   Excellent stay at Leopold Hotel Sheffield. The hotel is stylish, clean and very comfortable, with well-appointed rooms and great attention to detail. The staff were friendly, professional and always helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect, right in the city centre and close to shops, restaurants and attractions. A calm, welcoming atmosphere and great value for money. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.

   Great location for City Hall. We were going to a gig, Lovely old building. Reception warm and staff welcoming. Only one lift working. Room large and stylish. High and comfy bed. Good storage. Bathroom looked good with large shower. Unfortunately the room was cool and with a very cold tiled floor. After the gig we returned to the hotel bar at 11:00pm for a drink. Although officially open until 12:00 there were no Draught beers, the last two bottles of wine were almost empty and the single member of staff began clearing the bar of spirits at 11:30. Customers were clearly unimpressed. What a shame.

   This hotel was perfect for us for a 4 day break in Sheffield whilst visiting our Granddaughter who lives & works there. The location was great for the Christmas Market & many restaurants & bars that were nearby. Our room was clean & comfortable with a lovely view over Leopold Square. The rooms are traditionally furnished which suits the style of the hotel with a very comfortable bed & a good shower. There was a good selection for breakfast & foods are labelled that are suitable for guests with food allergies. The breakfast room doesn't really seem to match the traditional style of the hotel however it is very clean, well run & modern. We will definitely stay here again.

   Room was nice. Had an issue with the shower but that was resolved promptly. Nice comfy bed, bath. Plenty of storage and biscuits provided with the tea and coffee were a nice touch. Reception staff were very friendly, professional and attentive. Breakfast was excellent for the price with good buffet offering. The bar was good, no draft lemonade so lager top was more expensive than anticipated but as we shared a few it worked out ok. The food service offered at the bar was quite disappointing. We understand that it had a limited selection, but in both nights we were there, most of that limited selection wasn't available, so you had a choice of pizza or a starter. On the second day I had the chicken wings(double to make it a main course) my colleague had a fish finger sandwich. I had finished all my meal ten minutes before my colleague eventually got hers. No apology or awareness. That was disappointing but was the only thing that let this place down. I would stay again but find somewhere to eat out for dinner.

   Wonderful staff who are always attentive and helpful. The room was perfect, very clean and tidy and I like their environmental ethos regarding towels (spares in the wardrobe). I slept very well, the bed was so comfy and I could choose the room temperature. There was a large choice of hot and cold options for breakfast. I’m a vegetarian and can recommend the scrambled egg and vegetarian sausages. The staff were excellent and made sure I had everything I needed. I would highly recommend staying here, so much better than a generic hotel.

   I was surprised by how bad my stay was considering the hotel's rating and price. I chose the Leopold because it was right next to my exam centre, plus it was a 4-star. I think that rating is out of date now and definitely not value for money. There was no kettle in the room. Breakfast was served cold on the first day and served late on the second, despite arriving at opening time. The restaurant was closed on the second night and I was told there was no room service available due to lack of staff. I had to work late in the room and was told on arrival I would be able to eat at the hotel that night. After complaining, I was able to order room service (but it was £19 for a microwave meal, essentially). I also didn't get the parking discount due to not being able to obtain a ticket at the car park. I told the hotel and they said they would give me a pass when I left but as it happened there were no passes (it's a very poor system they have in place). The staff were mostly helpful and tried to be accommodating and I wasn't charged for the food. One was a bit snippy with me on check-in when I asked for clarity about the bill. Shower was good.

   Stayed here for a night before seeing a show in Sheffield. The room was amazing, we stayed in one of the Mezzanine Suites. Definitely an experience having your room go 2 levels. The bed was big and comfy and is probably one of the largest rooms every stayed in. Breakfast in the morning was very good, bar was nice to sit in and relax. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Would consider here again in future.

   Great position. City center walking distance from train station. In front of shopping center and restaurants. My room was extremely clean . The heating system was easy to manage. People at the reception were absolutely perfect. Strongly recommend.

   Me and my boyfriend stayed here for his birthday this weekend and had a lovely stay. The bed was amazing comfy and the location was fantastic as it were so close to everything we wanted to do. The hot chocolates were amazing and the £5 gift voucher instead of using house cleaning was a nice touch. The air con was perfect as well and despite being in the city centre and near restaurants we slept amazing and couldn't hear any outside noise. We also visited the Botanist during our stay and the discount for the meal due to staying in the hotel was fantastic as well as the parking discount reducing the cost by a significant amount. Would definitely stay here again, if in Sheffield.
