    Hilton Aberdeen TECA

    ★★★★☆ 4.5

“We recently stayed at the Hilton Teca during a trip to Aberdeen to visit family. A few days prior to arriving, I received an email letting me know that we had received a complimentary room upgrade which was a pleasant unexpected surprise. On arrival, we were given such a warm welcome from the reception team members Victoria and Maria. We were told that our upgrade also included access to the exec lounge, although we were not able to use this during this trip. Our room (416) was large and clean and the giant bed was super comfortable, the view did look out on to a main road, but it was incredibly quiet, so you wouldn't even know. Each night of our stay we'd head to the bar for a night cap, all the restaurant/bar staff we met were super friendly and helpful, particularly Shane and Eilidh who took great care of us over the 3 days we stayed. Breakfast was well stocked and varied, although more vegan options would always be appreciated. The gym and spa were clean and a great space to relax. We will definitely stayed here again.”

“My recent visit to the Ibis Aberdeen was nothing short of perfect, easily earning a 5-star review. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality and warmth. The comfort of the stay was paramount. The modern, well-appointed room provided a peaceful retreat, ensuring a restful night's sleep in the comfortable bed. The hotel's commitment to providing an excellent service experience shone through in every interaction. A special and heartfelt commendation must go to Miguel and the entire Ibis Aberdeen team. Miguel, in particular, is a true asset. His presence at the hotel made me feel incredibly welcomed and valued. Tonight, Miguel truly went the extra mile, demonstrating an attentiveness and professional guest service that surpassed all expectations. The dedication and positive attitude of the rest of the team are equally notable, contributing to a consistently high-quality experience. The wholesome breakfast was a delightful start to the day. The selection was varied and fresh, but the true star was the amazing automated pancake maker! It's a fun and brilliant touch that elevates the entire breakfast experience. For anyone looking for value, comfort, and outstanding staff in the city, the Ibis Aberdeen is the absolute best hotel choice. Highly, highly recommended!”

Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel & Spa

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“From the moment I walked through the door, I couldn’t fault a single thing. And trust me, I am a self-confessed hotel snob—the kind who judges places by the fluffiness of their lobby cushions. But this hotel ticked every box… and at a price so good I briefly wondered if they’d mixed up my booking with someone far less demanding. The two young women on reception were fantastic—friendly, smiley, and so well presented I considered standing up straighter just talking to them. They chatted like we were old pals, asked about my daughter’s university visit, and answered every question without even a hint of “please go away.” Truly a credit to the hotel. Walking from reception to our ground-floor room (147), the place just kept impressing me. Everything is immaculate, fresh, and spotless. The corridors are so well lit I half expected someone to hand me a script and tell me we were filming a toothpaste advert. Our room had two double beds with duvets so comfortable I’m convinced they’re filled with clouds stolen from a Pixar movie. The pillows were perfect, and the sheets were so brilliantly white that I lay down carefully to avoid disturbing their purity. Beautiful tartan blackout blinds on both windows added a classy touch. There was tea, coffee, a microwave, a fridge cleverly tucked in the wardrobe area, and two wing-back chairs that made me feel like I should be reading a classic novel—even though all I did was stare at the TV, which has every app and channel known to mankind. Now, the bathroom. As someone who enjoys a long shower (the type where you emerge looking like a raisin), this one was an absolute triumph. I stood under that rainfall shower for a solid 20 minutes, admiring the red brick feature wall—something I’ve never seen in a shower before, but now firmly believe should be mandatory everywhere. The shower gel also smells so good I’m thinking of wearing it as a fragrance. This morning I popped back to reception because the car park was full last night. Once again, the same young lady greeted me with a smile that suggested she actually remembered who I was—a rare and powerful skill in hospitality. She helped me get my van off the street before the traffic enforcement team could appear and ruin my day. She deserves a medal… or at least an extra biscuit in the staff room. I know it’s early to say this, but I’m fully expecting breakfast to be spectacular. At this point, the only way this hotel could disappoint me is if they suddenly run out of bacon. In fact, I’m secretly hoping my daughter chooses Aberdeen University (RGU), not just for her future—but so my wife and I have an excuse to come back here every month and live our best hotel life. Overall, this hotel doesn’t just earn 5 stars—it swipes them, polishes them, and presents them back with a smile. Well done Sandman Signature this hotel and your staff are above fantastic.”

“As premier inns go, it is falls within the middle of the spectrum. Not bad but not amazing either - clean rooms and standard facilities do the job perfectly, with a small room for breakfast and a carvery next door. The location isn't amazing but the hotel itself is fine. Everything you'd expect from a Premier Inn, in a positive way.”

“Nice clean and tidy reception, friendly welcome, the reception staff member was really helpful and welcoming, explained the hotel facilities to us and always greeted us when we passed. The room was very clean and comfortable, nice layout, modern design, and had air conditioning which was great with the warm weather that week. The shower was good and plenty room. The Breakfast was very good, great selection of traditional cooked breakfast and continental, even make your own waffles. There is a basic gym on the 1st floor with modern equipment. Parking was Free and there was plenty spaces. I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay, and only half hour drive into Aberdeen.”

“I've given 5 start review purely because of the staff - based on our welcome to the hotel and service in the restaurant. We had to find somewhere to stay on a Thursday as our whole street and building had a blackout. Maryna gave us such a lovely welcome, she was so lovely. Martin in the restaurant was beyond lovely. The staff are a huge credit here and made a stressful evening so much easier. Maryna & Martin your kindness was very much appreciated.”

    Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport

    ★★★★☆ 4.1

“In general I am not a fan of airport hotels. While they are usually very convenient as being close to an airport , amenities are usually lacking and overall quality is usually pretty low. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the Hampton located next to the Aberdeen, Scotland airport. The location was excellent, less than a mile from the airport snd the car rental center. After a sixteen hour day of traveling we arrived at the hotel at 11:00 am and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready for check in. We expected to wait around until 3:00 pm for official check in time, but the staff member on duty greeted us with a smaile and told us our room was ready. Our room was small and utilitarian (it apparently was an upgrade because of our Diamond status) but was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Lots of places to charge our devices, a comfy bed, and the bathroom had great water pressure and very large fluffy towels. Food is available in the dining room from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm. It is a very basic/limited menu and you order from your phone, but our pizza we ordered for lunch eas very good and cooked perfectly. They offered Continental breakfast at 6:30 and a full hot breakfast at 7:30 am (times are earlier during the week, so check). Both the Continental and hot breakfasts were excellent, a lot of variety and it was one of the better breakfast buffets we had ever had at a Hampton. Best of all was the staff. I wish I had gotten individual staff members' names, because they all deserved special mention. Everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful. They truly made us feel welcome. We will return in a couple of weeks at the end of our Scottish holiday before flying home and we actually look forward to staying at this particular airport hotel. Highly recommended.”

“This hotel had some very mixed reviews - but we still booked this for the last night of our Scotland vacation as location is very close to Aberdeen Airport and they do offer family rooms which is convenient when 2 adults and 1 child - and at a very competitive rate including breakfast. Really pleasantly surprised, nice spacious room for being in UK, good service and very clean. Yes the rooms are dated but still nice. Nice new TV too and working fridge. Nice bar and restaurant area with an OK dinner menu, nothing fancy at all - but good comfort food I'd say like what I would expect for an airport hotel. Order a side salad if you want salad to go with your meal. Very nice service and friendly staff. The building itself is nice and I like you can see it has quite a number of years behind it, but still a luxurious touch. I would definitely stay again if in need of a hotel close to Aberdeen Airport.”
