Great touring site with good level pitches even though the site is on a hill - very clean & modern toilet/shower block, nice cafe area. Pitches ate fully serviced with 16 amp electric - we were there from Sunday to Friday and it was very peaceful not sure how busy it will get over the weekend we will definitely visit again
The pitches here are huge and very level at the top of the pitch. All fully serviced which is excellent. The facilities block is amazing with heated floors and automatic temperature taps. Showers just perfect! Just a short walk to Salop Leisure for browsing and a bus stop right outside to get to Shrewsbury. Uber and Veezu taxi apps also very good for this area. Will definitely stay again when travelling to Shropshire.
Love this campsite. It is so well laid out with all the activity areas on one side and accommodation on the other. The pitches are large and split with low hedges, all pitches have fresh water and electric and somewhere to discard waste water. We were in a campervan and the drive over grey waste area was great. The facilities are excellent and the music playing in the toilet/shower area is a nice touch. The cold water swimming was a refreshing 11degrees! If you want a walk, you can walk down by the river across to Atcham, where you will find Attingham Park (National Trust) and The Mytton and Mermaid pub - if its wet beware of the mud!
Had two nights at this cracking site. We had a fully serviced pitch which I have to say was excellent. The location is very handy for getting out and about especially going into Shrewsbury. The toilet/shower block has to be the best I’ve come across.. The staff were all really friendly and had a smile for us .. We will be back..
We had a wonderful weekend with extended family staying in tents and safari lodges. The accommodation was fantastic, the lodges were luxurious, clean and spacious. The facilities were fabulous, particularly the biotop pool and the kids beach area. We had an age range of baby to 70s and there really was something for everyone. Plus all the staff were so helpful and nice, even collecting a birthday cake which had been incorrectly delivered for us. We will be back…highly recommended. Ty.
Fab site, great location and all facilities are clean and looked after. One big downfall, the showers was cold, I mean ice cold. Everyone jumping out and moaning, a lot of people in changing rooms was saying this was very unusual for this site but unfortunately that was the case on the weekend we stayed. That was the only downfall, everything else was amazing, great for kids and looking forward to returning in the summer so we can use the large sandpit.
Spent a weekend here and can't say I'd be in much of a hurry to return. Although the lodge was comfortable and had pretty much all you need. I felt the oven could do with an upgrade as the dial for the heat setting has no numbers on. The oven is either on or off, you can't set a temp. As for the site, its definitely not pram friendly or wheelchair friendly for that matter. From the moment you drive in until you get to the lodge (which is by foot only) you must drag everything over stones which is such hard doing. Why they have stones over the entire park is anyone's guess but its not made for wheels. The park was fun and had plenty there. The cafe was a tad expensive, £2.50 for a single sausage roll. On the whole I doubt I'd be back, nor recommending here. The final nail for me was the smell of cannabis coming from the car park on departure. This I know is no fault of the park site.
What a great place. We have been twice with our friends and have hardly ever felt so relaxed. We chilled and enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. There is plenty do. The sauna was a really nice addition to the stay. We'll definitely be going back.
