“I wouldn't choose anywhere else for my bunny Hagrid to stay, and the same goes for all my previous rabbits. Chris and Bev are amazing with the rabbits and understand each Rabbits unique personality, and care for them with love and affection as if they were their pets too. My rabbit is what the vets class as fiesty and certainly likes things her own way and let's you know when she isn't happy. But Bev and Chris take this all in their stride and care for her amazingly. Hagrid also has a all veg and hay diet and that's no problem at all during her stay and they don't mind if I message them for an update, I also love receiving all the amazing videos of her stay with them. “The crown is under new management. They are working really hard to bring it back to its former glory. All the staff are lovely and the hotel has become a very nice place to stay. It's the perfect location for visiting the town with its many independent cafes and shops.”

“Stayed here last weekend in a family room. 2 adults 2 children. Had booked another hotel up the road that turned out to be a nightmare. Arrived at the hotel, plenty of room to park, yes it is on street but lots of space. Door was closed when we arrived didn't find this a problem, lady who was working reception answered really quickly and welcomed us in. Check in was smooth and easy. The receptionist was amazing, made us feel at home. (Wish I knew her name but she has red hair) hotel felt really secure, door closed most of the time to stop just anyone walking in off the street. The stair way upto room was very clean, there is a patch of damage to the decor on the way up but really not a problem and probably to be expected in a building of such age. Landing corridor to room all really beautiful with some lots of character, (chandelier, balcony) room was really nice, so clean so big for a family of 4. No issue in room with any facilities or cleanliness. Staff happy to help and really couldn't be nicer. Location is brilliant too, nice restaurant across the road, local shops near by and water park and money forest just a few mins away. Overall had a really nice time staying here and would definitely stay again. Thank you”

“Had a great stay here. Room was very spacious indeed. Great value for money. No tea or coffee in room, not an issue as they had it availible free downstairs. Also no food served here but lots of places near by that do. My shower did not work but the friendly guy at reception fixed this within 10 minutes by changing the shower head.”

“Fantastic location for walking to alton towers. Rooms clean and good value as they are spacious - plenty of room in the family suite with a separate bunk bed room and an outdoor area with table, plus a bath and separate shower. Handy to have the extras ls like a communal guest fridge, and I believe you can borrow the bbq. Lovely grounds. Relaxed environment where you feel welcome. One if our party is vegan and one vegetarian, we notified ahead and also enjoyed a tasty breakfast, thanks chained oak for the effort :-)”

“We had the best stay at The Bay Tree Bed and Breakfast! Anita was an amazing host — so warm, welcoming, and full of great recommendations about Alton. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, and her cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious. She truly made us feel at home. I can’t wait to stay here again!”

“Short version: Fantastic B&B to which we'd happily return. Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and personable and were very happy to help us out wherever they could; in my case, using the warm, dry, shed to replace a tubless bicycle tyre which had given up on the idea of retaining air inside it. The room was great and everything felt 'just so'. It's unashamedly at the more premium feeling end of the market and worth every penny of our stay there. Special mention must be made of the breakfasts which were spectacular. The continental breakfast was vast and included fruit juice, cereal, croissants, fresh fruit and toast. There is also the (additional charge) option of a Full English which is fabulous, although it may mean you don't eat very much until rather later in the day...there isn't a huge amount of plate showing between the food. Bonus points must also be awarded to the choice of putting peppercorns on the mushrooms. Pro tip 1: if you're after a cooked breakfast (and I'd urge you to at least try it once), it's a good idea to let someone know the night before so they can be prepared. Pro tip 2: Steve and Andy's local knowledge is excellent, both in terms of the eateries, but also the small roads to avoid so I'd recommend taking advantage. I did a Google check on one of them and it'd be ... interesting ... to take a car down there, especially as you're highly likely to meet a tractor coming the other way.”

“This was a fantastic little find for a last minute trip with the family. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The hot tub was a perfect addition which we enjoyed in the evenings. Wifi in the apartment also. Surrounding area is beautiful. Close to farm shop cafe for a beautiful breakfast. Very close to Alton Towers. Will be back for definite. The hosts are excellent, they really have a beautiful home and we're grateful to you.”
