My family and I love it here. Its less than an hour away but it feels like you're miles away. We love being amongst the trees in the beautiful forest, it's so relaxing. I can definitely recommend having a hot tub especially in the winter..... its gorgeous to sit and relax gazing up at the stars.. The lodges are well equipped, cosy an me comfortable and all the staff are really friendly. This was our 6th or 7th time so must be good!

I recently stayed for a long weekend to celebrate a family birthday, we all had a great time, the lodges were excellent and all the onsite facilities were great- we used the soft play, archery, swimming and enjoyed a great meal at the Foresters Arms as well as many lovely walks. On departure we unfortunately left behind a couple of items of our young sons clothing, once we realised this and contacted the team in reception they were great and couldn’t have been more helpful in arranging a parcel and getting these items back to us, especially Hannah who arranged this for us. A big thankyou to everyone there and we certainly hope to return soon.

Absolutely stunning location with superb accommodation. Have returned about 4 times now. The cleanliness of the lodges is 5 star. The beds are comfortable and the inside of the lodges extremely comfortable with everything you might need for self catering. The walks around the complex in the forest are great and there is a restaurant on site which serves delicious food and the staff are courteous and very efficient. There is also a shop on site for daily essentials.

Absolutely fantastic place. Highly recommend here. We stayed in one of the Glade lodges. It was fantastic! Very well equipped. There was even a tv in the bath in one of the en-suites. It had 4 bedrooms. A massive living room with kitchen and dining table. A games room with a pool table and a PS5. This looked out onto the hot tub which was huge. The fridge/freezer is a great size too. Our lodge had room for 3 cars to park too. The staff were fantastic! Any issues were very quickly resolved. Overall the lodge was very clean. Great location aswell with walks in the resort itself and it’s in a great location for short drives to attractions nearby. It’s about 55 mins from Alton Towers too.

Darwin forest lodges is a brilliant self catering lodges. The Lodge had everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean. They is a swimming pool, soft play area. Golf, spa, pool table, restaurant. The staff are very friendly and if you need help with anything they well help you. They is some lovely walks which is easy for small children. I would very highly recommend it.

Everything was excellent for a family with a 3 year old and a 7 year old. The environment was lovely with endless trails and incredibly quiet. The lodge was toasty warm, very well equipped, comfortable, really clean and, again, wonderfully quiet. The swimming pool, jet ski session and activity soft play area were perfect. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - a great 4 days.

Lovely place and lodges were large, just bit disappointed that 3 people supposedly cleaned our lodge but was very mucky under beds and sofas, didn't go searching for it was found when kids lost toys under said items..floor didn't looks as if been washed either as could see marks/footprints on it as entered. Excellent hot tub maintenance though, that was very impressive indeed!

Absolutely first class lodges with hotel quality linen and towels provided, all in beautiful woodland. So peaceful, lovely woodland walks and a joy to watch the wildlife through the windows. This weekend was bonfire night and a magnificent bonfire complete with guy lit and safely protected with accompanying fireworks. Magnificent!! Look forward to returning.

Spent a great week with our son, his wife and their two young children. It's a lovely site, which is very well maintained with lots of walks and facilities - especially for young children. The lodge itself was immaculate and very comfortable. There are lots of things to do in the area, although you'll definitely need a car. So why only 4 stars? You have to pay for some of the facilities (which is, to be fair, mentioned on the website) so you can end up spending quite a bit extra - especially when the little ones want to go in the soft play every day! What I do think is a little unfair is that these facilities are also open to non residents and, for instance, on our first day there we had to wait 45 minutes to enter the soft play as it was busy with a party of local children. We were also a little disappointed in The Foresters restaurant - the waiting staff were very polite and helpful, but we waited almost an hour for a very average meal for the family when the place was less than half full. It's clear they are struggling to get kitchen staff as limited bookings were being taken. Overall though, we had a very enjoyable holiday.

Nicest lodge accommodation we've stayed in. Immaculately clean and very well equipped. We stayed in in a 2 bed lodge with a hot tub which was lovely! Staff all very nice and helpful - the toaster in our lodge was broken and maintenance had replaced it with a new one by the time we walked back from reception. Great location for exploring the Peak District. We would definitely return.
