Christmas 2025. 5 stars for room, it was our own caravan! 2 stars for service, on Boxing Day 2025. I asked about flying a drone over the site, with a view to creating a short video of the site, which then would go on my YouTube channel, then links to my site could be added to their website which lets future customers see the site before visiting. A perfect PR situation and free. A strict stern NO, came from the male sat on reception who reaked of booze when breathing in my direction. Probably a damn good party, but highly unprofessional to stink off alcohol sat at the front desk of the company. The female sent a text to the owner (to the owner, happy birthday for 26th), but I'll guess, she never explained my request properly. I'm just starting with drone flying and this would be great for our touring world and beyond. I have done this with other sites I've visited without a problem. On leaving Sat morning, I mentioned the water pressure was dismal, but the gentleman seemed unconcerned. Finally 4 stars for location, not well sign posted, Approach track quite ruttered with potholes. Quite a windy site, on top of a hill! 4 stars for facilities, well sheltered elson point, a proper dog wash and decent toilet/shower block. But left in the dark mid shower was troublesome, maybe add more PIR sensors, not just one by the door and reduced the time to 5 minutes, lights will stay on with people there and turn off quicker when gone, I'd say at least 50% saving on the electric bill. And customers not left in the dark and without the current risk of slipping in the dark, H&S would have a field day. But, water pressure aside, and fixing the black outs, we'd be happy to return again. Best thing NO KIDS.

I stayed here in my motorhome, 3rd camp out. They were great, so helpful. Sadly I never got there until late, so never got to experience the Gym etc. But a hadn't got my head around the hot water, so I used theirs. And it was warm, clean and even some tunes playing. All the team I met were very helpful, its always a worry when you travel solo. But it was great, sun rise was, got some great ideas for walks. Will definitely be back. KR Antony

Just returned after 4 days here, all we say is thank you, from start to finish an award worthy site, from the welcome note from the staff, the spotless clean and modern site, we opted for the static caravan as opposed to a lodge this time but suited us perfectly, the well stocked caravan greeted us. Just the little things you always forget. Again spotless caravan, bubbling hot hot tub and large bedroom with kingsize bed. As we used this as a base for a series of local walks this was certainly a welcomed retreat at the end of the day. Huge thanks to the staff and what they do, we will certainly be back.

Just had our second visit, first time was in a fantastic lodge, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well furnished. We loved relaxing in the hot tub after exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside, so much to see within a short distance. This time we took our caravan and had another lovely time, excellent, well maintained facilities and all of the staff are so friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our caravan which they quickly helped us solve. We love the peaceful atmosphere and the wildlife especially the little rabbits when you look out of the window. It is a very special place, truly refreshing, we can't wait to come back again.

We stayed for a week this summer and loved it, very welcoming and friendly staff. Toilets and shower facilities are excellent, very clean and well maintained. Lovely communal building where we used the kettle and microwave provided. Great location for visiting the surrounding area. We had a campervan pitch, lovely in the evenings with so much wildlife! Would recommend and will certainly look to stay at other sister sites or come back to Longnor if back in the Peak District.

Absolutely lovely place, from check in with a lovely lady , the tranquil setting, the wonderful wildlife. Amazing, relaxing place far away from everything. Facilities in the Hawthorn lodge were home from home. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic few days away, relaxing in the hot tub.

We booked a winter break at Longnor Wood. This place had everything we were looking for: tranquil surroundings, adults-only policy, small pods perfect for glamping. It is clear the owners take pride in their work from the care put into maintaining the grounds. Nothing was too much to ask, either: everyone we spoke to was willing to help/advise. We will definitely be back in the summer season to be able to try out the sun loungers!

Love it here! Just got back from our second visit in 8 months- the lodge is lovely and the hot tub is great, plus a beautiful location- what more could you want? The welcome chocs and fizz was just lovely too!

Very peaceful site, just what you would expect from a Tranquil Park site. Not the easiest road to get here with a caravan though. Amazing views though as you are pretty high up. The pitches aren't very level but okay. Plenty hot water in the shower block and good water pressure. Though to be honest they could do with a good deep clean. Great they have a hair dryer but could do with either paper towels or a better hand dryer. We really enjoyed our time here.
