1. Wild Ways Bushcraft & Survival Skills ★★☆☆☆

   It is with regret that I have to leave this review as I believe nobody should have to experience what my wife went through on a recent visit. I should point out I was there on business not a customer. On the first occasion my wife who is disabled and also autistic managed to get her car stuck on some mud, a member of staff said he would assist which was good, however when he returned to my wife after saying he needed something to cut some rope he proceeded to leave her and say he had finished and was going home. The second visit a member of the reception team was extremely rude an discourteous to my wife and completely unprofessional for someone who works in the service industry. Both these matters were reported and as far as I am aware nothing was done about it. I won't be returning.

   Absolutely fantastic hotel. The staff, the grounds, the rooms and the food are all top notch. The room we stayed in had a huge glass roof and it felt very luxurious. I wouldn't hesitate to stop there again.

   I were there due to a funeral, but what I saw was so beautiful. The mansion was set up for Christmas and when you walk into the lobby there's an log fire ablaze. Christmas trees and bubbles. I would have loved to be staying there but alas it was only for a few hours. The garden and the lawns look inviting for a winter walk and especially if there's snow/frost on the ground.

   We visited today for an afternoon tea and although the was lovely and fresh, the coffee was beautiful it was a guess what your eating experience, no one advised us of the sandwich fillings or the assortment of small tarts or the flavourless cheesecake, who knew that 2 out of the 4 scones were cheese ? As previously noted the coffee was beautiful and was worth every penny but would have been even better if it was served with cream and not milk.

   Thank you so much for making our wedding day on August 16, 2025, an absolutely unforgettable experience. We especially want to give a massive shout-out to the incredible Angela, who is truly a diamond. She was always on hand to help, and her bubbly, approachable personality made the whole planning process so much smoother and more enjoyable. The day ran perfectly, and that’s a testament to the entire staff. Every single person we interacted with was brilliant and incredibly helpful. We’ve received countless compliments from our guests about the food, which was nothing short of exceptional. Everyone was so impressed with the quality and presentation. Everything we needed was taken care of, and we are so glad we chose Aston Hall for our special day. The beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, and impeccable service were all perfect. Thank you again for everything. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or a more wonderful team to help us start our married life together.

   Freddie Mercury tribute evening. Great time had by all. Two course meal included. Lovely venue, pleasant and friendly staff. Although Adam Lambert has nothing to fear, this guy had everyone joining in with singing and dancing. Alcohol is not overpriced and the tickets were £120 for 4 people which is great value for money.

   Comfortable room in the old part of the original house. Despite the bedroom having been refreshed recently, the bathroom still needed a bit of TLC, it was clean but there was a broken floor tile in front of the sink and the mastic around the sink and bath needed more work. Bed however was comfortable and despite being above the front door/reception area was very quiet. Only had breakfast, which was well presented.

   It was a Soul &Motown night, With a meal beforehand. Brilliant, is an understatement. It was my wife's birthday earlier in the week, and some friends also wanted to come with us to celebrate. Meal was lovely,just enough not to be full,so as you can't dance. The music and disco was truly amazing. Loved it ,it was very busy,and I can see why. Definitely recommend the experience.

   The rooms are large with lovely furnishings. Very clean,well done to the staff. It's the wrong time of year to explore the gardens, we really must visit in the spring/summer. The reception staff are well mannered and friendly. Food presentation was good but could be slightly hotter. (We do like hot meals) Hot plates were a bonus. We can see why this is a great venue for a Wedding!

   We got married on 12/12/22, it was an amazing experience. I couldn’t recommend Aston Hall enough! We were originally getting married at Aston in 2020 but with covid we decided to not go ahead, so instead we decided 7 months ago to go ahead again and book our wedding day, instantly Aston Hall was the top of our list! From the moment we walked into the building they made you feel extremely welcome, answered any questions we had, let us set up the day before as they had no other events on, added a few little bits for us in our ceremony room and they made it look gorgeous! It really was our dream wedding! The staff members are absolutely amazing! They were fun, easy going and it didn’t feel like it was just a job to them, it’s something they do with pride! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, it’s clean, warm and everything you could ever ask for! The food was amazing, none of our guests had a complaint what so ever! It was extremely magical and if I could do it all over again, I would and I wouldn’t have changed a thing! Thank you Aston Hall for giving us the best experience, customer service and the most magical wedding day!
