“We used an EHUP hard standing pitch. You don’t need to ask for a quiet location as the whole site was beautifully quiet, relaxed and had families staying too. The facilities were certainly 5 star, the extras such as pizza and ice cream were a good value welcome treat! The showers and toilets were spotless - we would love to return. Rose and Philip were exceptional hosts, friendly yet not hovering over you!”
“Gorgeous little quiet, well laid out site. Great showers and washing up facilities. Large dog walking area. Lovely views across the Cheshire plains. We will definitely be returning xxxx”
“We stayed in the bell tents and they were fantastic. Comfy beds, an electric fire, kettle and enough electric sockets for all your needs. Kitchen is well equipped if you do not have your own stove. You can use the microwave and fridge/freezer. 4 comfy outdoor chairs provided with bell tents and a water tap right by the tent. Wood for a camp fire can be purchased. Spacious camping areas, beautiful scenery and lovely wardens to help if needed. Toilets and showers are clean and of a good standard. Toilet/shower area is well light at night. Great for kids as it is very safe. Would definitely return”
“Lovely lady that owns this place. I have posted a video on my YouTube channel. User @thefisherdan and it's the Macclesfield wild camping video. Thank you for letting us stay at such short notice. So cheap too!”
“Great little campsite. Really friendly owners too. Facilities are all you need really clean and tidy. Stayed with electric hookup. Outside the field is not particularly busy but fast road. My eldest was delighted at all the farm vehicles which went past! If we were ever in the area we would stay again! Only minor downfall is there is no play facilities but we didn't hang around on site very long.”
“We stayed here on a fully serviced pitch in our own tourer. Such beautiful site in lovely surroundings, so well kept and with luxury shower, toilet and washing facilities. The little shop has a few essentials to keep you going. It also has firepits to hire so you can spend a cozy evening around the fire. The owners are so helpful, kind and friendly. Its a short walk to Hulme end where you will find a lovely country pub (The Manifold) which serves lovely food and drinks. This was our 2nd stay and we will definitely be back again.”
“Lovely campsite in excellent location with with very nice bathroom facilities. We stayed in the upper field which had lovely views. Lots of options for walks, cycle rides and climbs close by. The owners Trish and Wayne went out of their way to send me my electric toothbrush which I left in the toilets. Amazing service and would definitely recommend!”
“We stayed for a week this summer and loved it, very welcoming and friendly staff. Toilets and shower facilities are excellent, very clean and well maintained. Lovely communal building where we used the kettle and microwave provided. Great location for visiting the surrounding area. We had a campervan pitch, lovely in the evenings with so much wildlife! Would recommend and will certainly look to stay at other sister sites or come back to Longnor if back in the Peak District.”
“Beautifully kept site and lovely people. Best breakfast bap on the planet! Plenty of space for the tent and motorcycle, very highly recommended. Thanks guys!”
“We come to this site every year. Wonderful dog walks. Site within walking distance to Buxton. Great local pubs/restaurants. Spotless site and facilities.. what more would you want.”
“The Hales Hall caravan and camping site is in Cheadle Staffordshire. It's a large site that provides both tent and caravan pitches. They also have the choice of 3 types of wooden lodges which looks lovely but they are limited to just a few. On this site they have a statley home which as a restaurant that you can book a table even if you are not staying at the site. They have a bar with a good selection of drinks and friendly staff. They have all the amenities needed to make your stay comfortable toilets and showers blocks. This site is close to the Alton towers theme park and also a great place to stay if you want to explore some of Staffordshires beautiful walks and trials”
“Just spent a lovely peaceful 2 nights at the Leek C&CC and really did enjoy our short break. Well laid out location with a mixture of sites. Friendly staff and well maintained and spotlessly clean facilities. In fact nothing really to fault and everything to praise. Would recommend and will visit again.”
“What a great place for a short break. Loved it much I got extremely excited. I was also told not far was a local Dogging club but didn't see any. Let's hope next time.”
“We had a wonderful weekend with extended family staying in tents and safari lodges. The accommodation was fantastic, the lodges were luxurious, clean and spacious. The facilities were fabulous, particularly the biotop pool and the kids beach area. We had an age range of baby to 70s and there really was something for everyone. Plus all the staff were so helpful and nice, even collecting a birthday cake which had been incorrectly delivered for us. We will be back…highly recommended. Ty.”
“I have spent hours and hours on Cannock Chase, walking, biking and riding...and all from a baby. Why then, have I never been here before????!!!!!!!!! The staff are amazing. Super friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. Well cooked, well presented, tasty and good portion size. The location is amazing. Eating area and toilets spotlessly clean. Nothing more to say other than make sure you go!”
“Great place to stop with the caravan just round the corner from the theme park shower and toilet block was clean washing up facilities great, we parked on the grass and tou need plenty level blocks etc to get set up but we had a lovely spot , staff very friendly and easy to deal with, kids loved the park !lovely field up the top for dog walking”
“Lovely location. Amazing views. Pretty flat and good ground. The Hollies is a superb simple camping location, with closeby long walks around the reservoir or up the Roaches. There pizza van is open Friday and Saturday in high season. Facilities get busy if the site is full, but so does everywhere. My only niggle is policy allows people to arrive late. That disturbed the peaceful eve for everyone else on the site. Will definitely be back.”
“Fantastic Family Run Park. Beautiful Lodges and Statics. Some Beautiful Statics and Lodges for sale.perfect place to get away from it all.Stunning Views. Pubs within walking distance. 100% recommended to everyone.”
“Paul has to be the best host we have ever come across. So very helpful , friendly and understanding. The site is spotless.....the facilities are wonderful....we had a lovely stay here and will be going back really soon. We have marked this as one of our new regular go-to places. The only thing we would say , is be careful ordering from the smokehouse restaurant at the end of the lane...it's really expensive for what you get, but that obviously is nothing to do with Abdo hill campsite. Thanks Paul, your campsite is fantastic, we will be back very soon. 5⭐ from me and Charlie!”
“Stayed in the Robin Lodges for 4 nights, it was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. The Lodge was clean tidy and homely with all appliances and facilities all working well with an abundance of towels, shampoos, conditioners and shower gel. The surround sound speakers with Bluetooth on the wall was a nice touch. The local pub is a 20 min walk away and was really nice, we didn't eat but the food looked great. If you want a peaceful and chilled break this is the place for you. The onsite shop has all the necessaries and has a selection of local beers, wine and gin, DVDs and games. I would recommend you buy the WiFi package for £25 for 7 days if you are going to need/want internet, I know it sounds like a lot but you can connect 5 devices and there is literally no signal at all on the site and it worked really well. The only thing I would want to add is a light that you can have permanently on outside in the hot tub area (that's being very picky). All in all i would 100% recommend Quarry walk park.”
“Beautiful holiday park, staff great, clean and well spaced out between the lodges in the quieter part of the park, lodge was stunning, so spacious, everything you could need, fantastic, been a few times now”
“First time there in our newly converted VW camper and it was absolutely lovely, no noise apart from the birds singing. Loads of space and greenery just lovely being at one with nature and owner was really welcoming, definitely will be visiting again.”
“Staffs are very accommodating and very friendly! Very clean wash area shower and toilet. Shared his knowledge about animals to the kids. Definitely recommended +5 star”
“One of the best places I have ever stayed. The lodge was amazing, very spacious and very well made up. Will definitely book to stay there again.”
“What a fantastic venue in a stunning setting in the middle of the countryside, it has everything you need. Perfect for large family gatherings or getting together as friends. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!”
