. We hired out the meeting room in the evening which was great for a group of our size.”

“Excellent stay at Leopold Hotel Sheffield. The hotel is stylish, clean and very comfortable, with well-appointed rooms and great attention to detail. The staff were friendly, professional and always helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect, right in the city centre and close to shops, restaurants and attractions. A calm, welcoming atmosphere and great value for money. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.”

“I had a great experience at the Royal Victoria, so far the best (chain) hotel I've stayed at in Sheffield. The staff were professional and friendly, and whilst the lobby are and hallways are showing their age a little, the room was absolutely lovely. It was well-equipped and modern, as well as light and airy (we had a corner room). One note: it is located on top of a very busy road, and though the windows are quite good at blocking the noise, if you're a light sleeper then perhaps bring earplugs to be on the safe side. I had some with me but forgot to put them in and still slept great. The advantage is that you're within 15mins walk of the train station, and the same distance from Kelham Island and the city centre!”

“Needed a hotel in Sheffield for two nights while I came down to purchase a new car. This hotel is in a great location, shops, food places and so much more all within walking distance. I was able to walk to it easily from Sheffield station. Staff at reception are very polite, professional and helped with any questions I had. Booked me taxis when required with no hassle. Room was big and exactly what I booked. Would be good if TVs had Netflix etc but wasn’t a huge deal. Beds EXTREMELY comfortable and had a great two nights sleep. Highly recommend the leonardo hotel”

“I had a truly delightful experience staying at premier inn (Angel Street). Whilst staying here I thought I would have a few drinks in the bar, there was one member of staff, Samantha Marsden, she was so friendly, so helpful, made my experience so very easy for me. Every question I asked her, she had the answer too, she took the time to make sure everything was ok. I had a very pleasant time, always had a smile on her face, always doing something weather that was cleaning or taking pots to the back and bring new ones back, she was always on her toes. Very professional, punctual and just an all round kind, helpful young lady. I would definitely recommend staying here again. Thank you Samantha for making my stay so pleasant.”

“If I could give this place more stars I would as it in my opinion deserves it. Very friendly reception staff. Wheelchair accessible throughout the entire building. . The room is very clean and made up well with coffee and tea facilities. Rooms are cleaned for you daily with fresh bedding and towels. The bathroom is amazing and modern with a lovely power shower. Included in the price is a free breakfast whether you want a cooked breakfast or a choice of cereals and fruit, plus free coffee or fruit juice and you can eat as much as you wish to. It has a well stocked bar along with a extremely high quality menu at a very reasonable price. Plus a choice of snacks should you miss the restaurant times. All in all the Holiday Inn Express in Sheffield far surpasses its 3 Star rating and I will definitely be staying there again and I would highly recommend it for both families and romantic couples . Thanks for a lovely weekend away........”

“Stayed a night after seeing Saints play Blades away. Great hotel, room was clean and comfy, price was excellent. Arrived before 3pm check-in, if you want to check in early it will cost you £15. I checked in after 3pm, and there was a line and it was a bit slow. That's the only con. Super easy walk to and from Bramall Lane if you're there for the football. Would stay again for sure.”

“Clean, comfortable, easily accessible hotel with ample parking. The room was a little hot, due to no AC, however a large fan was provided which helped a lot. The restaurant next door has reopened, although I didn't use it on this visit. The stand out point for me, was the staff! We had travelled from Devon, for my partner to have major surgery at Northern General Hospital, and an, otherwise, stressful visit was made bearable by the care & compassion of every member of staff I met; they went above & beyond to check that I had everything I needed and that I was OK & enquired daily about my partner (he's recovering well). I'll be back to stay again when I return to bring him home. THANK YOU!”

“Booked DB&B via wowcher for a quick getaway. Warm welcome on check in with Nicky & co. Explained where everything is and facilities on site. Room clean but furniture tired looking and in need of TLC. The evening meal although smaller menu than other hotels of thus size was exceptional. Highly recommend the Yorkshire Fish cake starter. Wish I'd ordered it, had to steal a taste of the husbands. Sorry forgot pictures of main course!! Comfy bed in warm rooms. Paid short visit to spa area before checking out. Only small but good to sat inclusive of the price. Ps also dog friendly hotel.”

“Let's remember this is a budget hotel. Staff were all welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is clean and in nice condition. Rooms are good value, large, and clean. Location is good for jumping on the tram into Sheffield or for Meadowhall. Coffee not great. Would pay more for decent coffee. Food generally ok. I had some concerns about car park security before arrival but had no issues at all.”

“Great customer service, very attentive and helpfull. The rooms are big, clean and well organized. They offer a spa, swimming pool and many other features. The hotel is very beautiful, its architecture and plant-instalations. The location is amazing, it’s next to a beautiful church and square with a water fountain and water sculptures. You can walk to all needed places : museums, theatre, shopping and restaurants. It’s has a winter garden , a terrace , it’s really amazing place to book. Definitely recommend.”

“This is a good hotel made excellent by the friendly, attentive, professional and fun front of house staff. Nothing was to much trouble. In fact hats off to all the staff. They were all incredible. The rooms are big, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The air-con was icy cold on a hot August day. The bathrooms are modern with a powerful hot shower. Ironing boards and irons in every room. Centrally located. Breakfast was included in the price and plentiful. Hot, cold, fresh waffles, fabulous. We stopped for 2 nights for my son’s wedding at Kelham Island and these guys made the run up and the following morning so hassle free. There were 4 generations of our family stopping and we all agreed our stay was perfect.”

“I came here for business reasons and the hotel staff are magnificent, especially the night team comprising of two wonderful gentleman who deserved every poppadom I brought them. The rooms were comfortable and the shower not too bad! The only reason for a subtraction of a star is the silly glass pane that is used to block water from exiting the shower. It’s ineffective and makes the floor slippery. Please install a permanent fixture that extends further along the bathtub side. I’m no expert on showering appliances, but that’s my personal take on it. I loved the free bottles of water with the room, I find that to be such a wonderful feature of any room I stay in! The spa facilities were alright, the woman was very kind on the front desk. The steam room was far too cold to be classed as one, and had a strange odor to it. I won’t subtract stars for this as it’s not technically part of the hotel’s management. The bar staff were kind to me, especially the long-haired young fellow who made sure I got a lovely chicken Cesar salad for lunch! I recommend staying at this hotel. Parking’s free too!”

“I was a little bit dubious about it being a motorway hotel, and i was wrong. The hotel was bright and airy, the staff on reception were warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy and clean. There was a bath and shower Coffee and tea were available. The hotel was close enough to the services to have a walk there. I had taken the wrong charger for my phone. The receptionist was very helpful and let me borrow a charger. I didn't get her name but she was amazing. The hotel was busy but was quiet. Breakfast was available to purchase from the services. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommended.”

“Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights while we visited family as we have come from the Lake District and we could not have asked for a better experience! The receptionist was very smiley and welcomed us with nothing but a positive attitude! On the second night we had a little issue with the key card but a new receptionist was very helpful and sorted the issue within no time. We were absolutely delighted with the room, very clean! We will definitely be coming by again.”

“I checked in on Monday 6th and checked out today Friday 10th October after being contracted to work on the building. The new manager Jo is absolutely amazing at her job and is such a lovely person, who is trying her hardest to make changes to the hotel and bring it up to a higher standard. I generally only sleep around 3 hours maximum per night but during my stay here I slept more than I have in around 15 years. The breakfast, both cooked and continental were lovely and the choice was brilliant! The night time food was amazing too and the chefs really can cook. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, the bedding was immaculately clean, the rooms were spotless and the tea and coffee facilities were brilliant (The Decaf Yorkshire Tea is spot on when you want a nighttime brew in bed). I’ll be returning and staying again next month for my Birthday weekend and I’m really looking forward to it. Can’t fault my experience/stay and I’m very hard to please. Thankyou Jo (or as I kept calling her “Mel”) and the rest of the team, you’re doing an amazing job.”

“A great hotel for the price! Paid £39 on the day for a double room. Safe to say due to the price we had low expectations, however, we found the hotel to be very comfortable! Pro's: Comfy bed, room was immaculately clean and the shower was lovely. Can't hear other rooms or other people in the hallway which allows for a good night's sleep! Shower gel/face wash/soap provided. Con's: Reception staff were polite but didn't go out of their way to help with things. Hallways/the building is dated and has a musty smell (room was absolutely fine). No kettle for tea and coffee making facilities! Overall, for the price we were very satisfied. Decided not to have breakfast here but judging from previous reviews this was probably a good call!”
