“Fantastic place to stay with the kids if your visits the theme park. We stayed ina themed room and the kids loved it. Food on site is decent. Staff were really friendly. Makes things a whole lot easier staying in site.”

“Lovely rooms, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom with White Company toiletries. I gave 4 stars for room as would have expected a Nespresso (similar) coffee machine. Parking is first come first served basis in the car park opposite; £1 for 6pm to 8am and then you need to pay daily charges so I'd suggest downloading the pay to park app. From 3pm to 12 noon cost £11 in parking charges. We parked easily but it was low season. Friendly check in but there wasn't anyone on reception at checkout and the place isn't staffed overnight but there is a contact number you can ring if there are issues, hence 4 stars. Breakfast very nice in coffee shop attached to hotel, 10% discount for hotel guests and £15 each for a very generous full English breakfast with a drink. Would recommend both café and hotel.”

“We dined at the Rutland Arms in Bakewell on 6th November. The dining room is outstanding and matched by food which is cooked to perfection and service provided by a team who cares for their guests. The menu is very well priced. The venue also has a fab bar to pop in for a drink or coffee. I wholeheartedly recommend you visit and you won't be disappointed.”

“Very clean and cosy room, very comfy bed, owner greeted us on arrival, 100% professional and extremely welcoming. Definitely staying here again. Hotel is on the main road but not too noisy as quality windows installed. Free WiFi, USB ports on sockets, amazing shower. My partner and I have stayed in big chain hotels previously and although they were marginally cheaper (on average between £2-£15) the quality and comfort of the Kellett Hotel surpasses them all.”

“We have always enjoyed our visits to this lovely house in a peaceful setting close to local amenities and the countryside. It is tastefully decorated and well maintained with everything required for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The kitchen is very well equipped, the 5 bedrooms, out door space and lawn make it ideal for intimate family gatherings or celebrations or for a relaxing break with friends. It is easy to find, hand over is simple and both the Owner and the manager of the property couldn't be more helpful or considerate.”

“My room was comfortable and clean. It had plenty of tea, coffee, etc. Had a smart tv and a decent shower. The ladies in the bar were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast the next morning was tasty and good value at £7.95 for a small, including a hot drink. A couple of minor negatives are. The hireable venue opposite may keep people awake for a while. It depends on how much of a light sleeper you are. Also, the room was really bright early in the morning.”

“Called into the Restaurant for a drink after a long walk around the Lake. Although the restaurant was busy the staff were attentive, polite, in Xmas spirit and the atmosphere felt festive and warm.”

“This is my 4th visit to the Premier. Always the friendliest greeting. Jill was on reception & I must say she is a credit to the Hotel, with her warm smile and welcoming conversation, nothing is too much trouble for her, also this was the 1st time i have had breakfast. We had the all you can eat continental. Porridge was lovely as was the pancakes. We were looked after by the lovely Bernie, who again couldn't have looked after us more. Another credit to the hotel. Definitely the only place I'll stay when visiting Doncaster.”

“The hotel was lovely, it smelled fresh and clean on arrival. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was ample, the beds were very comfortable with a choice of soft or hard pillows. The hotel had free Wi-Fi. The shower was hot a powerful. The hotel is very strict about the rules of having a dog. The breakfast was self service and plenty to choose from, hot breakfast, cereals, pastry's. Our room was overlooking a busy road, we heard the traffic most of the night. Overall - excellent hotel, we would definitely stay here again (but chose a different room location).”

“I don't normally write reviews but I felt I should on this occasion. We booked a three night break for our 40th Wedding anniversary first time at Thoresby Hall and a Warner break. We knew there were re refurbishments and the Spa was closed but decided to go ahead. Totally relaxed in the peace and serenity of the grounds and slept so well. The Manor House Suite was beautiful never had a bit of luxury like that. We ate very well and enjoyed The Blu Room which is stunning. I realise it's all about opinions and this is our honest findings. I also believe if they had closed the hotel completely while refurbishment that people's jobs would have been affected and the hotel provides work for a lot of local people. Thank you for a lovely experience hope we're lucky enough to re visit in the future.”

“Stayed in suite 10 for one night, it was ready early and we were allowed late checkout too. Staff were lovely and really helpful, the rooms were really spacious and clean, lovely terrace too! Bed was really comfortable and massive. Fan provided in the room. Bar and restaurant were lovely and the breakfast was fantastic with a lovely selection. Close to the car boot as literally next door! Don't be put off by the motorway noise as there was none! Will definitely stay again”

“Lovely spacious dining room. High ceilings, light and comfortable. We had Sunday carvery. There was the choice of 4 different joints plus, steak and dumplings and beef pie. We opted for the dumplings which were delicious. Great selection of veg and creamy/veg dishes, really nice. I have no complaints at all. The staff were lovely too.”

Room wasn't quite ready as we were a little early so he managed to find us one that was ready - rooms very clean tidy and comfortable would recommend anyone coming to the area to stay here .”

“Stayed at the Hasland as doing a training course in the area , couldn't fault the place at all , rooms clean , people lovely especially Debbie and the other lady I think her name was shirley , the pork pie and pickles from the bar were excellent . Definently be back Thank you for a lovely stay .”

“We had an evening meal here and very much enjoyed. The food was delicious and worth the price. The atmosphere is lovely here, especially sitting outside in the summer. When seated inside we were provided table service which was very efficient. The staff were polite and friendly. We will definitely be returning.”

“We are staying at this Premier Inn for a family holiday. The rooms are immaculate, fantastic setting, only a 10 minute walk into Matlock town centre. It's a lovely, quiet location. All of the staff have been amazing, nothing has been too much trouble. Tammy gave us a lovely welcome on arrival, Daniel has been fantastic helping us with a change of room (our fault on booking) The staff working on breakfast service and evening meals were fantastic. The breakfast choice is great. Zeb served us at breakfast and evening meal and both times, even though he was really busy, he was really polite and friendly. He really is a credit to the company, great level of service. I can highly recommend this Premier Inn and Matlock is a beautiful place to visit, plenty to see and explore.”

“Just stayed at the Cubley Hall Hotel overnight whilst biking across the Trans Pennine Way. Our group of three arrived, tired & soaked wet through - the hotel staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Bikes were stored securely, restaurant stayed open a little later due to our arrival time and John, (I think that was his name) was great in sorting the drying of clothes and serving us drinks He's a credit to the Hotel - Thank you so much”

“Just been here for dinner with friends. Service was great, food excellent, we all had rump steak which was cooked to perfection. Nice choice of dessert, we shared cheese cake and enjoyed our drinks. The prices were reasonable and the surroundings are really lovely. We look forward to our next visit.”

“stayed for 2 nights, everything you need in the hotel and a good price too. Shared bathrooms were always clean and nicely done up. Free parking out back. Heating could be turned up or down in my room (no set temp which was really nice). Cosy bed. Great bar downstairs with lovely staff, which serves food until 8pm. Doesn't do breakfast (only google maps seems to think this, their website and other booking sites don't say they do either) but lots of affordable cafes in Worksop within walking distance that do a proper fry up. Can't fault it, and much friendlier place to stay than a premier inn etc.”
