This was our first time staying at Residence Inn Aberdeen. We received a very warm welcome and were impressed with the location of the hotel. The shower was great and I loved the smell of the toiletries (rosemary and mint). There was a lovely big mirror with good lighting and a walk-in shower with a variety of settings. It was a bit odd that the bathroom was accessed by sliding the wardrobe door across - zero sound insulation so not much privacy when using the toilet! Housekeeping could be improved. The mattress topper was so bizarrely lopsided that we had to strip the bed to reposition it. Some spots in the bathroom could have have used more careful attention but the room was clean overall. The TV was a bit laggy when changing channels and accessing the guide. Anyone planning to cook in their room should know that there is no chopping board and the knives are quite blunt. Dishwasher tablets are provided. Breakfast was honestly one of the most disappointing we've had. Travelodge and Premier Inn have been better. The majority of hot items need to be ordered, and they come in tiny portions - little espresso cups with a couple of tablespoons of beans (which aren't on the menu anywhere but are available) or a few pieces of mushroom. The hash browns tasted twice-cooked in a deep fat fryer and were very oily (almost inedible). The grilled tomatoes were lukewarm. Service was mixed - Costin and Dimitry were highly professional and efficient, but another member of staff seemed intent on avoiding serving us even after we caught her eye. In general it felt like there were too few staff working at breakfast. On the second morning we skipped the hot breakfast, for the first time ever - it's usually my favourite part of staying in a hotel! We were unlucky enough to be woken around 4am by the fire alarm, which turned out to be a false alarm. I was able to use the Bonvoy app to check with the front desk that it was safe to go back to sleep. I'd recommend this hotel on the basis of its location, its modernity, and the warmth of many of the staff there. However the breakfast does need improving in a big way. And guests should never have to remake the bed on arrival!

Arrived in Aberdeen super early and asked for early check in. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were sorting our room and invited to enjoy breakfast while we waited for the room to be serviced. No extra charge and smiles all round from staff. Catered to my free from happiness (gluten intolerant) girlfriend and left us both smiling with the stay.

The stafff is super friendly. Room were great too. Just maybe the drains need to be clean more often. Breakfast was amazing and cater for GF and DF dietary restrictions. Car park available but ring reception for specific details and google maps finest take you to the right place. Then you get a daily code for access. Great location. Just short walk to Union st where is full with restaurants and landmarks

For a modern city hotel, very impressed. Amazing location in the city close to everywhere important. Everything was so easy. Service impeccable and polite. Room was perfectly setup especially for my daughter who slept on the sofa bed. Complimentary breakfast was surprisingly broad of options and very tasty. Highly recommended spot to stay of you're discovering Aberdeen.

Conveniently located, close to all transport hubs (bus stations, train station), The biggest 2 malls in Aberdeen, the most comfortable modernly designed rooms and the friendliest staff! What else would you ask for! I have lived in Residence Inn for 6 weeks, and i am going back again for an extended stay for business purposes. It feels like home away from home, staff are very helpful, specially Natasha; she made sure all my requests were fulfilled!

Clean and comfortable hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly and breakfast ok. Only complaint is marriotts overly soft pillows they use everywhere. Only stayed a night, but the small kitchen is a good addition for those on long stays
