Hotel in Worksop

“Hired a Luton van recently for the day. I booked over the phone and they took all my details which meant when I arrived they didn’t need anything further. Arrived around 11am on the Friday morning. The staff processed me promptly and the guys showed me how everything worked on the vehicle (tail lift etc). As I was bringing the van back the following morning they offered to bring my car into the compound overnight. The vehicle performed as expected. Despite it being very busy the following morning at 8am I again was processed very quickly. I have to say i have I’ve never come across a better vehicle hire company to deal with. No messing around having to sort my own insurance. To add to this the price was the cheapest. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Worksop Van Hire or to use them again. Congratulations”

“Absolutely amazing, I cannot recommend them enough We had a wedding on Saturday the Tommys wife (I didn't catch her name) was amazing and we laughed the whole way there, Then at the end of the night Tommy picked us up and I can well and truly say we have never laughed so much in a taxi before 10/10 recommend”

“I chose Martin and Co once Carly came round to value our house. She was friendly approachable and listened when I said I didn’t want all the sales pitch spiel. She came in explained what happened and left it at that. No pressure at all. We had 2 sales with them, both Carly and Sarah went above and beyond contacting both buyers regularly and sorting out numerous issues we had with the buyers. I highly recommend Martin and Co Worksop especially Carly and Sarah they were fab.”

“stayed for 2 nights, everything you need in the hotel and a good price too. Shared bathrooms were always clean and nicely done up. Free parking out back. Heating could be turned up or down in my room (no set temp which was really nice). Cosy bed. Great bar downstairs with lovely staff, which serves food until 8pm. Doesn't do breakfast (only google maps seems to think this, their website and other booking sites don't say they do either) but lots of affordable cafes in Worksop within walking distance that do a proper fry up. Can't fault it, and much friendlier place to stay than a premier inn etc.”

She was attentive without being intrusive, always anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. “The shower facilities are amazing. Perfect temperature amd water pressure. The beds are extremely comfortable. The location gas plenty of parking spaces. A particular mention the wonderful Pamela on reception, her attitude was immensely patient especially whilst dealing with our late check-in. She went above and beyond to accommodate our last minute room change request despite having to attend to other guests queries. Her kind nature made this stay truly exceptional and worth every penny in value.”

“We thoroughly appreciated our one night stay at this absolutely beautifully presented & spacious bed & breakfast/annexe . It’s the attention to detail that set it apart for us. The freshly baked bread was wonderful too . Driveway a little uneven but appreciated a place to park when we arrived . Highly recommend & wish we could have stayed longer”

“What a place, we came here a few years ago and had a great time then….and the site has been improved further since to make it even more comfortable and luxurious. The new tents are large and homely, the kitchen areas attached to each area are well kitted out and the amenities and indoor areas around the site in case of bad weather have grown. Will be keen to come back again :)”

“Been with oakwood many years but my recent inspection with Lorna was brilliant. Took her time and was thorough and listened to any issues we had and we received an email promptly with work to be carried out. Brilliant service from her and from my landlord arranging the help. Overall we have always been happy, but an extra thanks to Lorna for her brilliant and thorough work she carried out.”

“Nice/pub/restaurant/inn. Good rooms, plenty of parking, quite road which was originally the A1 up till 1960, now bypassed so it is quiet. Large garden with children's play area at the back. A good selection of meals available, mainly around £15 to £20. A good place to stop if you are travelling from London to the Lake District/Northumberland/Edinburgh.”

“What a lovely campsite in such a beautiful location. The campsite is pristine with what looks like newly refurbished toilet and shower block (Limetree). The campsite is located within Clumber Park. There is something for everyone here. I enjoyed 2 days of hiking the trails around the lake and wider park. There is a cafe trailer at the top of the lake about a 1.5 mile walk from the site. The main cafe within the National Trust complex in the park is about 2 miles from the site. The walking is easy as it is mostly flat. I will definitely be returning here.”

“JUST WOW!! The food here is absolutely divine!! All the dishes we ordered were flavoursome. The ONLY downside is it’s nearly 3 hours from London. I would definitely come back.”

“Had a phenomenal time here last weekend with my good friends. Good value for money, each lodge comes with its own TV and WiFi router (15mbps down / 31mbps up / 92ms) so can stream YouTube perfectly fine and great for entertainment. There’s a lovely café and shop on-site where you can buy snacks. There lodge itself has a hot shower and is modern and cosy. Really nice location”
