A disappointing stay. Arrival welcome was very unfriendly and an early check in was given begrudingly...a second staff member saved the day! The promised welcome gift for members never arrived. The room was fine and everything worked well. Location is pretty good although a group of boys being followed by the police tried to emter the gym one morning which was rather worrying. Breakfast was a bit limited compared to other Novotels visited in Britain.

Lovely hotel. Very nice room. Dog friendly to the point they have treats and everything. Very accomodating. All the staff were fantastic, particulary the lovely man who gave us breakfast for free. Will definatly stay again next time in sheffield.

Reception and service was great and convenient on site parking. The first floor layout was great and breakfast fine. However, the room was dated, threadbare carpet, bathroom and loo aged and water was only warm. Bed very comfortable but pillows not great. Overall a good stay just need some TLC in the room.

Hotel in a great location. Easy transport links, close to the city centre. Rooms looking a little tired. Tap dripping in bathroom, light in ceiling had been pushed into cavity, curtains loose at corners. Staff were courteous, helpful and polite. Breakfast was ok, nice choice. Bacon and sausages were cold, but everything else was good. Overall, would I stay here again? Yes, most probably.

Christmas party 9/12/2022 To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Started off quite well but with approximately 100 guests I was disappointed to see there was only one member of staff serving at the bar in the room which the party was being held. This led to queues and long waits to be served. Then the first course of the Christmas meal arrived this was a disappointment, it didn’t get any better the main course turkey was dry and the pigs in blankets tasted like they had been cooked in soap and a veg concoction which to be honest I found unpleasant. Unfortunately if our Christmas party is held here next year I for one will not be attending

Hotel was average, rooms are a bit old style. The location however is great and close to the station and city centre. I made a request at the point of booking for 2 adults (me and my friend). Novotel mentioned at the point of booking that they’d be able to make the adjustment. When I arrived, this was not the case. Not sure why the request did not filter through so this made me a bit disappointed.

Rooms were fine but very outdated, the carpets were filthy, the toilet is separated from the bathroom for some reason and the bed definitely had bed bugs. The food was horrible, the paid breakfast was mediocre at best and the room service food was disgusting. I wouldn’t feed my dog the pizza they served. The service was awful. Very condescending staff giving dirty looks and just always seemed annoyed and unwilling to help and overall just very rude. Location was the only thing going for it otherwise id rather just sleep under a store.

We went for afternoon tea, it was lovely, nice dainty sandwiches, small cake's and scones jam and cream. All very nicely presented. One of our party had dietary requirements and they provided food to cater for their needs. I don't think it will be the last afternoon tea at this venue.

A decent hotel and right in city centre. Bedrooms are big and you get a huge tv, usually a sofa as well as a bed. Lovely bar and reception. The rooms do tend to be rather dark though, with small windows that overlook big buildings but it's not a huge issue for me. It's a city hotel and good as a base for events etc. I've stayed here many times and was disappointed this time to find I can't get breakfast sent to my room. Lunch and dinner, yes. Β£5 tray charge is hefty but worth it when you're a solo diner like me and don't enjoy eating out alone. Every room I've had the toilet is separate to the bathroom but not close to it, but odd and no sink in the toilet area. It's ok just for me but if I were with someone and they were showering then I wouldn't be able to use the loo and wash my hands! Quite a pricey hotel. Around Β£580 for 5 nights, not including any meals. But there is a small swimming pool that I've used before.
