New management has taken over the hotel and bar, and they are doing a great job! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was spacious, with good water pressure. Overall, great value for the price. The manager really looked after us, and the bar was good value too. Would recommend for anyone looking for affordable, comfortable accommodation, with helpful management!

We had lunch at The Norfolk Arms on Thursday the 30th of January. My daughter and I ordered the Pan-Fried Salmon (£19.99 each). We waited 35 minutes. When it arrived it was all overcooked. It seemed as though the food had been cooked and then warmed up. The salmon was dry, the carrots seemed like they were out of a packet as did the broccoli. (I gave half of my salmon to my dog!) The staff serving the food and working the bar were excellent, and the place was cosy and warm. But, our meals were awful. My wife had pie with chips and mushy peas, and she said hers was ok.....I'm just trying to be fair.

Can’t comment on the rooms as haven’t seen them, but was on a walk with family and friends today and we decided to stop here for a refreshment with the kids, as I used to come in a few years ago it was a brilliant place with a brilliant atmosphere. There’s a big sign outside saying under new management…. If that’s what you call it. They couldn’t manage if they tried the service is appalling. I ordered an alcohol free product and was told it was same price as the alcoholic version this is not the case in any other establishment then she started shouting “I will show you the paper work on what we pay for them” she lacked customer service skills and was very high rate and didn’t really know what she was doing, same with the male staff behind the bar, he didn’t know the products (even when in line of sight). The pub was empty nobody in at all except staff, no background music or anything just a tv playing day time tv very loud. Cleanliness is not a thing the pub is dirty and the toilets are even worse. My friends went to the toilet and saw the muck everywhere. I was also appalled at how they charged £4.95 for a kids cone with 1 scoop of ice cream on!! My cousin was charged around £6 too much on her card. They just make things up as they go along…. So sad to see once a good pub go down hill…. It needs closing down or managers what know what they are doing!

Brilliant stay, food was delicious and hot also the staff are very welcoming and friendly, rooms are spacious, warm and cosy. Lovely nights sleep. When visiting again I will be sure to book here. Location was perfect for us but, if you want to go into Sheffield you would need to drive.

We are currently staying at the Norfolk Arms, rooms are of such a high class, beautifully decorated with a warm feeling to them, impeccably clean and spacious, the service always comes with a smile from the pleasant and helpful staff and this is complimented with the excellent service and delicious tasting Menu. We have so far enjoyed the Mexican burger which was bursting with flavor and very well presented, the fish and chips and chilli which were also equally delicious. Whether you are looking to enjoy a meal with friends, family or colleagues or an overnight stay, the Norfolk Arms is a must visit.
