   The so-called 'Landlord' likes to intimidate lone young mothers picking their toddlers up from the nursery next door. Them using the carpark is not ideal, but what kind of man thinks intimidating mothers with children is acceptable? There are no cars in your stinking pub anyway.

   My band was booked to play live music on the Saturday night. We turned-up with a full PA and backline to be told we had been cancelled. This was news to everyone in the band! There are better ways to spend a Saturday evening. To add insult to injury, people who came specifically to see our band were told that we had cancelled the gig!

   Very warm, friendly staff and regulars, proper family pub. The Sunday carvery not to be missed, sometimes there can be a short wait but it's well worth the wait, the Stones Bitter is a revelation, takes you back to good old days

   Went here for my Daughter's 30th Birthday Meal and had a very enjoyable meal. The chef even catered for my Daughter's partner who is a vegetarian with non meat gravy and veggie stuffing. Plentiful portions even though we had standard and small carvery.
