Made to feel very welcome from the moment we checked in. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Very nice little camp ground. Facilities very clean with plenty of hot water. Shower's are very good. We will be going back again.

We had high hopes for this site as it had lots of good reviews, the country park is on your doorstep which is ideal for dog walking but it’s not a patch of Ferry Meadows, another country park, which is very peaceful and huge in comparison. The area is quite industrialised and the worst thing in my view is the constant drone of heavy agricultural or industrial equipment nearby which seems to be every weekday starting around 7:30am, it may not bother some but it did me. The site itself is well managed and well kept and generally up to the usual high club standards although I feel a better fence around the site would give the site a more secure feel, there’s just a small wire fence separating the site from the the country park. It’s the first site I’ve felt a need to close up the awning and set the van alarm when we go out. Irrational? maybe, but that’s how we felt. The wardens though are friendly and hardworking and although the site is a great base for visiting Bakewell and Chatsworth it’s probably not one we would return to.

We've sayed here three times now and find the site absolutely wonderful. The toilet block is spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. Mark and Tracey are amazing at keeping things spick and span throughout the park. They are so helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble in making your stay enjoyable. Brilliant site and definitely 5*

Very slow service. Food is ok but nothing special. Opening hours seem completely random. Never know if it's going to be open or not. No signage. Website says it's open but when you get there it's closed. Outside tables were still wet through at 2,pm after overnight rain. Doesn't take 5 mins to wipe them down but the staff don't seem bothered.

Went for a walk by myself other day, nice and peaceful. Took my partner there and she loved it. She's passed now but nice memories.

Typical CAMC site. Very well maintained and excellent facilities. The staff are helpful and accommodating. The Country Park is not the biggest but it's a lovely place to walk around and there's plenty of coarse fishing. There's a nice cafe with good coffee, sandwiches and snacks. The area around the park isn't the most salubrious and I didn't find anything more than basic cheap restaurants and pub-grub. I will go back.
