Staff were bad. Ian especially. I had my do not disturb on my door but staff went in anyway. I just got an excuse of mistakes made, no apologies for this, breaching my privacy, I was staying there to be safe from DV and that's the response I got. .. He then asked when you here till!!! No your not your leaving Monday, I asked on what grounds his response, because I can!!! I said IV not been rude nor insulting IV not raised my voice . He said I had a bad attitude which was a total lie, I got an apology from customer service and it had gone to his manager, I asked to speak to his manager his response, we do t listen to head office it's my decision and your out. My response, I hope this makes you happy There was another incident when I booked in. I got told do not bring in a microwave...i asked numerous people if they too had this said to them on booking in, not one person said yes .. can anyone reading this who've stayed there say they'd been told this too . I asked if I coud n I got a very long spiel and welfare check threat ect ect... into why not, was a simple yes/ no answer But yeh pointless . As they just lie and cover their back. Total whole experience was made to feel uncomfortable, they look down at others thinking above you. when all I needed was to feel safe, But in all this I was still never rude to them and I invite the head office to check all cameras to prove this. Thursday the 23rd October. Ian you need help on your customer service skills. If the rule of entry is broken is that how it's dealt with. Do others agree, if your staying there with do not disturb on your door, is that what you expect??? I did and got punished for a breach of my privacy, and them turning it into my bad behaviour which is why this shouldn't be ignored. Yes IV responded to Travelodge after the apology but heard nothing back from them either .very poor staff. Not all though. Just two main ones on reception. Also breakfast Β£9.99 for full which is good. But all I wanted was a slice of toast which they can't offer...strange...

Great hotel, easy to get to and near the shopping centre. Plenty of space in the car park, they have a bar, and a little restaurant, so you can have some hot food in the morning or evening. Rooms were clean and tidy, the downstairs seating area was comfy and looked like it had just been refurbished. Itβs a bit basic in the rooms, but you get what you pay for and found it good value for money

I was really impressed with this place. Given room exactly where required without having to pay the additional charge. Beds very comfy & lovely thick curtains to block out the light. Smashing breakfast & reception staff very helpful. Huge car park & allowed to park there while we shopped after checking out

Let's remember this is a budget hotel. Staff were all welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is clean and in nice condition. Rooms are good value, large, and clean. Location is good for jumping on the tram into Sheffield or for Meadowhall. Coffee not great. Would pay more for decent coffee. Food generally ok. I had some concerns about car park security before arrival but had no issues at all.

Stayed here a whole week from February 28th to Tuesday 7th of March, friendly staff good food however it is quite expensive, my room was lovely nice and clean only issue was my shower handle fell off in my hand 2 days before we left, maintenance went in the same day and put it back though so I can't complain. Quite a good stay, would stay again if needed.

We stayed here for a weekend of activitys. First appearance great big car park, friendly staff, clean reception dinning area & the breakfast and hot/cold drinks were enjoyable as well as plentiful. Easy access to room lifts and stairs. Few negatives the rooms could do with a fresh touch up in places. Also please don't put everyone on same floor had poor sleep from doors banging late at night and early in the morning got woken up both mornings early. Also very cold in the nights but hot in the mornings as the heating comes on. But overall for a short stay was decent.

Brilliant location, excellent service, 2 things let it down. Our room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Customer service dealt with our claim brilliantly. Wish people would be more considerate. We had breakfast.. the bacon was very hard and not enjoyable every other item was lovely.

Booked for 2 days, specially this hotel as it was once known as purple Hotel as such its rooms are slightly bigger and each room varies a little in terms of room size-layout. Both myself and friend have disabilities. He has M.S I have M.E. and fibromyalgia. I booked an acessable room for the layout ie space and bathroom support ie grab rails lower sink etc. Most importantly a room with both a bath and shower as both myself and friend only have wet rooms at home. We booked this room as the bath was one main reason to stay ie for using as rest bit to have Epsom salt baths for pain etc. The room was well thought out, clean, modern and had basic tea coffee, fan, flat screen TV with extra pillows. Also you can request hair dryer and iron I think from reception. We also took advantage of booking a late checkout for extra Β£10 although thus was slightly let down as brief outside maintaince work luckily I was able to get back to sleep. The staff and cleaners are friendly and helpful. The hotel offers breakfast to pre book or buy onside. The breakfast was disappointing would much pref better quality ingredients and pay extra than tasteless poor low value. They also do basic ready meal ,pizza, burger evening meals mon- Fri but we didn't use. There's also bar service too small selection and communal seating in the breakfast/reception area. Overall perfect location as we just wanted to catch a movie at the Meadowhall complex and meal then have day rest bite and recovery. Will deffinatly book again if could have same room. Only issue had was the tel number on booking is charged at over 30p per min!!! Also had issue try to book using website possible glitch. But got there eventually.
