Went here with my family just for breakfast. My two lads are vegans and asked Tammy on the desk and Katie the chef if there were any options. We had arrived just 10 mins before breakfast was scheduled to finish, and so there wasn't much left, but Katie made my two lads a brilliant breakfast just for them with all the vegan ingredients they needed. Zeb was super friendly and between them they made the whole event - which was originally just a quick breakfast as were passing through - a thoroughly lovely part of our day. Recommend 10/10. Incredible staff!

Stayed here 9 years ago, and stayed again last month. The rooms are clean and basic, budget friendly. Comfortable beds, TV and a bath in this room. The staff are helpful and the self-check in/out is a bonus - nice not having to wait around. The bathroom needs a bit of TLC but it's to be expected at a budget option such as Premier Inn, i.e. could do with some new sealant. It was spotless which is the main thing. The location is great - close to Matlock but far enough away that it's not noisy at night. Would stay again.

A great hotel for exploring Matlock and the surrounding area. Easy self service check in and check out. Free parking on site. There is a restaurant on site too but I didn't use this. It was busy in the morning however, so breakfast must be popular. The room I stayed in was perfectly fine. It was dated and could do with a bit of a makeover but had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I stayed on the top floor but still could hear next door and the corridor later at night so soundproofing isn't the best. The bathroom could use the most improvement but it was nice to have a bath in a hotel room for once. Only awkward point was that the plug sockets weren't in the best of locations. I have mains plug that is long downwards and if one of the bedside tables didn't pull away from the wall I wouldn't have been able to plug in anywhere. Overall though a nice little place to stay if you're going walking or exploring the area. It's in a great location.

Comfortable. Several buttons were missing on the heating controller so we could only choose 23c or 24c. It was v warm and the windows don't open. Nice restaurant although lots of items unavailable. The breakfast is excellent.

We are staying at this Premier Inn for a family holiday. The rooms are immaculate, fantastic setting, only a 10 minute walk into Matlock town centre. It's a lovely, quiet location. All of the staff have been amazing, nothing has been too much trouble. Tammy gave us a lovely welcome on arrival, Daniel has been fantastic helping us with a change of room (our fault on booking) The staff working on breakfast service and evening meals were fantastic. The breakfast choice is great. Zeb served us at breakfast and evening meal and both times, even though he was really busy, he was really polite and friendly. He really is a credit to the company, great level of service. I can highly recommend this Premier Inn and Matlock is a beautiful place to visit, plenty to see and explore.

Remember to register your car details when you arrive..... Nice hotel. Well located for us. 2 night we stayed. Normal range of hot buffet breakfast on the mornings. It was quite busy both days so bare with the busy kitchen staff. Could do with new toasters, they took an age to make toast. Room was great comfortable bed and blackout blinds so remember to set your alarm clock...

We arrived late evening so didn't use the Restaurant which is a Thyme Restaurant. Room was a typical Premier Inn room. It was warm and the windows will not open so had to fiddle around with the heating to cool the room down. We went for Breakfast just after 9 am and there was no wait for a table. The buffet style breakfast was excellent as was the service from the lady running the restaurant and the chef behind the counter. If in the area would use this hotel again

I had good good stay. I was stung with walk-in rate, otherwise wonderful. The staff was customer facing, professional, helpful. Good parking. I felt safer in Matlock than a bigger city up the road. A dark haired saw to exemplary to my needs above and beyond the call of duty. I was in room 5

The rooms are exactly what I want: comfortable bed, coffee and tea, quiet, unpretentious, everything works without frustrations. Breakfast was great. Despite staying during a bank holiday weekend, the price was very reasonable. It's a little walk from Matlock's centre, but I enjoyed walking from the hotel to High Tor and Matlock Baths. The automated check-in was straight-forward and check-out was a breeze, but there was no customer service at reception. I was discouraged from having dinner because they were understaffed, but I appreciated the honesty and enjoyed dinner elsewhere.
