“Great place if you are going to arena 10 minutes away (mobility scooter), Staff helpful friendly polite, Bar was very interesting?, pool table, darts lots more real locals pub, plus a good coffee machine?. Hotel room brilliant sand shower room great kettle plus, telly, all felt new, very good security? I am semi disabled this hotel is not for full disabled???.”

“I had a fantastic stay at Jonas Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed, including a smart TV and en-suite shower. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I loved the free coffee and pastry in the morning, and the location is perfect—quiet, close to the University and Botanical Gardens, with easy access to the city center. Great value for money, and I’d definitely stay here again!”

“At the Christmas party afternoon. We went last year and really enjoyed it. Great food and always nice and hot, impressive how quickly everyone is served. Bingo , disco and a singer. Its a brilliant afternoon.”

“We recently stayed at the Hop Pole Hotel and it was excellent. We had two double rooms and a single room I was in the single and the room was clean, beautifully decorated, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom very spacious and modern. The decor of the hotel fits in well with the building. The staff were friendly and helpful. Compliments to the chef as the breakfasts and evening meals were superb. Everybody was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definately stay here again and bring my husband and son as they do family rooms. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I will be back.”

“Clean and spacious room and bathroom. As is pretty standard now most of the sockets in the room have built in USB chargers, so just being a USB cable with you to charge your phone. Not sure if it was due to the current fuel prices, but it was nice that for once the room wasn't overbearingly hot on arrival. Only downside was that check-in was very slow, it took almost 30 mins (arrived just behind another group).”

“Traveling back from the Dordogne France. We had our touring caravan with us, and 2 dogs. We parked up in the car park, very tired nearly 12 midnight. My husband went to speak to the travel lodge to see if we could spend the night. The gentleman was very pleasant. We spent the night in the caravan it was very quite. I would highly recommend this place. The cost was £15. Thank you”

“Fantastic location for business travel 1 minute from M1 yet all amenities for a hotel stay on doorstep, restaurants, etc. Free and abundant parking for guests. Room was enormous and facilities excellent for a budget hotel. Reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable regarding local area. Had a bit of trouble with swipe access card but staff on hand to help.”

“Wonderful reception Staff. I stay in a lot of Premier inns for work and always get a nice greeting at reception but I have to say the greeting and service I received today was by far the best experience I have ever had. Nothing was to much trouble from the early check in to sorting breakfast the reception staff were helpful and so friendly. Highly recommended”

“Just for the carvery Amazing price (£11.99 at time of writing), with very well cooked meats (pork, lamb, beef) and excellent extras. Cauliflower cheese and mash got best reception with our family. “Truly excellent stay, great value for money the hotel is perfectly situated at the end of the high street so plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. The property is well maintained and beautifully clean. Retford is a cracking little town. Room came with a fan, only real downside is that the room was warm due to no air conditioning however we visited peak of summer.”

“We had our wedding in The Sherwood Suite On Friday 28th November We had the most fantastic day. Our coordinator Charlotte made sure every detail was perfect. Before the wedding we sent several emails to Charlotte changing things asking questions and nothing was too much trouble for her. The day went so lovely and smooth from the ceremony to the final evening buffet. All the team was so friendly and professional. All of the food was delicious we had so many good comments from our guests. “Stopped off here for a night while driving from up north to down south. Really good hotel, staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom was plenty large and the atmosphere of the hotel was very comfortable. Very good breakfast with a nice restaurant area. Great location with a Morrisons across the road, easy access to the motorway and Rotherham only a few minutes drive down the road. Really good price and value for money, especially if you sign up to the free Ibis/Accor membership for members prices. Would recommend!”
