Family of 2+1. Stayed for one night only. Room was clean and HUGE for the price. Staff was unbelievably welcoming and friendly. Swimming pool guy really helpful. Food was really good. Asked for a drink out of the menu. "We've got ingredients. We"ll make it for you." Absolutely amazing experience. Will be back just for the service :)

Had a pleasant enough weekend stay here and while itβs starting to feel a little dated in places would consider again. The room was a good enough size but great that two armchairs were present. Thereβs no electric sockets next to the bed but there is plenty of storage and the TV was a good size. Air-conditioning wasnβt the most effective but it was possible to open the window slightly. The bathroom was the most dated aspect but fortunately everything was clean. The hotel can get busy at times, which meant I wasnβt able to check out the restaurant since it was full, so bear this in mind given the limited alternative options nearby but otherwise it was comfortable and Iβd recommend if the location works for you.

Nice hotel, convenient location for us. Staff were excellent - welcoming and friendly. Delicious food (great variety and choices) and excellent service in the restaurant. The breakfasts were great too! Some of the decor was a little tired, but that didn't detract from our stay.

The room was a good size, big bed, had a good night's sleep. Staff were all very friendly. We really enjoyed the pool and facilities. Was a fantastic price for what we got. Bus stop right outside of the hotel so it was very easy to get in and out of the city. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing special. Rooms are clean although facilities are a bit outdated. Tiny TV and no great window views. Provided complementary items such as tooth brushs and napkins are bare although coffee and tea are provided. Breakfast is decent if you don't have any dietary requirements. Location is a bit remote but it serves it's purpose as a work hotel. Beautiful views by the shore though if you go for a walk or run. Gym is quite good although the pool looked too small and crowded to be a positive.

Really good value for money, close to all local shops, room was old fashioned but bed was very comfortable and shower was great. Food in resturant was amazing, massive portions and fast service. Breakfast was great also. Staff are lovely, highly recommend.

Start with the positives. It looks nice when you walk in and the staff were super friendly. Thatβs it. Room is basic and dated and the bed is uncomfortable. Decor is tired and definitely needing refinishing. The food is where I 100% believe the reviews must be made up. I ordered a pizza at Β£15 and the waitress said βjust to Let you know these are boxed pizzas not made freshβ now I liked her honesty but what the heck. I instead ordered what can only be described as the worst pasta dish Iβve ever had. Apart from the fact it was basically macaroni cheese with bits of dry chicken through it, it was also cold. The two slices of garlic bread were from the packets you get from farm foods for Β£1. Oh yeah and the Pepsi max was flat. No one at any point asked if we enjoyed our meal which is simply unacceptable. What a shambles of a place. Most certainly will never be back.

Donβt book an event here and then cancel it for any reason, even if itβs unavailable and wishing a few days. They will keep your entire deposit. Shocking customer service. Sorry had to come back on your response. You call offering us the ability spend another Β£300 flexible and an option. Also just out of curiosity if my partner hadnβt paid the deposit so quickly would she have been charged a Β£300 cancellation charge. Donβt see that in your terms and conditions. So because she paid early despite mo demand for payment itβs not refunded but if she had waited another 3 days it would have been free. What have you done for that money in 3 mo the time β¦β¦. Nothing

Stayed there thanks to the council while waiting for a house. The staff are so nice and friendly and even let me con some extra biscuits to give to my friend when I left. The pool is lovely and food is delicious but the polite, helpful and friendly staff was definitely a highlight.

The Aberdeen Altens is honestly just about the most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed in - and at a great price, too! A big room with a comfy bed, a huge TV set, a bathroom with bathtub - and downstairs (connected with a lift, of course) not only a very good restaurant and bar, but also a fitness room and a swimming pool with hot tubs, sauna and steam bath!! For just over Β£50 for the night, I felt like in a dream of luxury and absolute comfort. And the breakfast buffet the following morning was grand, too, everything from fruit and cereals to eggs and sausages to haggis!
