Excellent service from the manager when checking us in, really friendly and helpful. Room was super clean and tidy too and had everything you could need. Comfy bed, peaceful nights sleep, and check out was smooth. I was even greeted by the really friendly cleaner too. Very pleasantly surprised, would highly recommend. 5 stars.

Our first visit to the area and it was enjoyed. Although our room was on the first floor with no lift, we will be back but ask for an accessible room next time due to our mobility issues. The room was large and cosy, firmer bed than home but was comfortable. Great location, quite quiet next to the canal. The Marston pub was very close by with easy access for wheelchairs. All staff was helpful and friendly. They served a good hearty breakfast. And best of all the accommodation was good value for money.Large carpark for the pub, as well a carpark at the rear for the hotel. Access to the Lock keeper is just off the main road. Disabled access via all doors. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially the young man whom booked us in. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the carvery, me however being a vegetarian i thought the deck lacked other vegetables. And we both thought the potatoes were a little hard. I had the apple crumble, but I felt it was more like stewed apple and custard, I didn't see or taste any crumble topping. But it did have lashings of yummy custard.

Booked this room online. We looked at the times food stopped that evening as we knew it would be later on as it was our wedding. We arrived at 7pm to be told that they was shutting food early due to staff training but we had not been told this before booking or it was never stated online. So on our wedding night we had to get a another taxi to a different restaurant for food and by the time we got somewhere it was quarter to nine. I also booked this room due to it being attached to a restaurant and I had discount but due to early closure was unable to use this. Not a great end to my wedding day due to no communication from the hotel.

A Yearly Retreat: Outstanding Service and Food at The Lockeeper We've made The Lockeeper at Worksop our annual go-to for business trips, and every year it continues to impress. The hotel itself is great, the food is lovely, and the staff are consistently friendly and accommodating, creating a wonderful family-friendly pub atmosphere. While the entire team is fantastic, one person in particular stands out: Emily. She has truly gone above and beyond the call of duty during each of our stays. The first year, we were struggling to find the hotel and she patiently guided us with directions over the telephone. The next year, we were running late and would have missed the kitchen closing time, but Emily took our food order over the phone and kept it warm for us until we arrived. This level of care and accommodation is what sets The Lockeeper apart. I highly recommend this hotel, not just for business travellers but for anyone looking for a nice night away with good food and a welcoming atmosphere. Emily and the team always make us feel right at home.

Staff were helpful. Room was clean and aired. Drinks selection was good and the food was as expected (almost). My Mac n Cheese was not served up as stated in the menu. I would also like to add that as I stayed on my own the room was good but the bed was actually broken on the other side. If I had been staying with my wife I would have insisted on a different room. Why hasn't the room been taken out of service?

Check-in was nice and easy. Room clean and tidy on arrival. Booked room and breakfast online and this process was extremely smooth. Had a meal the bar on Saturday evening, unfortunately first choice wasn't available. Breakfast was cooked fresh.

The hotel itself is set back from the restaurant, it is furnished to a nice standard and very clean, you have everything you need for a over night stay in your room, the full English breakfast is extra but you get discount for paying when you book and I would say it’s worth the money, it was nicely cooked and plenty of it, the restaurant is lovely, good priced meals and decent sized portions, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble! They all have a smile on their faces. We stayed at a very busy time and the staff work so very hard! Well done to them all. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will 100% be booking again

Me and my family were booked in for a wedding, check in was easy and Elise made sure that we were given all the information we needed as some of the guests were checking in late and wasn’t sure how it would work. The room itself was modern clean and perfect for what we were needing! We never knew the Lockkeeper existed but looking at some of the reviews it’s definitely somewhere we will be staying when we come back again. Some of us came down for breakfast in the morning, it was fresh and served quickly and an added bonus the continental was included into the price! Overall fantastic stay and we will definitely be visiting The Lockkeeper again.

A very friendly pub and a clean, neat and tidy Hotel. A mistake had been made on the booking, not the hotels fault, and the staff were friendly and helpful with resolving it despite the fact that they were busy. Happy to recommend them.
