“We absolutely loved our stay in Penny Hut this weekend. The hut was so warm and cosy even in the snow! Everything has been carefully thought about and it was a lovely touch with the birthday banner, chocolates and fresh eggs. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thanks!!!”

We brought a couple of guinea pigs To be looked after one underweight and another absolutely fine recovering after a tumour operation and both look like they had a better holiday than me! “Dib always has the best time at Hound Hall - next level dog care. As a dog that can be reactive with new people it’s a testament to the lovely nature of Emz that he felt safe with her as soon as he met her. Lost track of the number of times he’s been here since we found Hound Hall. But we wouldn’t dream of sending him anywhere else.”

“Me and my housemates had a great experience living here. The property was in a great location (shops, train station, and bus stops all in walking distance) and the rent was very reasonable. Sami, the landlord, was friendly and always quick to respond to our calls and fix any issues we had, with great communication throughout our stay. Definitely recommend this property to students.”

“This is a 5 star + cattery I cannot thank them enough for their dedication and commitment to providing a home from home experience. I just picked my kitty up and they even remembered she’d left one of her toys behind after the last stay and popped it in her bag . Well done to the team I have no anxiety about leaving my fur baby here .”

“The best yard I have ever been on! Mike and Nick have been fantastic over the past 4 years I have been a livery client. The horses always have the best standard of care, Mike and Nick are ALWAYS on hand to help with anything - nothing is too much for them. They have been extremely helpful to me after my horse needed nearly a year of rehab work. Cannot fault any part of this yard. The facilities are amazing, the stables and fields are extremely well kept, all the staff are knowledgeable and willing to lend a hand if needed.”

“We had our wedding reception here in July. We chose Goldstone as all the staff were very relaxed and accommodating - it didn't feel like a wedding factory. They catered to all our needs and nothing was too much to ask. They were responsive to our many many emails in the lead up to the day. On the day everything ran smoothly and we were subtly guided by the staff. All our guests had a wonderful time, they really enjoyed exploring the gardens and were very complimentary about the food (those with dietary requirements felt very catered for). The rooms were large and comfortable and guests all said they had a great night sleep. We would 100% recommend here for a wedding or special event.”

“What a wonderful stay we had at The Tawny.We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere special,where we could relax in nature. The meet and greet was great with Darren taking us to the Glade shepherd hut.A charming guy and extremely friendly. The service throughout was attentive but unpretentious We were particularly impressed with front of house during our 2 evening meals in the Plumbicorn restaurant. “Receptionist was super helpful at check in. Everything explained well. Very clean. Everything you'd want from a room. Car parking was perfect. Breakfast was also great. Tesco express open til late was 1 min walk away. Overall a top place to stay.”

“We had our wedding at Biggin Hall on 4th July, and it honestly exceeded all expectations. We chose Biggin Hall not just because of the stunning setting but because Paris and Andy actually listen to what you want from your day. For us it was a simple outdoor ceremony in their absolutely beautiful gazebo, dinner for us and 25 guests followed by drinks in the evening/outdoor games and time with our friends and family. We were fairly relaxed about the structure of the day, but even so, nothing was too much trouble - slight alterations to the wine list, organising Jonathan (the amazing pianist) to play while we ate, ensuring the tables were perfectly laid, and communicating everything to us perfectly both in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding and on the day. All the staff were phenomenal from start to finish: warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making everything run smoothly. The food was beyond delicious – beautifully presented and praised by every guest we spoke to. Our guests were able to choose from a choice of 3 starters, mains and desserts and the food came out perfect and the portion sizes suited even the hungriest of our guests. The breakfasts are just amazing as well. Our friends and family talk about what an absolutely first class weekend it was. We feel so lucky to have celebrated our day in such a special place. Special thanks to Paris and Andy for always making us feel so welcome and at home. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

“We came for the Sunday lunch carvery, generous portions, home cooked and really good. The pub is a ‘proper’ pub , cosy and welcoming will come again .”

“We booked a spa day for four of us in November and loved every second. The facilities were immaculate, spacious and varied. There was so much to do and most importantly, the spa wasn't packed ridiculously full so you could actually enjoy it. The drinks, food and service were all great and the treatment was fantastic. Genuinely couldn't fault the team working and the spa itself, it was beautiful and the team were constantly walking round tidying blankets etc. and as you couldn't reserve the large beds, there was always availability too. I think the one slight issue (and this is being really picky) was that there was nowhere for the towels to dry so they ended up soaking wet by the end of the day but it's the smallest issue and didn't affect our enjoyment of the day at all. We're already looking at a date to come back.”

“Needed hotel as visiting family near by, this was in an excellent location. Alsager is a lovely town, we visited a lovely bakers and had a lovely lunch. Also pubs and couple of restaurants nearby for evening meals. If you like national trust, there's a quaint place called Little Morton Hall worth a visit. The hotel was run by lovely people, and the breakfast can't be faulted. We will definitely stay there again”

“Very delicious, authentic Thai food set in a beautiful pub-like setting (if you're looking for pub food, that would be at the Talbot pub next door). The food appealed to both first timers and fans of Thai food. Service was exceptional, and they were dog-friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.”

“Wonderful welcome. Very large comfortable bedrooms and superb food! A fabulous place that we will return to regularly. The landlady and landlord and fabulous team make sure every guest is happy. Whether visiting for a drink, food or overnight stay you will not be disappointed. The food portions are huge but save room for the lovely homemade desserts too!!”

“The rooms around the back are cosy-sized but very comfortable. I stayed on a drizzly Wednesday night so there was no one sat outside the back of the pub and it was very quiet - can't say how quiet it would be on a Saturday night. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. They had my cooked breakfast ready when I came down in the morning as they knew I needed to leave early, and they locked my bike in a secure room and had it out ready in the morning without me having to ask. Just be aware that if you come by train, it's at the top of the hill!”

“Food is unbelievable it was really quiet went a pub for food had no tables the Crewe’s arms for a first time coming had plenty room and the nicest pub food I’ve eaten atmosphere was Dull but we had fun ourselves with pool and a check board and darts just 10/10 loved it thanks again Skye was excellent customer service too!!!!!”
